I started the Mirage up, flew through a series of waypoints, dodged enemy fire, put bombs on target, and RTB'd safely. I'm really proud of myself. My girlfriend didn't give me the praise I was looking for. I think it's a pretty big deal. I mean... I laid down some pretty serious AAA I had to get through, and my landing was butter! I'm proud. This plane is INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!!!

Right on, thanks. I was just asking if the radar works as it should now, because I don't know what it 'should' act like. There's been a number of patches lately, and I know the developers are on the case. I just wanted to have someone tell me... "yes, the radar is working as intended... or no it's still a little weird." I just took a flight, locked on to 3 different enemies, and shot them all down. Nothing crashed, I kept the lock the whole time, and the missiles worked really well. I even went to guns, got a lock, and took one down that way! It hasn't been that smooth until this patch! Thanks though!

What are these links telling me? I just updated to the new version of 1.5, everything worked great. All of those refer to issues before the last patch, right? (I don't really fly MP, so I don't know anything about issues there.)

Sorry for starting a new thread but I didn't want to add to others that had folks with specific issues or questions. For a while now there's been some problems with the radar like crashing whilst jammed or losing lock on the second click. I'm aware of the landing gear and airbrake 'problems', but are the radar issues fixed? You see, I'd like to get to learn the aircraft, but I want to know that the radar is working as intended before I do! I wouldn't know if there's a problem or not! Thanks a lot, and to the fine folks at Razbam, I love this plane!

+1 I'd love to have a good JTAC guide. PLUS: Fans of DCS have put out some incredible videos made by people who can really break it down. However, as much as I search, I can't find a good video about straight up dogfighting maneuvers. There's lots of stuff out there, but nobody has made a series that shows what maneuvers you should consider - in different situations - and how to practice them. Like, I know what scissors and immelmans are, but I don't know how or when to do them, what a situation looks like when I should try them, or what they actually look like when their done in combat...!

Hey Guys. When I set my DSR, I'm having an issue. So I set it to 2560x1440, which seems to be a nice sweet spot for me, then I hit alt-enter to get to full screen. Everything looks fine in the menu, but my cursor isn't able to click on the options. After some poking around, I found that it's extremely offset from where it should be. Like if I want to click the settings tab, I need to have the cursor way over to the right of it, then it will let me select the option. Does anyone know what I need to do? Thanks a lot.

gonna bump this up to see if anyone has a clue about my OP. It's such a bummer. That beautiful zoom I had on my X52 is gone, seemingly forever. Any hints would be appreciated.

Hey Guys, For about a year or so, I've been using Iron's x52 Pro setup. It's worked great. Everything acted like it should, I had a nice easy zoom on my Hotas with trackir, I never had to leave the control panel up, etc. Fast forward to present day: I've done two things that could have screwed this up. I installed a new 980ti with all the drivers, and I uninstalled the stable 1.2 version of DCS. When I went to go fly, nothing worked on my HOTAS. Whenever I'd click on the 'clutch' button, everything blinked and it was all wonky. Now, I opened up the control panel and everything went back to normal... kind of. My awesome zoom that Iron does so well is GONE. When I turn the control panel off, it tries to do that smooth zoom again, but everything is too weird. One more hint: When I have the control panel off, every button press I make on the HOTAS shows up on my MFD. Does anyone know what this could be?

I found a great video a while ago on how to set up the HOTAS. I.E. what were the most important functions, etc. Now I can't find it... Can anyone steer me in the right direction? Thanks!

I'm about to get home from work and take the Mirage out, pretty excited! I've heard folks talking about some systems not working yet. Can someone tell me which ones aren't ready so I don't think I'm doing something wrong? Thanks! I didn't want to create a separate thread for this.

I'm glad it worked out so well for you. However, I was asking if anyone was having luck now. Maybe I should reboot and try again? Sometimes that works! That's what I'm asking.

Bunyap on YouTube has got you covered. You really can be good at this with limited time, if you have a couple hours at the end of your day to play... You can watch a Bunyap vid then practice what you learned... You'll be halfway decent in no time. It's awesome because it's difficult. I agree that more and better in-game tutorials would be great, but they only have a certain amount of funds/manpower... I'd rather they spent it on other stuff when there's so many great instructional videos out there.

So exciting! This latest hotfix wasn't the greatest for my setup, but I share your happiness about 1.5. Hotfix 4 will be a tonic I'm sure. It has to rate up there with the top 3 greatest bits of software that a developer has ever given away for free. It's mind boggling, really.

As soon as I start even a single player mission, I get massive ram usage. I go up to nearly 80% every time, and I have 16 of corsair. I never disconnect, but that seems excessive.

how does one roll back to hotfix 2? is that possible?
