Sorry, cant see how this site helps me to understand why OpenTrack is better than FaceTrackNoIR. FaceTrackNoIR works, as names suggests, without LED's.

What makes it better?

Leatherneck Simulations Mini-Update - SEPTEMBER 2015
KEULE replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
Please only talk for yourself. I agree only insofar as I understand that innovative things need time and surprises are around every corner. And of course this will lead to delays. However, even though there are delays and timetables has to be adjusted nontheless information and details can be given. I am not a friend of not meeting a deadline without saying anything. Why not saying we are working on this and that detail and it simply didnt work out we expected and need more time? Anyway, LN will do it good and Im another patiently waiting customer. -
We need a solution. There is no way to find out who did what. Just imagine, someone gets killed by the opposite team. All he has to do is switching the team, get into a 2-Seater, turn off engine, jettison weapons or whatever, then switching team back and rejoin. And noone will see in the heat of battle that he has been there and what he did. Or just think of upcoming F-14 by LN. You give Jester (the back seat RIO) a command in the middle of the battle and then someone joins that seat. Jester wont do anything and the new one dont know what to do, maybe he just mis-cklicked and wanted another jet and finally joins his desired jet. Jester didnt do anything, you maybe didnt fire a rocket and gets shot down. Not to forget that you wont even get informed that someone joined your jet. You simply dont know if you are alone or not. There has to be a solution for that.

I gave it a try, deinstalled and installed again. And at first it worked in Singleplayer pretty well. But: As soon as I first started Multiplayer Joystick and Throttle arent working anymore. And I found out that when I start Singleplayer again Joystick and Throttle arent working there as well. It somehow feels, that Multiplayer mode in some way corrupts Singleplayer and until I reinstall drivers again Joystick and Throttle wont work with running TARGET profile. Need help!

Configured profiles of my Thrustmaster Warthog works perfectly fine in singleplayer mode (despite unable to get trim keys to work for L39C). However, in multiplayer mode none of my key bindings are working. Not even joystick are throttle movement. As soon as configured profile within the TARGET Software is stopped joystick and throttle reacting as expected and key bindings assigned within DCS are working too. Tested this with L39C and Mig21 with excatly the same results.

DCS: F-14A/A+/B by Heatblur Simulations coming to DCS World!
KEULE replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
Thank you for your understanding of my point of view. However, I feel I have to make something clear. Yes there were 5 major updates this year. Cancelling monthly newsletters while saying at the same time that there will be "more frequent" ones means to me that there are at least one in a months time or more. And 5 newsletter within almost 7 months are not more but less. Thats all I was saying. I believe a major task of good public relations is to keep your customers informed. This also means to let them know whats going on even if there are no major big steps to inform. A newsletter in this case can also have 3 sentences, saying very short what is going on (coding XXX, new templates for XXX) and that there are nothing more to tell. By simply doing so customer base feels closer to the producer. It's like when public transport is delayed. Thats annoying. But if you know why it feels better as it gives you the chance to understand why and to get the reasoning behind that delay. So please don't feel "pissed" because of me. That's wasn't what I intended and I'm sorry if you are. However I should be free to say what I think. And now that I know that the more frequent newsletters are anticipated to start in August (which I didn't know before and therefore thought this will start right after cancelling the monthly newsletters) I can live very well with that and looking forward to what's coming next. -

Right. He wrote and I read this. The keywords are "more" and "frequent". And I can't see any frequency. Despite...one newsletter in a year and this continuing for 10 years creates some kind of frequency too.... :smilewink: -
Mig21 does not even have a single computer! Just some wiring and a few lamps. Thats it. What you may call a computer were as big as many rooms back then. So no, no autopilot for waypoints. In addition autopilot waypoint navigation would need GPS and back in the 50s there were no single satellite in orbit and GPS wasn't even invented.

I doubt you will find a lot of people still flying LOMAC or FC2. It's simply pretty old and with FC3 and all the other awesome modules available there won't be much interest I suppose. I personally don't even fly FC3 any more because I want to flip all the cockpit switches instead of hitting the keyboard all the time. Maybe you should just try one of them and most likely you'll get addicted. :) Let me know and we might fly together.

In my opinion they are not as good as they could be to update the community. They announced monthly newsletter. After three, where the last was very late, they cancelled this. The website didn't get any love since Mig21 is out and an updated site with news about the F14 and for the Mig21 is overdue as well. I'm sure there are good reasons for this. Mig21 is by far my most favourite module. Great job and every day a joy to fly. As of now public relations shows some potential and unfortunately is not of the quality you would expect judging by their product. -

I even have a Head-Up-Display in my BMW. They are very real!

 Shame on me. Too stupid to read. Thanks man!

Hello everyone. I hope someone of you might help me out. I know how to activate and deactivate the SAU for automatic landing. I know how to activate and deactivate the Recovery function. I know how to activate and deactivate the Stabilization mode. But there is one more thing: The control setup also shows Button "J" for "SAU - Hold altitude". However no button moves within the cockpit while click on "J". In fact nothing seems to change and jet still reacts to all stick inputs and doesn't hold altitude. But, if you activate SAU Stabilization mode (LAlt + A) and then hit "J" on the keyboard the flight control stick doesn't move any longer and jet keeps heading and pitch as it was in the moment of hitting "J". Unlike the normal SAU Recovery mode which levels the jet. Of course after deactivation of SAU jet control is back as usual. I know this hold-altitude-funtion from the FC3 jets and found it very useful when flying in formation as it allows to keep altitude but to change heading. - Does the hold altitude function ("J") work at all for the Mig21? - Is there annother way to get it to work? Thank you so much for any help!

MiG-21 Coop Flight: An welchen Tagen paßts euch grundsätzlich?
KEULE replied to Roadrunner's topic in Deutsch

Wäre das was?
