  1. Thanks jeff
  2. Just ran the Mozdok mission after seeing the fix for the "fourth" BK90 not being released was fixed. I just ran the Mozdok mission with 2 x BK90 and only one launched. Weapon params were set to launch both. Sorry, I didn't save the track. I just looked for it. My loadout was 2 x bk90 and 2 x KB countermeasures dispenser pod. KB set to auto release. BK90 were set to 921000, no altitude setting. ****Thank you for the Viggen, it's a hell of a lot of fun.
  3. Been using this since you posted it, just wanted to say thanks!
  4. It does work, but if your first waypoint (initial course) is more than 15 degrees you need to use the reference button on the runway.
  5. Correct QFE is written on your target card located on the kneeboard. To save people some time the correct QFE is 1052. You will now see the hud symbols
  6. Great job on the vid! Thanks for taking the time
  7. I have to agree, solid suggestion.
  8. Both! That's a really tough choice. I'd love to see a high fidelity Fulcrum but I have to go with the F-16 due to it's multi-role capabilities. If I could pick ANY two planes to put up for a vote i've always wanted to see a Tu-160 or B-1 in game. It would be pretty cool to have supersonic bombers.
  9. I got some cougar MFDs. If i'm flying the a-10 ill use both of them but if i'm flying anything else I always have 1 of the MFDs set to switches then I use the 2nd MFD to control the radio commands. I create the macros through voice attack. I also create string macros...i.e. mirage Jetison sequence or the Mig21 landing gear with the gear lock... I also use Voice Attack along with Vaicom sometimes, but mostly I just use button macros because ill be listening to music or busy chatting with people on TS.... So basically... Hotas: Essential controls Cougar MFDs: Secondary controls, Macros, AI Radio Menu... all macros programmed through voice attack because it's easy and works well. With all these options I have I only require minimal use of the mouse. I've even gotten good at using the MFDs while wearing my Oculus Rift... Though utilizing VAICOM at that point is the best option.
  10. Good post. I've been around much longer than my forum account and i've seen it grow. I started flying when Black Shark was in beta. This place has literally become a part of my life. It's amazing how much ED has grown the simulator and the community. Bringing in all these talented 3rd parties to create even more content is just brilliant. Seeing all the modules take shape over the years has been great fun. Now we have all these talented campaign developers too... It really is mind blowing when you think back 7 or 8 years. Even longer for you guys who were playing Flanker and FC1. I have so many memories from this community, it's all good stuff. People who love it and stick around get used to the development pace. Considering the complexity of what they're doing and the size of the teams i'd say the pace is staggering. I don't even want to imagine a combat flight sim community without ED. I buy every module. Even if i'm not particularly interested in one i'll still grab it eventually. Gotta keep these guys fed. **EDIT Shout out to all the mod devs too. Seen so many amazing mods too.
  11. Right on dude, been waiting for this! Screw working, im busy with this today. Congrats on the release Ranger! and thanks
  12. 10/10 music LOL Thanks for sharing; that was some awesome footage. @OneBlueSky; nice summary. One thing I want to mention about this F-5 is that it performs exactly how I would have imagined. You can especially feel it on approach and landing. I'm still flying this thing consistently and a lot. I love 99% of the DCS modules (based on personal taste). I own all of them except 2 of the trainers. I'm going to start flying this thing online now after working with it for two weeks solo. The videos people are posting is exactly how I imagined it would be. I love flying the Mig-21 too because of the play style. The dynamic is just tons of fun.
