  1. Usually the track from the server plays better, you could maybe ask the server's admin to send you that one track, enable externals and watch yourself or anyone else. There used to be an option allowing to jump into someone's cockpit, not sure if that is still available. At least, you will watch a valid ACMI.
  2. Absence of proximity fuse was most staggering to me. Look-down tracking and especially at that distance is not what an ER was designed for. Sure it can hit but that is going to be very difficult especially against a target that low and pulling 6G consistently. What would happen if instead of AI, we had humans switching to ILV/MED or diving aggressively to force a look up? Also, at that distance, they'd have closed in for an R-73/cannon shot. There are for sure things to be improved missile-wise, but maybe the priority is to fix how AI fights first.
  3. Well, I'll give your method a go next time, see how accurate the logs will be compared to the track/Tacview and report back. Thanks for your effort.
  4. Yes, absolutely. MP logs were much more accurate in FC2, hence automated stats were implemented by many servers. I'm not sure what's causing those issues in DCS. I hope ED will fix that soon, because and I hope I'm wrong, the only way to get a proper debrief right now is to generate a Tacview file and extract relevant logs manually, a bit of a PITA I would say.
  5. Good effort xcom. However, The real question is does DCS accurately generate logs itself? Often, kills get logged as crashes. This is good to get automated stats but you'll have to go manually through Tacview and see if there are any discrepancies with what actually happened. From my own experience, DCS does not log events accurately, especially kills. Ganaalma from the 36th squadron came up with a Tacview-based solution during SATAC 2013, then when I went through the actual recording, more than half of the kills weren't there or were saved as a crash.
  6. Yeah, that's one jaw-dropping screenie. Would love to see a high resolution copy of it as well.
  7. Welcome! Nice to see that much motivation from a new comer. I'd recommend reading Shaw's book, especially 1on1 similar and dissimilar A/C. But before, you'd first need to master the new F-15C flight model, try all the bread-and-butter BFM moves, also, get comfortable enough at transitioning from one another. That's a good starting point IMO. Don't watch RL videos too much and try to focus on the SIM if you want to get good at DCS. Good luck :)
  8. Yes thanks for pointing that out. I'll switch back to the previous plugin as it has an unsubscribe option.
  9. I'll second that. I'd also add rebooting the SERVER machine prior to loading up the mission file if possible (on top of all clients rebooting as well).
  10. Looking at Riptide's Tacview, I see valid kills with logical maneuvering, evasive actions and people 'looking' aware of incoming missiles. Spade's AIM120 kill on Breakshot from a 7nm away head on shot @ 13:06:40. Breakshot returning the favor to Spade thanks to an ET, fired just before getting hit by that 120. Ironmike's kill on Kunz using 120C, 12nm away. GregOzby's kill on Frostie via ET from 6nm away from rear aspect. Voka's visual kill on Rage by ET. Voka's visual kill on TaliG by ET. Slowhand hit by SA-15 from Gudauta. Ralfidude ejecting after taking damage from SAM at Gudauta. SA-15 destroyed by Chrico (A-10C) by AGM-65D. Chrico destroyed after taking damage from SA-15. But, on the other hand, it seems there was a huge desynchronization going on with victims not being aware they were hit while wingmen were seeing them on fire. This is what I understood from the impressions received on TS yesterday. Unfortunately, most Redfor pilots withdrew and left the server after the first losses as it seemed to be unplayable for them because of the network issues. That left the way wide open for the A-10C's to attack Gudauta. I will need to watch tracks from Breakshot and Spade to see what actually happened, link events together and try to come up with a final report. Guys, please understand this is for the sake of fairness and transparency towards everyone. I'm sure there was heavy desynch going on, but it's my duty and responsibility as the event organiser to prove it in the most official and appropriate manner. Thank you for your understanding.
  11. Yeah, 30 appeared to be too much for DCS to handle when missiles are flying around. Thanks everyone for showing up, thanks to GCI operators and 51st for hosting.
  12. Sure mate, done. Thanks Greg, Kunz (Red MiG-29S) could have problems joining tonight as he has a power outage because of local heavy rain. He's trying his best but might not show up.
  13. Hey fellas, just got back from work. Quick shower and brb to go through all the messages. Getting back to you shortly.

  15. Done mate. Blufor's planning room here: http://www.sa-sim.com/wp-content/forums/viewforum.php?f=27 That F-15's gonna grant you special attention from Riptide through the GCI channel :D
  16. Done mate and that Su-27 is now based at Anapa just like the rest of the squad. Reminder to all: 1 x F-15C out of Tbilisi is available.
  17. Lads, RIPTIDE will have to replace Maverick as the GCI operator for Blufor, therefore his F-15C is now up for grabs!
  18. Noted. I think Camper will jump on that from the wait list.
  19. Hi Ralfidude, I have replied to this in your planning room. Let's keep all tactical discussions in there please.
  20. 1.2.8 by unanimous decision so it seems, hopefully it will turn out to be a good call :)
  21. Sure mate, granted. Blue HQ this way: http://www.sa-sim.com/wp-content/forums/viewforum.php?f=27 Thanks mate for your insight. It appears that most people have already updated to 1.2.8. Also, you will have an Su-27 not Su-33 out of Anapa just like Greg, your squadmate. See roster here: http://sa-sim.com/?p=7384 We could use Su-25 instead of Su-25T if the Frogfoot drivers request it. I've checked with 51st who will be hosting this event. They said 1.2.8 seems as stable as the previous version on their server, so let's just use 1.2.8 for this event.
  22. Sure mate :) Red planning room and mission intel this way: http://www.sa-sim.com/wp-content/forums/viewforum.php?f=28 Thanks for letting us know in advance mate ;)
  23. Sure mate, done, Camper will be the first to replace any fighter not showing up on Saturday.
  24. Welcome Fahhh, long time! Good to see another very capable old-timer in the house ;) That last MiG-29S out of Maykop has now your callsign sticker on it :) 1 Su-25T left gentlemen, then a wait list eventually.
  25. It's no bother mate, nothing has been decided yet for May 4. Saturday May 3 is the D-day for now.
