Is it possible to replay a track with external views if track is saved with no externals? Me and my friend was dogfighting last night and I set no external view due to realism. I saved the track but canґt naturally see the fight from F3, F2 or F5 view. Is it possible to overide it?

Myself and a friend was dogfighting last night, where I was the server and him the client. We where only two planes, and I set the planes over a city at 2000 feet altitude. When I was approcing him from his six oґclock and we had guns only mode. When I was ready to shoot, the lag was huge and I was almost not able to aim. I had 10-15 fps when I flew behind him. When I play offline I often get a average fps at around 30. When I played last night, I was down to 10-15 when close to him and around 25-30 when I was 1-2 nm behind. I also think Skype took some bandwith and CPU load but I think the lag is because I was the server and it was too much? I also checked how much cpu skype took and it was almost 20-25%! I have also used teamspeak and teamspeak also uses a lot of CPU. This is kinda sad as I want to play more online dogfighting with my friends than playing against AI. None of us have a dedicated server, and I have no money at this time buying a better comp. (My wife would kill me...) My rig: P4 3.0 GHZ (400 MHz BUS), 2 GB RAM, Geforce 7600 GT 256 MB RAM. I have medium on both scenery and texture, off on heatblur, low on everything else except water is on medium.

Great work!! :thumbup: But, I have one question: Will this addon make any fps difference? Do you need to set scenes or texture on high or something to make it work?

Bet itґs a Canon or Nikon with a 600 mm with antishake. I got myself a Canon S3IS, but I am limited to 430 mm, but I have antishake (optical). Anywhy, my cam cost about 3000 NOK and his A LOT more, but pictures speaks for them self, so I think itґs worth it! Great pictures! :thumbup:

That´s solve one thing (but I can´t understand why I have to do this manually and not in option) but how do I turn of external views, enemy from map etc, etc. I can see all are on "on", but I can´t change it! It says cistom difficulty, but the only thinh I can change is G-effects. Really annoying. This prevents me from actually enjoying campain. Bet I will play the Falcon 4.0 AF campain instead and rather sue Lock On on hyperlobby or singlemissions...Also a nice videointro would have been nice, setting the player in mode...instead I got this dull briefing screen...I love the game, but the campainpart of it does not apply much to me. Hope ED will fix this with KA-50 addon.

I have tried to play A-10 campain, but whatever I try, there is no chance to turn of labels! I can set g-effect, but when I try to click the labels button off, nothing happens! If I try to go to options when I start the game, it works fine, but it seems that campain mode locks thes options! Why? I have FC with 1.12b. Robert.

I would really like ED to make the feel of speed more realistic in further games. I know Lock On FC is closest to speed than other sims, but I feel I miss some speed when I fly around the mountains and flying low. I sometimes look at my speedindicator and see I fly in 800 knots, flying low, and thinks: It MUST feel fast if I had been flying at this speed for real! Turning up the acceleration speed is not an option ether, so I hope ED will look at this. Don´t know if the rest of you agree with me, but hey, it just my opinion! :)

I have printed out the whole manual, but still does not fully understand how to use the radar in Lock On FC. I press "I" for radar but does not see any enemy planes in it! I see something moves from "side to side" but the radar does not detect the enemy. Sometimes I feel itґs hard to see the enemy in a dogfight if heґs at long range etc. I have also tried to press "2" to engage the beyond visual range, but I see a small rectangle and and a pyramid shape comes up on the radar. I have trouble understanding the manual and I regret playing online as I feel kinda "noob"...I woundnґt destroy anything playing online as I donґt know how do differ friendly from enemies. Is there someone here that would have been kind to me that could show me some tricks or to on ie. teamspeak? F.ex how to use the radar, while the "teacher" flies an enemy plane and how I can see him on radar etc. Or is there any trainingvideos on the net? I have found some, but none of them shows how to use radar and such. I would love to play online, but I feel I will just angry most of you not even know the radar... I feel I master the flying part, but I need to understand more to fly online. EDIT: I mostly fly the SU-27 Flanker.

