Can we get a 3-position switch binding for the tailhook please? It needs to be put in Park for flight and after landing. Currently the only bindings available are Hook Up and Hook Down. Thank you!!

It says the video is private.

From what I've seen, since the Lock On days, ED hasn't teased, hinted at, or expressed in any way any interest in adding the KC-10 back to DCS. With the glacier-speed of DCS development (I'm not knocking the development speed. ED isn't a AAA studio. Just stating a fact), if they start on the KC-10 tomorrow, we won't see it for another few years at least. Look at the revamp of the B-52, B-1, and S-3. I can see the logic from ED'S standpoint, though. They already have an American big wing tanker in the KC-135, so the KC-10 would be so low on their priority list, I likely won't see it in my lifetime. And I'm 35. From my standpoint, CH could do it quicker and just as well.

Please, CH, this aircraft has been sorely needed in DCS from the start, and it's highly unlikely ED will ever add it themselves. I've looked through your website and don't see it in the list, so I'm asking, please consider developing it. Thank you.

"Downgraded" Documentation Requirements for modules
Jetguy06 replied to cailean_556's topic in Chit-Chat
This is my best guess as to what's happening, outside the FAQ. They may have an NDA that prohibits them from talking about it, or they're just keeping the contract to themselves. There's really no telling. I'm excited for it. I love all my modules, from Cold War to the most modern, but for very different reasons. It's apples and oranges, akin to airplanes vs helicopters. Cold War aircraft are harder to fly, easier to operate, and require alot of practice and stick-and-rudder skills to put rounds on target, especially for a fan of mud moving like myself. I get a real sense of accomplishment when I hit my target in, say, a Phantom, and my thought process is usually, "Wow... look at what I was able to do!!" Modern aircraft are easier to fly and harder to operate. But the capabilities they possess are incredible. I come away from flights in them with a smaller sense of, "Look what I was able to do," and a larger sense of, "Wow... look what this aircraft allows me to do!!" I also don't find flying modern aircraft in virtual combat any easier, by any huge stretch, if the scenario is set correctly. If you put the Viper (or the F-35 for that matter) in a scenario where your only threats are MANPADS, ZU-23s, ZU-57s, KS-19s, and SA-2s, where you would feel at home in something like a Phantom, sure it'll feel incredibly easy to fly in like an airliner, drop a few JDAMs, and go home. But match the threat to the platform. Put the Viper or F-35 against some S-300s, Sa-15s Sa-19s, etc., and the challenge returns. It's all about the context of the era and capabilities of your aircraft vs the era and capabilities of your adversary in your scenario. If you're finding it too easy, ramp up the threat level. -
@RamsayThat was it!! Apparently when I was button mashing, trying to figure out what to do to get the pod working, I thought I was double pressing SSS down, but wasn't dping it quickly enough. Now everything is working. Thanks for the help!!
-
I've tried the double pressing SSS down. Maybe I wasn't pressing it quickly enough. It looks like I'm not in HTS mode, but I'm not sure how to enter HTS. Is that done with the double tap of SSS Down? Edit: I see now on the chart. Double pressing SSS Down enters HTS Mode. I'll give it a try later and see what happens.

Anyone else notice this? I've been jumping back into the Harrier for the first time since the Razbam incident started, and I can't get the TPOD to work as it should. All the videos I've pulled up on YouTube show different controls via the Sensor Select Switch... one direction goes to IR, another zooms, etc. And one essentially makes the pod SOI. None of these are working for me. With the pod pulled up and in AG master mode, up does nothing, left centers/decenters the EHSD map and cycles the RWR, aft cycles between TV and LST for the DMT, and right brings up the NAVFLIR. Im up-to-date on all patches (except the one today, 12/24/24, I'm downloading it as I type this). Is this a bug that has crept back in from the Razbam situation or am I missing something? Thanks!!

Thanks. I got the empty pylons working, but I can't figure out where, precisely, to add the { CLSID = "<CLEAN>", arg_value = 0.0 }, lines. Everywhere I've tried has caused DCS to freeze as soon as I load the Mirage F1 loadout menu in the mission editor. I can have the empty pylons, but I can't remove the pylons to have a clean jet again. It's fine, but it's driving me nuts knowing I could do more

Good to know. I'll give it a shot next time I fly the 'Cat.

This. Even landing on the super-short (~8,000ft) runway at Batumi, I can get to taxi speed without wheel brakes at all, every time. Assuming you're landing normally (airfield landing, at or below max landing weight, anti skid set to both, speed brake fully deployed, DLC deployed, full flaps, on-speed), once you touch down go full aft stick (GENTLY... too quickly and you'll pull the nose gear back off the runway!!) and use left/right stick, not the rudders, to maintain centerline. Depending on the airfield and runway length, you may not need to use wheel brakes at all until you're clear of the active and you're stopping for EOR/Dearming. Hope this helps!!

correct as is DAP (Display Adjust Panel) Control
Jetguy06 replied to SunDevilPilot's topic in Bugs and Problems
Bumping this. I'm having this problem also, and don't know how to fix it. Instead of the LOS Reticle being in the natural center of my vision, the Field of Regard Box is instead. I have to look up, almost painfully, to read torque. -
Sorry to necro such an old thread, but where is this lua file located? I've found a couple under CoreMods, but I can't find one with the pylon arg_values. Thanks!!

Thank you so much!! It worked perfectly!!

Hi all. I've googled around and couldn't find a satisfactory solution, so I'm asking here. Can someone give me a step-by-step guide to using my Pimax 5k headset without Steamvr? Steamvr causes irritating tracking jitter and lag in the pit, and I know it's not limited to DCS because it's always done it in IL2 as well, and I used to fly that in Steamvr when I had my Oculus CV1. The Oculus was butter smooth in DCS, but laggy and jittery in Steamvr. I'm also having an issue where Steamvr crashes every time I finish a flight and the debriefing screen is loading in. Every. Single. Time. I can't finish a mission and accept the results because the app crashes before the debriefing screen finishes loading in. I also hate that I have to have DCS, Pitool, Steam, and Steamvr running simultaneously. When it was my Oculus, it was just DCS and the Oculus app. I'm done with Steamvr, and I'd like to go with another option compatible with my Pimax. If yall can, please give some recommendations for a good substitute, and help to walk me through disabling Steamvr and swapping to the new alternative? Thanks!!
