2 UVAF pilots have been called in by red team and one reserve. Reserve pilots could join coalitions that are not completed yet (under 10 pilots). Check out the updated roster on post#1.
-
Awesome - Thanks! There are other reserve pilots waiting in the brown coalition, let me know if Skyhell and Goldhawk would like to join them. Do you guys have a website for 71st and ECV56?
-
Ace, a little plus for you buddy - try to practice above contrail supersonic RTBs. This will save you a lot of time, discourage any pursuer, keep you relatively safe and give you the upper-hand over any sneaky bandit on your way back (usually low and hiding). Don't climb up too steeply, use burners to hit mach 2.0 above 10km high. You'll need some fuel to burn on your way up but once there, your fuel consumption will be very efficient, even on burners. You'll be on final approach before you know it :)

Hi Max, I've put you onto the brown list, which needs 5 more pilots to secure a place in the pool. Note: There's one place that became available for any interested lonewolf in the purple team as BEEF pulled out of this. Hi, Yes 8 fighters and 2 strikers mandatory for all. Could you give me the name of the 10th pilot please?
-
Sweet - Thanks Greg! I've put Metatron and Talos on brown but will try to keep you all together as we get more entries.
-
Are you included in the above or are those your buddies in addition to your own slot?
-
Alright, I've moved you into purple alongside your squadmates and WoAyumi moved into orange.
-
Awesome!
-
Sounds good mate.

Keep practicing AND studying, A2A can be quite challenging when it comes to PvP. Some people down here have been doing this since LOMAC!! Trust me, experience is a big factor. This sim may have become more eye candy with more features, but the skills required to outfight your opponents in A2A have remained practically the same. Just stick with PvP if you want to get better at it. Coop against AI may feel nice, but that won't help you become a better pilot. TvT is the best training environment you could get as it combines both PvP and Coop against real opponents just like in RL. Read a lot, fly a lot and watch every ACMI you can to make a lesson out of every loss.

Hi mate! thanks for the quick reply. Maybe the next one then. Remember that, unlike SATAC, this is coalition-based, so even few pilots could jump on the available spaces, you're NOT forced to send 10 pilots to participate.
-
Added a grey and a cyan coalition taking the number of teams to 8 and this will be the maximum we can take for JW2.
-
I'm temporarily holding 4 spaces but I need you to confirm the names and the aircrafts. Thanks! Bienvenue ;) Thanks mate and looking forward to seeing you among the participants in one of the upcoming events :) Looks like UVAF are checking with their pilots and I've personally sent an invitation to NFI!
-
Mate, YOU were and still the ONLY 36STV in the orange coalition. This is where I put you when you posted the first time. 'Wanted' and 'Raf' are in the purple team as the orange team is fully booked. So that's why I'm asking whether you'd like to move to purple as well or keep your slot in the orange team? Check out post#1 please.
-
Alright mate, that's 3 slots. Would you like to follow you squadmates into the purple coalition or stay in the orange team?
-
SEAD is not needed for primary targets (Sochi/Shukumi) as there are only Strela's and Shilka's out there, in addition to few static targets. So both A-10 and Su-25 would do fine.
-
You are already in the orange coalition. If you meant another squadmate, please confirm and post his callsign (1 striker slot available in red team as of now). Alright if you guys have already spoken to each other. @WoAYumi: I moved your Su-25T into the red team with 51st, any inquiry, please let me know asap.

Granted sir and welcome! Reminder: 2 slots available in red coalition. 9 slots available in purple coalition. 10 slots available in brown coalition.
-
Welcome Wodan! Yes, I've added 2 coalitions (purple and brown). These 2 teams will enter the event if they get a full roster (10 pilots), otherwise, these pilots will be called in if any cancellation/no show.
-
Post#1 amended. 3 slots left (Red forces need 2 strikers and blue coalition needs 1 striker). We might add more coalitions if interest is big enough, so please let us know if you'd like to partake and we'll create a reserve space that could be converted into additional coalitions. Thank you all!