  13. BST, as usual, has given us a extremely high quality module. It's absolutely amazing. The F-5 has always been one of my favorite aircraft though since I was a kid so i'm just in a mind blown state. Anyone who loves this hobby of ours really needs to treat themselves to this module. I'd honestly say it is a must get. I could go on for a while but i'll spare everyone and stop here. Cheers
  14. I'm not sure if this will help everyone but I want to share just incase. The Y and X axis move at different speeds so both axis will not look identical by the time you're done. In my case my Y axis would move in small increments / was very slow at 51 and my X Axis was still pretty quick. I adjusted the Y axis accordingly until it closely resembled the speed of my X axis. As stated by someone in this thread earlier, input starts at 51. It isn't perfect, but it helps. I use a Warthog... What I did is... 1) Chose User Curve 2) Moved all the sliders up to 100 3) Moved Saturation Y Down to 51 and worked up from there. 4) I then raised the Saturation Y slider up by 20 then lowered all sliders to 80 except the last 3 which I left at 100. This allows me to have a higher speed when moving the mini stick to it;s threshold. I hope this helps someone. You now get this jist of it and can find your own preference with this base idea. It is a variation of the user curve trick many use on the KA-50 Cheers
  15. GetDataBack for NTFS really is amazing. I can completely vouch for this software. I was able to pull data off a slave drive which was deleted over a year ago. I have tried other data recovery software and this was the best. It was amazing to say the least
  16. Ouch, sorry to hear - BUT! Yea.... been there too. Pack up early - Don't work until Monday and relax. I'm a programmer myself and when things like this happen I look at it as a sign to take a mini vacation. All of us are overworked (Even if it is by our own choice)
  17. Thanks for the reply Shez, I appreciate it. Just to be clear the bombs did drop. Anyways, I was told it was a Nevada bug in the 2.0 forums too. Thank you! Cheers
  18. I've been flying the A-10C since it was in beta, so for many years now... I'm proficient with the plane and every system but who knows... maybe this is something new. I did RTFM to see if anything changed before coming to the forums. I didn't find anything. In mission 3, @ WP 8 I made my first attack run on artillery. I setup my GBU 38s and setup the TGP as usual, dropped via ccrp and the bomb did release but I got a note and the weapon station turned red. I banked around and dropped the other GBU 38, same thing happened. Then the same thing happened with both GBU 12s. All 4 bombs did not follow the laze either. The "L" was flashing but the bombs did not hit their intended targets. I went to read the MSG and it didn't make any sense to me. I printed the screen but for some reason after the mission, when trying to paste it and upload the MSG the area was black. So to get the MSG i'll need to go and fly it again. Anyways, like I said... bug or ignorance on my part. I just don't know yet. I'm going to play around in Nevada and drop some GBUs and see what happens. I'll report back later.
  19. Hey Striker, Sounds like you may need these. http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/documentation/f-15c_16-2_red_flag_briefings/ They're in the sticky at the top of the sub forum.
  20. I just finished my first run through of the campaign and I had to say thanks. The cost was a steal, I would had paid more for the briefings alone. Incredibly detailed briefings are one thing, but the personal notes and the way the tone is set... it blew me away. Anyone who plays through this campaign, try and take your time and read through the material provided because the material is just as incredible as the missions. I had to say thank you. This is the best single player experience I have ever had in a combat sim. Cheers
  21. Happy to help. You are correct. Every time you save custom views they will be saved in your C:\Users\>YOUR USERNAME<\Saved Games\DCS\Config\View\SnapViews.lua and DCS will look at that file before it looks at it's own stock file. ED just had the foresight to create a default one for us in case the edited one screws up our game. So in the future if you accidentally save a bad view you can just open it up and edit out the aircraft then do it again.
  22. Hi Skullleader, If you accidentally saved a bad snap view, your custom views are saved in C:\Users\>YOUR USERNAME<\Saved Games\DCS\Config\View\. They will be in the file SnapViews.LUA. You can just delete that file if you don't use any saved views for other aircraft or open it up and just delete the Mirage part. Your stock game file with the default head views is not altered at all so you don't need a replacement because you still have it. That is located in your DCS World folder.
  23. I have all your guides including all the ones from other sims. This one is my favorite. It's excellent and especially enjoyed the preface. Just want to say thank you for taking the time to write them all. Cheers!
  24. Hi! Just a few thoughts. Maybe one of these will help? Run from Administrative command prompt.: C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World OpenBeta\bin>dcs_updater.exe update If it's windows 10 have him check the folder security. Take ownership of the folder. You can Google how to. It's easy.
  25. Finished this tonight. Holy hell, Great fkn job. Thanks so much. Already want to ride through it again and try and do better. thanks so much, really.
