S! pilots, this is a quick heads up to let you know that the formula for the squadron rankings will be soon altered; til now, a squadron overall score has been determined by adding up individual SA points of own pilots; mission victory doubles those points for every pilot who was part of the winning coalition. The above stands but the new addition will be limiting the number of contributors to a squadron overall score to 5 pilots per squadron only; this means that for each squadron, only top 5 scores will count to determine the squadron overall score. This is to ensure fairness in cases where a squadron may be totaling more points because of more participants. This update has already been tested internally and is not affecting the current squadron standings, so this more of a preventive action for when it may matter in the future. I will post here soon as it gets implemented. -
I'd say you can't really know for sure. There are advantages and downsides either way. As Ralfi stated, sometimes it could be not bad of an idea to participate in an ECM orchestra and create a little chaos on the enemy's radar, which could let you close in unnoticed. However, the danger of getting killed by unseen missiles will always be lurking because your RWR gets much slower at picking up threats when you're music on. The enemy can also be tempted to shoot in the dark, so bottom line is caution ⚠

F-15C in FC3 does not show AWACS data

You can get BRAA radio calls from the AWACS in the game, but no tactical display like in the Russian counterparts. Newer versions of the F-15 do have datalink but FC is still simulating birds from the 80's era so you have many missing capabilities and features in comparison to latest models and this is true for every FC aircraft not only the Eagle. -

How to record Trks. on a Multiplayer server and edit them?

Yes, switch extension to Miz, open in mission editor, go to settings, enable externals views, save and exit, switch extension back to 'trk'. Now when watching, you should cycle through all air units using F2 and ground units using F7. -

Tracks are saved automatically, you don't need to activate anything for that. You'll usually find your tracks in Multiplayer folder under users/your username/saved games/DCS/tracks If you want to edit a track, say it's been locked by the hosting server and you'd want to enable external views, labels, map view..etc, you'd need to change its extension from .trk to .miz then fire up DCS and open it in Mission Editor, go to options and change settings as needed, then save it, go back and change extension back to .trk; it should now play with updated settings. Hope this helps. -

If you mean antenna vertical gimbal limits, I think it's around 40 degrees up and down.

Just a few additions to what has already been said above; your frame rate also matters, the lower, the more time you'd need to freeze your radar cone before moving it elsewhere. 5 seconds seem a bit too long for me; according to my own experience, a second or two is enough depending on your selected frequency and the nature of the terrain you're flying over. Also, make sure you scan high enough and low enough according to your own altitude; following formula is a good reference and worked quite well for me: take your own altitude in Km and scan as much low; example: flying 7km high, you'd need to scan down til -7 elevation. For the upper part, subtract your own altitude from 10 and scan as high as the result; example: flying 7km high, you'd need to scan up til +3 elevation. This is just a reference and as you may have noticed, it will take some time to scan the whole thing, so splitting this task with your wingmen can help a lot. You must tilt your radar left and right on each elevation, and even sometimes zigzag a bit while doing so to cover more than 120 degrees. The rear hemisphere zone (between 3 and 9 o'clock) is particularly vulnerable, so do not hesitate to turn around to restore your situational awareness when you starting feeling paranoid.

Like many folks, I've watched a lot of dogfights recorded from inside real cockpits and almost every time, it was about a lot of pulling and slow speed maneuvering, I have yet to come across a video showing more advanced BFM in the real thing. Please share if you know some. OF course, there would be exceptions, but generally, it makes sense to a certain extent; RL pilots have to cope with limited training hours, virtual pilots don't. Not surprisingly, a lot of air forces have started doing a lot of simulation training for their pilots, more cost-effective obviously. Also, it seems that a big chunk of your mental and physical strength will go into fighting high G force and fatigue in the real thing, virtual sticks do not deal with anything of the like and can focus 100% on the BFM aspect of the engagement. Lack of fitness would probably kill you before anything else in the real thing.

It all depends on speed; above 450km/h, the jet will turn and sustain speed better, not to mention the ability to engage and disengage at will (far superior thrust and aerodynamics) on top of far better vertical maneuvering capabilities. Below 450km/h, a prop fighter can turn better, but then all a jet needs to do is to build separation by either extending away or going vertical. Su-27 is way too much to handle for any prop fighter, just take a look at the far more modest Me-262 combat record vs allied prop fighters.

Even 'black belt' pilots (read veterans having spent huge amount of times flying PvP) do mistakes sometimes; IMO, try first to focus on improving your situational awareness; think of it as a red line or a dynamic limit that you should not cross to be able to drag the missile out of range and that you should get as close as possible to before firing your own missile in order to maximize your kill probability; It is dynamic because it depends on the engagement's parameters. As a general rule, the more altitude advantage you have over your opponent, the earlier you can fire and the more escaping room you have at your disposal. Add speed to that equation and you'd want to fly high and fast. Work with your radar and ensure nobody is closing in on you unnoticed. Every time you land back home safe after exchanging fire, congratulate yourself, go watch Tacview and assess the engagement and see if you could delay your shooting a bit more; almost always shoot by pairs of AMRAAM's in TWS mode. Remain patient and away from the 'red line', resist greediness and you'll start getting kills and making it back home in one piece.

Jittery and uncontrollable radar elevation

Few suggestions: - update your SST software if you're using it instead of in-game command configuration - If you're using SST, open Notepad and test those 2 buttons and see if they respond correctly on both separate hit and hold position. This is to make sure there is no conflict in the background. - Make sure your X-52 drivers are up to date. - Test your joystick in Windows control panel - disable your SST if your using it and assign those 2 commands in game and see if it works, if it does, then it is definitely your SST software or user profile. Hope this helps. -

The MiG should be on the to-do-list, just a matter of time IMO. It would also make sense to end up with new FM's and click-able cockpits for the whole FC family now that it's not related to Ubisoft anymore.

I've personally noticed through viewing Tacviews from past Joint Warrior battles that straight BVR kills are difficult to achieve regardless of your ride, unless the targeted pilot has limited skills; by straight kills I mean that your opponent is aware of your presence. Most of time, it comes down the the element of surprise or lack of situational awareness in complex situations where it's difficult to keep track of several threats simultaneously.