Here we go! After our successful first round of the Joint Warrior battle series, we are back for more action and pleased to announce the sequel that we codenamed 'Op Quarterback', a name that is self-explanatory as strategy and tactics will once again be key to success. We have decided to try 10v10 this time (8 fighters + 2 strikers). Kick off has been set for Saturday July 26 at 17:00 Zulu Please use this link for time reference: http://www.worldtimeserver.com/current_time_in_UTC.aspx Participants will be put into teams of 10 pilots each. A team may need to win preliminary battles in order to make it into the final faceoff depending on the number of participants. Mission objective will remain the same: Fighters will go for air superiority over the target area to protect own assets and make way for strikers to engage primary targets. Maverick, JW's mission designer has amended the mission from round 1 as below: Gudauta has become neutral and all red troops have moved to Sochi. SA-15 (Tors) have been removed from the target area (Sochi/Sukhumi), thus protecting ground HVT's will rely entirely on BARCAPs from fighters. Tankers have been removed while AWACS will still be there. Scoring-wise: Only ground targets at Sochi/Sukhumi will award points to strikers. No need for doubling the points out there anymore. Knock-out rule (All primary targets destroyed) has been removed, the side with the best score after 3 hours will be declared winner. Current Roster Red Coalition : <51>Frostie, <51>Teknetinium, <51>X-man, <51>Breakshot, <51>Soviet, <51>Camper, <51>Rage, <51>Shaman, =UVAF= MAD_MAX, =UVAF= Peter(striker), =UVAF= GregOzby - (Overbooked with 1 reserve pilot) Blue Coalition : 104th_Maverick, 104th_Mustang, 104th_IronMike, 104th_Spade, 104th_Blaze, 104th_Presing, 104cdt_Highway, 238.lbae=Falcon, Slowhand(striker), 104th_Riptide(striker) - (Overbooked) Orange coalition: TurboRUSH, AegisFX, galevsky06, 373vFS_Greg, 373vFS_TaliG, 373vFS_Spanker, 373vFS_Metatron, 373vFS_CVAH, 373vFS_Crash(striker), DanielNL(striker) - (Overbooked with 1 reserve pilot: 373vFS_Talos) Green coalition: ECV56_Krypto, =71st= RuSh, =71st= Aleman, =71st= Enzel, Pajaron, Aldox, Tunther, Iberian, =71st= FoxOne(striker), =71st= Honos(striker) - (Overbooked with 2 reserve pilots: Skyhell, Goldhawk) Purple coalition: 36STV_Gaanalma, Wodan, 36STV_Wanted(striker), 36STV_Raf(striker), USARStarkey(Shift8, Maddog, Stryker, Gargoyle), WoAyumi, BWLF.Wolf - (Overooked) Thanks to all who signed up for JW2. we have 54 pilots in! Gents, I've got Mav's tape, ran it, generated an ACMI file and I can confirm the following: Falcon did NOT get shot down by a Tor and made it safe at the end of Round 1. Slowhand (A-10C) also did NOT get shot down by a Tor, he got actually hit but managed to survive and went back to land safely. For total transparency, here is the ACMI: http://www.2shared.com/file/HkdSELZw/Tacview-20140710-155407txt.html Note: I ran Mav's tape at twice or max 3 times normal speed only, took a while, but at least, results were more reliable. Our assumption was right in the sense of running a Track file too fast would likely generate some unreliable events. So lesson learned for next event ;) Will amend results asap and thanks guys for reporting those glitches and Mav for the Track file.
-
Thanks for confirming Mav. I know Falcon (flew with/against him since early days of Lock On) and I have no doubt about that. Though, as a 'referee', I will have to stick to the rule that says: if any discrepancy/claim, the track MUST be provided. Mav, I'd appreciate if you can send me your track to: staff@sa-sim.com. Thanks guys. As Mav said, these are very rare cases, most likely due to fast-forwarding the track afterwards. Thankfully, there has always been great fair-play from everyone so it's easy to deal with such rather rare occurrences.

Prize-wise, I will soon start getting in touch with top 3 performers in each category (A2A and A2G), so keep an eye on your PM inbox please :)
