Is there going to be over wing vapor in this 1.5 beta update? EDIT: and if its possible does anyone know a way to save control button settings?
-
Nice. Under models it says new F-5E. I'm assuming that's AI?
-
The jaw dropping part might be that they have more than the 2 aircraft to announce. Cobra did say a long time ago that after project "A, B, and C" they have other aircraft in earlier stages of development. Project B and C are supposed to come out before the F14 and knowing LN who knows how much they could have done to the other ones by now.

I would bet it's an F-4 too. Would be awesome. and hopefully a Mig25 (would rather a 31 but that ain't really gonna happen).

Next DCS (Russian) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List
Dappman replied to Milene's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Yes but we don't have an Su-27 that can use the R-77. The Mig can use them, but that's not a Russian counter part to the F-15. The in game Aim-120C-5 was introduced in 2000. We don't have the Su-34. I think you mean Su-33. Don't know what that has to do with this. Were talking cold war era F-15 vs Su-27. What I'm saying is, if the F-15 gets post cold war era missiles, the Su-27 should get something, or it should be all cold war era technology. Is that not fair? -
Next DCS (Russian) Fixed Wing Aircraft Wish List

I agree. But it's also unfair that the current aim120c in game was introduced in the year 2000 (modified version for F22 use). As far as I know, the R-27ER was introduced in 1985. If it was to be balanced (SU27 vs F15) then it should be all pre cold war tech. The F15 would only have the aim-120a version (introduced the same year the cold war ended). Even the earlier version of the C and the B model were introduced after the cold war. The Russians need something. -

No, I didn't. As far as I read it only had better ECM than the PD version (and it was an option in the vote). In that case. Mig 31 please. -

Pre-Purchase M-2000C for DCS World by RAZBAM
Dappman replied to Wags's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Nobodies whining. Were being cautious. RAZBAM has a good reputation in FSX, but that means little in DCS. When you're spending $50-60 on a module (and people here happily will) it does matter if it has AFM or PFM or whatever kind of FM and there is confusion about what flight model it has and when it will get PFM. That's the big one. If everything goes well and after a reasonable amount of time after release they make the PFM, people won't ask questions the next time RAZBAM makes a module. They will preorder. I personally am not happy with what I get. If I was I wouldn't be here, I would be playing FSX. I want DCS level aircraft and I'll pay for it. Simple. -
Wow that looks great. That's the first video of any RAZBAM product I've seen. Can't believe I missed this. The video was posted in May. Wish them good luck in the future.

That's the first time I've ever heard that. I seriously doubt that if Russia knew 100% that it was full of civilians and off course they would have shot it down. In fact, they wouldn't. I don't know what that has to do with the Mig25 and SR71 though.
-
But it does have a lot more drag. Less than drop tanks but it's still gonna be a noticeable amount. Even with the extra fuel the E models range is down by around 1/3. That's almost all because of the drag (what I've read from multiple sources) I don't think those numbers are official, just estimates. I still have a hard time believing it will do 3,000 km/h. Unless they have actually taken it to 3,000 km/h and its not just an estimate I'll believe it.
-
Are you sure about that? The F-15E carries a lot more fuel and has a lot more drag than the F-15C. It would have to have a lot more powerful engines than the F-15C to do that.
-
Post a track if you can. If not: Did you start from cold and dark? Does it happen when you're turning? How long into the flight does it happen? Do you instantly fall from the sky or kinda float down? Can you tell if the engines fail or if you lost rotors? You can fly faster than 260 without blade collision.

[DCS World: BS2] Ricardo's Upgraded HD Cockpit Mods
Dappman replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I'm really paranoid about doing this (computers don't like me). I copy the "Mods" folder right into DCS World? It's asking me if I want to merge is that right? -
This is why we need some kind of online ranking system. It doesn't mean much when you take down an F15 in the Mig21 if the guy doesn't even know how to us radar. I've taken down F15's head on with radar guided missiles in the mig. Nothing special on my part I just flew straight at them yolo locked the whole time expecting to get shot down and instead got a kill.

The Mig 29 hasn't really changed since 2003, it's pretty much arcade. Su33 isn't in much better state. Su27 and F15 are both FC3 level and along with an American f14 and F/a 18C high fidelity aircraft coming out soon, it's kinda even. I'm not saying I wouldn't love an F16, I would. The Phantom too.

I never even considered that. That makes me wonder. Are we sure one of the new aircraft isn't a helicopter? -
Leatherneck Simulations Mini-Update - SEPTEMBER 2015
Dappman replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
True. But we also know that they will be released with the 3 respective aircraft, and that's not very far away. We also know that Leatherneck doesn't make junk. I have full faith in them. Their Mig 21 is technically a beta. Doesn't feel like it at all. -
Leatherneck Simulations Mini-Update - SEPTEMBER 2015
Dappman replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
I know. I know hard it is. But when you compare it to Leatherneck, who's getting 3 super high fidelity advanced flight model aircraft and 3 entire theaters out in a fraction of the time. Not to mention the Mig21. -
Leatherneck Simulations Mini-Update - SEPTEMBER 2015
Dappman replied to Cobra847's topic in Heatblur Simulations
That really sounds like an impressive amount of work that's been done. Especially considering Leatherneck's quality. I mean really? 3 new theaters and 3 aircraft along with all the things that go with that and developing new things along the way. In such a short amount of time? ...ED can't even get one map out in 5 years. I don't mean to say it like that but... you know. I love ED. -
Ok. I made a thread in the bugs section.