This is a video of norwegians playing BF2 and making a stuntmovie. I know this has not so much to do with Lock On, and the aviation of copters and planes in BF2 is NOT to be compared with Lock On, butthis "stunts" is really enjoyable to see. It demands huge skills to do it even on BF2. Of course BF2 is not a game of realism, it´s more like an arcadegame. The first reason I wanted you to see this video, was because of the editing. The video has very nice editing, nice music, good camerafollowing. I got alot of ideas I could use in my own videos. Download it and take a look. Ok, so the solution is to add two identical planes ie. SU-27 and set both on "client"? Then I have to save the mission, go to network, and start the game with this mission? Do I need to set up a game through Hyperlobby, or can I just set it up in Lock on via Network play? (My pal needs to connect to my ip right?)

Hi! I have trouble making a mission for me and my friend. Here is what I want: Me and my friend is going to fly some acrobatics with ether SU-27 or F-15C. I know how to set a F-15C to take off from runway, setting player etc, but when I choose the second plane, and select take off from runway, it disappear when I set client!? How do I set the two planes from the same nation to take off from the same runway? Someone that can explain this to me in steps? Or make a mission I can look at? Ie: Two SU-27, parked at runway, green/red smoke?

I am 28 and my wife tells I have to use money on furniture, outdoor furniture, things to the house etc...she grins everytime I buy something new for my computer. Here´s mine. Still using my old Sidewinder Pro stick which connects through audiocard(!). Old, but good! I got Track IR Pro 4.0 and next step is X52. Has X52 force feedback btw? I also wonder to buy rudderpedals but my wife does not agree with me all of this...hehe EDIT: Attached images failed, here it is!

Nothing special in this video. Just me flying around and recording it, showing it to you so I can make better videos/flying. Still learning though. I have actually printed out the whole manual. I had to buy two catrigdes of black ink to get all the pages out! :) Hehe..I surely will wait to buy Falcon 4.0 AF...over 700 pages there...Anyone who would recommend it? As far from screenshots, I belive Lock On has more eye candy? I've hear the simulation of F-16 is good. I like to touch all those buttons. :)

Just wanted to know if you fly with full g-effect or reduced. And what happens if the server has realistic g-effect and I have reduced? I find the full g-effect to be, yep, to often going black. You can´t do much before the pilot sees black. I know this is suppose to be realistic, but I find the screen to go black all the time. There should have been something in between! So, I am just curious, full or reduced g-effect?

I got myself Track IR Pro 4 today and really enjoys it. It takes some time to get used to, but I think after some hours I never wanna go back to the hatswitch again! My only "problem" is that when I start flying, I see the cockpit pretty close. I am used to zoom in and out with x key and the other key to the left. (dividekey on my norwegian keyboard). These buttons does not work anymore, but I can move my head back and forth. I can of course move my head back to see the whole cockpit, but then I have to move away from my joystick! I want the standard view to be longer back. Sorry if I am to bad explaining this but, is there anyway to center view and the viewpoint more back? I saw some options on Track IR screen but didn't understand much. And why is my zoombuttons out? I want them even if I can move my head. Itґs also a bit strange to look at the keyboard to see where you have the "3" key, and where is that radarbutton again and you suddenly is looking to the left out of the cockpit! Guess it takes time to get used to this!

Frazer: I know the sound! I have a mixture of both yours and Archers soundpack. Did this by a mistake. I had yours soundspack installed manually, then I got my hands of modman and installed archers soundpack via modman. I think it all got messed up as some sounds I don´t hear anymore (like the hilarious eject sound) but I got Archers sound for eject, and your g-effectbreathing. I quess I have to uninstall the game, and install it again, and then install what pack I like via modman. The way it is now is fine, but I really like the eject sound. Maybe I just need to delete archers sound of eject to got your back? I think some files are in *.ogg ann some in *.wav. I don´t know why Lock On chooses some sound over another as many has the same name but different filetype?

I have this very old quality joystick from Microsoft.Itґs an Sidewinder Pro Force feedback I think. It connects through my gamecard that has an joystick input. No fancy USB here! I have seen that you can buy rudderpedals as I think you will get alot more controll with pedals than through using the rudderfunction at the stick. You canґt use rudder on a stick with 100% controll. You will always move the stick a little the same time you are using rudder on the stick. So for my question. Does Lock On supports rudderpedals connected to USB and Sidewinder at the same time via gamecard? Is there a better stick for me than the Sidewinder that doesnґt cost a fortune? I have looked at Saitek Cyborg 3D Stick EVO but I think my old Sidewinder stick is still pretty good despite its age! Also, do you fance ruddercontrols with buttons instead of using the stick? Some tips there?
