  1. Nope. I work with what is sent to me. I've got/made JIGs to make my life a little easier throughout the proscess of making a Franken-Potato. But, it's still all hand crafted.
  2. Pretty simple really. One could either PM me here, SimHQ, or the CH-Hangar requesting one, or e mail me at 531ghost (at) gmail.com How's this work? Well: A ProThrottle is sent to me. Your current one or, one you have ordered and sent to me. A money order/check in the amount of $225.00 + shipping (in the US typically $15.00) to cover parts, labor and shipping. Once the above requirements have been met I manufacture the Franken-Potato on a first come first served basis. Edit: for the next version of Control Manager, those of you with a Franken-Potato, may be in for a surprise/treat ;) So, who's next? :smilewink:
  3. Real Stories of Simulation Development
  4. Sooooo, I'm thinking let's get orders in for 12,000? ;)
  5. Up front ROI I would think around 1000 per month for the first year to replace the ProThrottle with one of these: MAY get the ball rolling...
  6. Although not a Saitek X52 same applies (for the most part) as the article I did for SimHQ: http://simhq.net/downloads/technology/HOTAS.zip
  7. -can i use it with x-52 throttle? As long as the sim supports multiple controllers, yes -can i use it without rudder pedals effectively? It's not a twist grip. But, if you can assign an axis on the throttle, you should be good to go. -can i program it easily? Yes. Anything is possible in Control Manager.
  8. That, is something I have no idea of nor can, or will comment on. I can only hope not.
  9. I'm thinking, probably not. Quality may be an issue. :smilewink:
  10. Yes, Debby has seen/held what you see in that picture. :smilewink: You have no idea how many years not only I, but some that used to be in the industry have tried to get CH Products to make a split throttle like that. Unfortunatly, the ROI and market, still isn't there.
  11. The Eclipse was released / previewed during E For All, not E3. Although I've been to both. E For All twice and E3 once.
  12. How? Well, you take a Suncom split throttle and the "guts" from a ProThrottle and, TA DA! There you go.
  13. They did? The last flight anything released by them was at E For All in LA (I was there). It was the Eclipse Yoke.
  14. The (guts) as in PCB...? Sure, it's possible I suppose.
  15. Holy crap! Did that come out wrong! No, Bob is still supporting and working with CH Products. His/CH Products Control Manager, is the glue that holds it all together. The hardware as you point out, getting long in the tooth. I need a cup o' Joe...
  16. Sorry, let me clarify, it means, for now, your comment IMO is pretty accurate. Without Control Manager and it's capabilities to program CH Products, fading into obscurity although a long way off IMO, is not out of the relm of possibility. We can however, hope, they do enter something new in the retail world.
  17. Yes, it is real. I've laid my hands on it at the factory. Due to considerable restraints (Federal Government) that HOTAS is not available to the public. It sells for about 10k.
