I did not understand what you where meaning, could you describe it a little more, mabe with video or pictures? You have ruddercontroll in Lock On, but toebreak? What is that? Maybe I sound like a noob but I didn´t fully understand what you meant! :) :helpsmilie:

Hehe...I think I meant km/t. Not sure what the russians use, is it knots? Is the F-15C speed in mps or km/t? Actually, I was flying in 250 ca. (bottom line S:250). Think I "bumped" the runway to hard...I bet I have something more to learn. I have printed the whole manual but it takes time to read and understand everything. Itґs that what I love with this game! So much to learn and master! :) I also donґt fully understand how you guys can see what aircraft that is in front of you 10-20 nm away. How do you see enemy from friendly aircraft? Visually or by radar?

I will try to edit the video once more or maybe take a trip again over the city and land without destroying my gear. I need to make larger entrance to the runway. Came in way to fast. Airbrake didnґt help so much ether as I was 700 mph or something when I approched the runway! :) hehe

Hi folks! I bought Lock On a year ago and sold it, but suddenly wanted it again. Bought myselft FC and I am inside the Lock On universe again! :) :pilotfly: Anywhy, this is not my first video (as you can see on Youtube), but my first attempt with added music and small editing. I played around with new cameraangles I learnt how to use in this forum so much appreciate all tips! I love to watch tutorials and such. The CTRL + F11 takes some time to get use to, I have to use the scroolwheel on my mouse to follow the plane. I also wonder how I can get mousepanning a bit smoother? It gets a little "hard" when looking around with mouse. (Canґt find the right word sorry..hehe). I ordered track IR 4 PRO today and just can´t wait till it arrives! Its really a pain in the ass to use the joystick hatswitch as it feels so digital (which it is!). I just was wondering, does track IR connects to the PC with USB? I use my old Sidewinder Pro stick connected to my audiocard (not USB). Will this interference with Track IR? Do I have to activate track IR in LOMAC? Can´t seem to remember any place in the options menu that has something to do with track IR? Suppose Track IR is plug & play. I use Win XP PRO so I hope for no problems! :) Oh, and BTW, can I fly the Black Shark with my stick when it comes out, or do I need a new stick and extra rudderpedals to controll the heli?

I tried the F-15 mission when you have to escort some bombers, and the mission starts over a big cloud field. I got like 10-12 fps at most...Strange, cause I got 40-60 all other places! Maybe 30 around cities but why is the sky so hard to render? The clouds look the same, why is the clouds so fps hungry? I got a new card too, ASUS 7600 GS but that isn´t helping...Have P4 3.0 GHZ 1 GB RAM, 400 MHZ FSB. Is there any possiblity to turn off clouds while flying the campaing? I can do it in mission but haven´t tried to turn off in campaing. Is there any fps tweaks regarding the clouds? Most by bad programmed. All this clouds look the same, why does it needs so much rendering?

What controls in BS? I am using Microsoft Sidewinder Pro (old stuff) with LOMAC and that works just fine. Homever, will there be need for extra sticks to play BS? Can you fly the heli with just and joystick? It takes more skill to fly a heli than a plane? How difficult will the flying be in comparison too FC? Robert.

I have grebs explosion fix and I have tried many others, but everytime I hit a plane with a missile the fps freeze for 1/30th second and drops to 10-12 and goes up to normally fps again after the explosion is over. Why is the explosion so fps hungry? I have over 50 fps in standard flying. I have XFX 6600 GT, 1GB RAM, P4 3.0 GHZ. Am I lacking RAM? I have also tried to set everything on low setting, even effects. No good.

Hi folk! I have big trouble editing in clouds and sky in FC. I go to mission editor, and I see base and thickness. I want to creat thick sky/clouds I can fly above or use in a MP session with my friend someday. I have seen many screenshots where you have clouds you fly over. I do get clouds, but just some here and there! I want to made a "carpet" of clouds if you understand what I mean! :)

Hmmm...if I am going to train dogfighting, I bet it will be with a fried then. Too bad ED didnґt implent g-effects with the AI. I have seen the AI doing som incredible manuvers that would surely made me black out....argh....hate that...stupid AI...

