JOINT WARRIOR 3 FINAL BATTLE – LIVE FEED – PILOT: <51>Camper
-
In fact, this how JW1 had been. We had had 2 GCI operators in addition to AWACS. We could implement that back again in future JW events. As for the numbers, we plan to keep increasing the limit incrementally to keep things safe stability-wise. Yes, I was trying to see if that is ever possible on Twitch or other streaming services. Post-fight videos are also good but not as good as live streaming. I agree that delaying the live feed is a must.
-
Anyone flying in tonight's showdown and wishing to live stream his own fight with comms on Twitch, let me know so I can embed on sa-sim and let audience know in advance. Send along any link you'd like to promote and will post below your live stream video.

Blue team managed to score several ground kills at Sochi, I can't say the same for Sukhumi as they haven't let opposition approach it. We suspect that this is an issue that appeared in team red vs team orange fight only, and most likely got triggered when adding a couple of client slots to the map and loading it into the server without a restart. Apologies to red strikers for the inconvenience.
-
Congratulations to red and blue coalitions for advancing to the final showdown after two action-packed battles. Thanks to all pilots who showed up today. S!

LIVE steaming from <51>Camper's cockpit: http://sa-sim.com/ EDIT: Pilot KIA. Transmission over.

I've added 2 Su-33's to the map and send that to Maverick and Frostie. Best is to PM Mav for that or even better connect to 104th TS if he's there. Added to reserve list. Welcome and thanks.
-
Hi guys, Thanks for signing up. I've added you as reserve pilots. Reserve pilots would jump in in case of no shows and this will be handled on first come first served basis (check your 'Reg #'). Please note that reserve pilots who are part of a squadron can only join same coalition as their squad-mates whereas lone-wolves can fit in any coalition.
-
Sure, no worries. Sure, you initially booked 2 slots and you' re free to rotate/substitute your pilots as you wish. As Maverick stated, we're going for the release version. This last update is for the Beta. I think we're good to go.
-
Yes, only refueling is possible there just like in JW2.
-
Quick heads up: 238th.lbae did not confirm their participation (4 slots), therefore a few reserve pilots have moved into the main roster. Roster changelog as below: Papaye, =36=Gaanalma, =36=Raf, =36=Bountyhunter moved from reserve into blue coalition Ramrod89 moved from orange reserve to blue reserve.
-
You guys are going against the blue team so I guess they will want to stay blue in game as well. You would then take red side and get that 5mn delay to offset those extra miles.
-
Planning rooms added, if you don't see yours, it means you have to PM your SA forum name so I can add you to your group. http://www.sa-sim.com/wp-content/forums/viewforum.php?f=29

Dear pilots, thank you all for signing up. We have managed to get a full roster over a few days only. This is boosting our motivation to continuously enhance the quality of our events. We hope you will enjoy flying in JW3! As much as we wanted to host large numbers and accommodate everybody, we are forced to stick to a limit to 13 pilots per team as initially announced. This is to ensure good game stability. We are slowly increasing the numbers and we do hope to provide more and more slots down the road. Sign ups have been managed on first come first served basis. Please see team roster and more info about those who didn't make it into the top 13 here: http://sa-sim.com/jw3-up-there-with-the-best-of-the-best/

Yes Max, as the name suggests, "Joint Warrior" is about joining forces with other pilots and go TvT. Roster-wise, you can PM me your suggestions about who you'd like to fly with and I will try to accommodate as much as possible. Will post preliminary rosters tonight. KIA or MIA are the same at this point, they both mean 'game over' :) As stability improves, we are planning to include a few Huey S&R slots that would give a second go to rescued pilots.

Yes, tracks will be available to public, ACMIs as well. Kindly let us know by posting your application once you know you can do it.

Hi Rush, Thanks for your feedback. It is tricky to come up with similar distances without compromising other aspects of the mission map. Beslan would be a good choice if it was lined up with the coast line. AWACS and tankers, which are very high value targets fly across the coastline, selecting Beslan would mean moving blue AWACS and tanker over the mountains and away from the seashore. That would significantly unbalance the mission from a tactical perspective. I went onto the map again to see Time On Station for everybody. I'd say keeping red fighters on the ground for 5 extra minutes would solve this issue. JW3 coalition roster and order of battle coming up soon.

F/A-18C in DCS 1.2.10
FLANKERATOR replied to Х-stounds's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
How come I never stumbled upon your channel...good stuff mate! -
No, you can take off and start your CAP but you wouldn't be allowed to do any ground pounding until the mission hits the 10mn mark. The A2G 10mn stand-by rule is there to deny any possible exploit that would allow a striker to scramble to reach an unprotected target area since fighters will have to cover much more distance to be on station at the start of the mission. I will add the coalitions to the first post with people who have already signed up and update as more join in. Thanks guys.

Joint Warrior 3 is the 3rd sequel of our Joint Warrior tactical battle series for Digital Combat Simulator, which we started a few months ago in association with both, the 104th Virtual Fighter and Bomber Squadron and the 51st PVO Regiment. After the success of JW1 an JW2, here we come again for more action inviting DCS pilots across the globe to join us for another night of force on force air combat. Joint Warrior 3 is the perfect opportunity for those who would like to improve themselves as DCS combat pilots as we will once again have some of the finest pilots out for blood. Beyond the competition aspect itself, JW is also a great gathering of people sharing the same hobby and an excellent opportunity to forge new friendships and interact with some of the most iconic squadrons on the DCS scene. I guess 4 pilots would be the minimum a squadron must have to compete (4v4). Last year, the format was stretchable up to 6v6. I wouldn't mind 8v8 for large squadrons. As for the date, I'm not sure we should wait for the new flight model to be released to go for SATAC or JW3... -

SATAC is for BVR-capable jets only but the BFM competition planned sometime after the release of the Flanker's new FM will include prop fighters as well, though in a separate pool, thus separate rankings. Thanks Rage, Max and Ganaalma, SATAC needs 8 teams at least to kick off, we have a few squadrons ready to roll, I will be back with more info soon. -

New Su-27 with PFM is coming out on 15 November, then as an open beta, it will need testing and approval. This is so we can have both F-15 and Su-27 using PFM's for the BFM competition (Top Gun Trophy 2). SATAC 2014 may be a good option now and because of low number of clients (12 at most) stability wouldn't suffer...Would be good to hear from squadron leaders if they have at least 6 pilots available for the upcoming 3 or 4 weekends...for those who wonder, SATAC stands for Squadron Air-To-Air Championship (4vs4 or 6vs6, best of 3 rounds), for more info on the 2013 edition: http://sa-sim.com/sa-online-tour-s-a-t-a-c-2013/ -

Greg, try to notify people though PM as some folks do not come here regularly (NFI, UVAF, 36th...). I'd fly this if I could. Good luck.
