This doesn't seem to change anything (tried your values). Before I've raised the values up to 200000 and this hasn't improved anything (Config/graphics.cfg). My computer is runnning a Radeon9800Pro with Catalyst 6.12.

Is there a way to increase the distance where the ground texture changes to a lower resolution? In the mountains the transition from detailed texture to lesser detailed texture is visible clearly: I've tried following (without success) in graphics.cfg: Increasing Camera{} settings (Clipping) Increasing LandLodDistances{} (especially LandDay up to twice the default values) Tweaking OldLandNoise{} - in my trials this has replaced the snow texture with default gras texture ("noise" sounds like a procedural rendered texture)Does a value exists which controls the ground texture distances?

Fore flaps alignments I hope it isn't too obvious that it's not my native, too. EDIT: Ah, that you've meant by saying "our". ;) Grey Line and Bolts/Lines alignment Lines and Details alignment Heed the explanations next to the screenshots, pls!

I've encountered some lines that doesn't match the model parts: Front part of wings: Grey lines (Details) don't fit to the front edge of the wings (they aren't visible or not placed at the edge) Front part of wings: Dark-grey, bold lines (surrounded by bolts) don't align with the fore flaps. The more they reach the wingtip the more they go forward to the front wing edge. Furthermore they finish too early. Thats visible in your screenshot, too.I'm going to fix that for my skin, I just wanted to let you know of these issues (if they are issues actually .. I couldn't find Su-33 photos to prove that).

Ah okay, sorry. :)

looking to purchase online but dont think I will.

I do agree. Furthermore you haven't to get a new activation key when you change your hardware or the BIOS version of your hardware. So the CD Version is the best choice. -
The 8800 have an improved image quality overall. Respectively I should say it hasn't the worse image quality of the GeForce7 series. The image quality of the GeForce8 regarding AF and AA could be compared with ATi's X1xx0 series. Furthermore GF8 supports Transparent Anti-Aliasing to improve transparent textures. Image Comparison AA of GF7, ATi X1xx0, GF8 Image Comparison AF of GF7, ATi X1xx0, GF8

That doesn't matter ... nVidia & AMD/ATi heavily optimizing their drivers for the 3DMark series b/c it is used in many benchmark tests (unfortunately, b/c it hasn't anything to do with real gaming - one can't compare video card series and driver versions with this application due to the driver optimizations). The best way to measure fps is to use savegames of your favourite game and fraps.

ATI Radeon HD 2900XTX (R600) lost with knockout
Roi Danton replied to TorwaK's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I second that. Furthermore stock overclocked 8800GTX versions are already available for a price about $100 less than Ultra. -
OMG, a Dell mainboard without BIOS settings. When this also happens if he download and upload something for this critical hour then you can throw out the network controller. Also test other games in multiplayer for this period of time.

ATI Radeon HD 2900XTX (R600) lost with knockout
Roi Danton replied to TorwaK's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Ooooold ... known bug that XTX is only as fast as XT. That's the reason AMD/ATi rescheduled the release date of the XTX. XT's target is the 8800GTS and it's priced similar. ($399 list price - about 360€) -

Glowing_Amraam served already many vids with his huge Hans Zimmer collection. ;) I prefer the difference of Andrews music selection (though i like H.Z.'s music). -
Ah, thats the reason they show the same part of the texture on two places. Elegant solution, just a lil' bit confusing. Thanks for this hint! :) So my post above is nonrelevant.

Texture changes Ah yes, I forgot ... but I also remember that this is not everytime the case. As I tested this in certain camera-plane-angles the "right" part of the engine is visible from time to time, too. I'll try to get a screenshot of this case. EDIT: I've remembered correctly, see attached screenshots. Tested with LockOn v1.12a, textures in TempTextures folders as well as CDDS archive.

Yes, I didn't found an image of the Su-33 Engines. The Su-27 & Su-30 have cooler inlets (I mean the black ripples on the downside of the air inlet) on both engines, too.
-
Thx for fast reply! Btw, In the "R" template I'm missing the cooler inlets of the right engine, though it seems it should be there (haven't found an img of Su33' downside)?
-
Very nice! Wondering if you inserted the coat from a photo or if you painted it per pen/mouse?
-
I'm updating my Su-33 skins using your 4k template. I'm not familiar with the logo's used: Отличный самолет = rewarded plane (translated from german) - when this symbol is attached to the Su-33 in reality? Надпись Су - is Cy written on every Su-33? Богатырь = Warrior? (loosely ru-de->en) What does this mean? Btw, we need normal maps in Lock On! :sorcerer:

Roi Danton replied to Andrew_McP's topic in Screenshots and Videos
Wow, now I've seen the movie and the music is great. It's a kind of "never seen (heard) before" in a Lock On movie. I have no transfer limit and the server is located in Dresden where we have a good bandwith connection due to TU; AMD, Infineon and Quimonda factories. -

I have no account there so I have to wait after each DL if I want to do several downloads. -
Good idea to use layer effects that way (Screenshot #2). And the texture placement problem on the air inlet isn't visible, too - good work! A template with the "bumpy layers" would be outstanding. ;)
-
The model looks incredible! Also the pilots are designed very detailed.

Were these skins ever created?
Roi Danton replied to SuperKungFu's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
It seems that you have used a different background color in the L file? Check the resp layer in your template for filters.
