Oxygen does not replenish after rearm/refuel
zerO_crash replied to zerO_crash's topic in Bugs and Problems
That I noticed too, I set it to normal position before drawing oxygen. Hope Belsimtek can get it fixed soon. -
It seems that the oxygen won`t get replenished upon rearming/refueling on 2.1. Haven`t tried it yet with the newest 1.5 update, but possible the problem persists there too.

Poblem with Maverick MFD grond units visibility
zerO_crash replied to hreich's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Uhm, why do you compare a maverick A (RB75) to an D/H/G etc...? The A has a very basic TV sensor and is the first version. Doesn`t have any cooling time as compare to the ones used by A10C for example (cooling limit means that the seeker is more sensitive too as opposed to non cooled). The performance of the missiles is very different and shouldn`t be compared. But for the A10C and Viggen as it stands, the ranges are reliable. Nothing wrong there. -
Look at the trim indicator next to throttle and see if it`s moving. If not, assign different controls to it, then try again. If that still doesn`t work for whatever reason, you could always just use the virtual trim button. Not ideal considering where it`s placed in the FW190 (assuming you like using pilot body like me), but works.

On the topic of Iranian Tomcats & Russian Weapons
zerO_crash replied to Cobra847's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I can only support this 100%. Perfect way to make a distinction between realistic and semi-realistic/fantasy loadout. As a purist, I wouldn´t want to see and R-27 or some other missile on a tomcat, unless evidence :) -
This has bothered me some time now, but going by the manual, the oil temperature should stay within 70-85 deg C on normal flight. When flying, it`s almost surreal how easy it is to reach that limit and go past it. Seems like going MW50 for a short power gain makes the temperature shoot up to 110-115 deg C. That while water coolant is remaining below 100 deg C. Does the oil really have that much worse cooler than coolant? Also, in the manual it states that oil can be held at 95 deg C briefly, but having tested it some time ago, retried recently, one can fly with 110-120 deg C for a long time. Haven´t blown an engine on this, ever. After returning to base, and seeing if ground crew will repair the engine, they won´t. So are the values in the manual bogus, or does this need a correction? If it needs a correction, then I refer again to my question above, why would oil be cooled so much worse than coolant?

Another engine keeps blowing thread
zerO_crash replied to Strong05's topic in DCS: Bf 109 K-4 Kurfürst
Open radiators on startup? Make a video of your typical takeoff then, hard to guess what you are doing. Could be a lot. -

Have a look at page 123 in the manual, there are a couple of things you gotta check. -

Do you pre-warm the engine? If not, there is your problem. -
Indeed, superb update.

On Su33 the canards help with increasing lift surface size. Additionally, they help with stability and higher authority at slower speeds in the pitch plane. Keep in mind that some Su27`s have canards as well, but those are for various other reasons, not the same as Su33 necessarily. If you want to grasp more about Su27 and it`s family of 30, 33, 35 and 37, with all sub-variants, I suggest watching this documentary: Long, but worth it.

It was like that before, until recently. But yeah, thanks for confirming you get the problem too.

Seems like there is a problem where the radar cooling liquid doesn`t replenish upon rearming/refueling. Also, with this problem, I notice that the red light above radar on/standby/off - switch doesn`t light up when the fluid is depleted. Only the red bar inside radar display lights up. Might mention that I flew with the radar on standby the whole time, didn't use it actively. Maybe this helps to identify the bug.

So how is pilot body coming along? Any progress?
-
Nope, ground is mixed with small patches of snow and mainly dirt. Doesn`t look much like winter at all. That`s how it`s always been, but in 1.5 (first version) they had superb winter textures that got removed due to hud visibility problems (hud blend into white ground). Hope they can get it fixed and bring those back. Was a fantastic scene.

Yes QFE is set right, but that doesn`t really matter. A maverick is doing a visual lock, it has nothing to do with QFE per se. It`s a glitched locking sequence I suppose.
-
Seems like locking on with RB75 and RB75T will make the lock cross-centre appear just beside the target, whilst the rocket actually hits the target dead on. Happens sometimes, not always. Hope you guys can get the locking mechanism fixed.

Whichever skins you decide to make, it would be neat if you could make a mix of versions of those liveries where some are factory new, whereas others bearing marks of wear and tear. Pretty much like the greek M2000C skin you got.
-
Asked about this once before, but never got a clear answer. Will we get back the winter ground textures from 1.5 release (first version)? I know why it was removed (was no problem for me anyways), but will it come back? As it stands right now there is no proper winter simulation on any of the maps, including Normandy. ED, wags, anyone associated? Please, with sugar on top :P

Possible bug with performing nav fix with radar
zerO_crash replied to zerO_crash's topic in Bugs and Problems
Well I did take care of all these things, but it seems to be fixed with the new update. So yeah, now it works ;) -
Question above +1, do we have a moving map? If yes, is the system capable of linking up with A10C`s and provide a common link for target sharing and distribution?
-
Wait till new update rolls out.

Much thx, will check :)

Possible bug with performing nav fix with radar
zerO_crash replied to zerO_crash's topic in Bugs and Problems
Well thx, I will test some more, but I find it simply weird with the drift. At this point I just cannot get any precision with the BK90´s... EDIT: Seems to be working with newest update. Not sure what it was, but now it`s pretty good.