I know it was a stupid question, but I had to ask since I got groundtargeting mode while pressing the "7" key. Didn´t know SU-27 couldn´t lock into ground targets. As for reading the manual I am going to print the whole damn thing tonight as soon as I am finishing work. My wife does not understand my passion for this game, but I suppose all women out there who does not get all that attention because of flightsim acts the same! :smilewink: hehe... I also must admit that flying the SU-27 flanker is my favorite plane. BTW: Just wondering, if you chose realistic mode like I do, with no easy radar, g-effects on, etc etc. If I play online, is the ther server overiding users settings? Ie, try to select easy mode, will the server overide this if the server has set "veteran" mode for instance? I also mentioned that "blacking of screen" appears more often as more acrobatic modes you do. The pilot stands some, but if you roll A LOT, it starts going black after the 20 th roll or something. And does the black out occurs for AI too? Can the ai see you throug the sky if you are above clouds? Lots of questions folks, I bet all this is in the manual. :thumbup: :joystick:

Damn, hehe..I see it clearly now...spelling is sort of no good. Typed some wrong letters...was in a hurry when I wrote it! Sorry, but I think you understood what I was talking about. I figureded out that the SU-27 was an air to air killer, and not useful for groundattacks. I just wanted to be sure. I can always use the gun on my flanker!

Hi, I have trouble locking on to ground units with the flanker. (SU-27). I have selected bombs and rockets and presse "7" scannig mode, but when I try to lock the target it woundn´t. I have no trouble locking into airtarget, but groundtarget is no go. What am I doing wrong? I can visually see the target, IE a vulcan, but it can´t lock it. What bomb to select in payload and how to lock?

I have dowloaded FEB 1607 HOT summerpack, but the readme contains no install data. I don´t know which directory to install to? Anyone has this pack? FPS demanding? Got it from lockonfiles.com.

I downloaded some new clouds that where more fun to fly through. Unfortunately this gives me some fps drop. The clouds really look good. Donwloaded from Lock on files. Homever I forgot to make an backup first. Anyone that have the original clouds folder in the "Bazar" directory?

Is there a guide for flight manuveurs? I have tried google, but no luck(!). I now the hammer, immelmann, loop, roll etc, but I want to learn much more! Also, how do you do the manuveur they do in the movie "Stealth". The pilot rolls over to the other side of the buddy he fly in formation with. I have asken a friend of mine who knows alot of planes etc, and he says this has been done IRL. I thought this was a movietrick? I have tried and tried to perform it, but with no luck...any books out there describing manuvers? Is there a videoguide done with Lock On on this?

I have now learned how to play online with LOMAC. I now how to start a game via Hyperlobby, but I see I need to select a mission to start. No missions in Lockon is made for acrobatics. What me and my friend wants, is to take off from the same runway. We will both fly F-15C with wingtipsmoke, and train for som acrobatic fun and flying formations. How do we do that? I have now made any mission yet, does there excist a such mission I am talking about? I tried to set up one, but I just messes around the editor now doing it right...

I actually have one waiting for me at the post office. Just waiting for my paycheck! Itґs an 7600 GS 512 MB RAM. I have 6600 GT 128 MB RAM now. Of topic: Tried to fly some formation today, but thatґs hard! How do I set up a AI plane to fly in a straigt line and then I can fly around him, over, and under and everywhere?

When I hit AVI record after doing a track, Lock On crash to desktop. I have read that this may occur due to the codecs. Here is a list of my codecs. Which to remove, and which to save? I use fraps, but fraps is taking so much fps while recording....

I got it to work! Had to start ZoneLabs and allow Lock On after the patch! Forgot that! Now itґs working, and all I have to do know, is to understand what I am suppose to do in the missons online!
