  1. All key commands should be in lowercase, IE : r instead of R
  2. As promised, I did some tests. It looks like all the combinations I tried worked. I did not try tmharing's default configurations. Here is a short sample clip demonstrating my tests: http://screencast.com/t/2dOAwntlhpl Also, here is a new 1.6 EXE for HawgTouch, please test it and report how it works so I can release to general public :) HT 1.6 TEST Download In addition, to make sure your keystrokes are sent, run HawgTouch as Administrator, it will also help if you load your profile AFTER you loaded up DCS and then immediately go back to DCS. That will make sure your keystrokes are sent to the right process (Last window)
  3. Make a rotary switch using HawgTouch RotarySwitch control and bind it to the switch in-game. It should work as long as you got the graphics for it :)
  4. Seems like RSHIFT is not functional anymore. I'll take a deeper look into that during the next few days. More likely toward the weekend. I'll also have to fix the Data Export feature to fit with DCS World so there seems to be alot of stuff that needs to be done. I'll work on a very quick fixed 1.6 version to resolve all these issues and make sure HT continues to function properly with the new additions :) Stay tuned.
  5. I checked HT last night in DCS World and all my bindings worked. What exactly isn't working dooom?
  6. Do not use the data export feature from within HawgTouch, just use the Export.lua I provided in the post earlier and replace it with your current one (Make sure to back the old one up!)
  7. HawgTouch Gauge Pack Source Code (Microsoft Visual Studio 2010 Solution) Enjoy :)
  8. Here is HawgTouch latest Export.lua file. Replace with current one to get data export to work :) Export.lua
  9. I'm alive and well, just busy with a bunch of other things as usual. Last time I checked HawgTouch with DCS World 1.2 it worked perfectly. Only thing that isn't working properly is the Export function from within the software but it's easily walk-aroundable :)
  10. If you have Microsoft Expression tools I'm more than willing to share the resources of the Gauge Pack so you could have all sorts of gauges of your own.
  11. Hey guys, Sorry for being AWOL for that long. I'm now back in business! Glad to see you guys continue to work it up, are there any outstanding issues that need to be addressed? - Tommy, your profile for Su25T looks amazing! - thinkr, thanks for pointing out about LOCAL MODE. I'll update the main thread accordingly!
  12. Sorry fellas, been extremely busy in recent days. I will be looking into it ASAP and probably with an answer by Friday... Sorry for the wait :)
  13. I'm watching this over and over again and I cringe every time I see that P-51 turns on a dime like this. It's simply not possible. Richard's description doesn't let you build up an image in your head enough to say if the CGI reflects the maneuver 100%. I called him out because I'm definitely sure that he saw the episode before it was aired and he has given it a "Go" from his side. At least I'd like to believe that because it's called The "History" channel. History is never subjective. There's only one truth. If by any chance I'm mistaken, I take my accusations back. My intentions were not to stir any flames or show any disrespect to anyone.
  14. Read my previous post...I might be naive about making TV shows but documentaries don't have the aspect of "Bad TV" or "Good TV". They have to reflect reality as it happened. That's the difference between a documentary and a blockbuster.
  15. Before they aired the show I believe they would show him how they recreated the scene to make sure the details are correct. They would need to take his input and correct it. There is no way they just get an interview and create a 3minute CGI based on his verbal description without having him say "Yep, that's how it was!" On another episode, the "Desert Aces" telling the tales of Israeli mirage fighters in the Six Days war, they interviewed the former Israeli Air Force commander which blatantly lied in his interview to the show saying that because on the previous fighting day his commander "stole" a kill from him by telling him to hold fire, He sent both his flight lead and 2nd in command to a completely different bearing just so he could get both kills. That was proven to be a lie and what really happened is that the flight lead had low fuel and RTB'ed while his wingman stayed behind Ben David for the entire time they shot the Migs down...Of course both of the Mig's got shot down but that didn't stop them from telling a more heroic sounding story to the editors of Dogfights. There are many more inconsistencies like that during the show that it's just a shame they took such a great topic to make a show of but fill the "boring" gaps with "exciting" to almost impossible stories just to glorify the case. I said it before and say it again, I have full respect to all the pilots who participated in the show and those who fought wars. They don't need to "tweak" their stories to be more Hollywoodish to make them more of a heroes than they already are.
  16. I don't think they would of aired the episode if Candaleria didn't approve of the recreation of the maneuver in the video to begin with. And this is where the problem starts for me. I did not say Candaleria is not a war hero. I have full respect for him. I have respect for anyone who went out and served their countries. And this is exactly my point. He didn't need to "make up" that insane move just to glorify his status as a WW2 pilot. He's done more than enough by just climbing the cockpit and setting out to fight. I believe anything he says, except that insane maneuver he pulled. It's simply not possible. And I really think the HC Dogfights staff told him to glorify the story to make the show sell better. It's American after all. We live in a free world. I also served my country and still do. I can express my opinions the way I see fit. Just my 2 cents.
  17. Physically speaking the P51 or any warplane from that era CANNOT DO THIS MANEUVER. I don't need to fly a P-51 in the real life to know it. The physics in our world didn't change the slightest since that war. I don't need solid proof to call him out. It's been 70 years since he was there. Stories tend to add up "star dust" the more time goes by. I don't deny Candaleria's war stories. I'm sure he shot that hotshot Me109. But not in a way he described it. But yea, climbing on someone's tail normally just doesn't give you more rating. Besides, the series he was presenting it on (History Channel Dogfights) has so much made up shit in it it's painful to watch if you have the slightest understanding of how aircraft are flown. There is no doubt Candaleria made that "maneuver" up.
  18. It's more like Candaleria thought he was flying an Tie Fighter...
  19. This maneuver CAN NOT BE DONE by any plane from the WW2 era. Period. What worries me more is that Candaleria, who is a real WW2 pilot, sits in front of the camera and lies about his war stories. As if he has to glorify them to make him look better.
  20. Don't forget to share the profile when it's done! And regarding rotaries..are the current state switches not enough? What type of rotaries were you thinking about?
  21. You are correct. The clickable overlays will work without a problem!
  22. Hey Tommy, It's funny, I've just bought P-51D yesterday and was thinking of extending HawgTouch to support all DCS World products. To make it compatible with DCS World, minor changes are required. I'm also thinking of creating the gauges for P-51D. I'm still waiting on FC3 to come out so I can support this aswell. Hopefully we'll have all of them supported eventually :)
  23. Just bought P-51D, couldn't resist. Flew a couple of mins in this beast and it feels so damn powerful. I can see hours of good fun ahead! I had to leave, so then I ejected out of the plane and to my surprise thoes bailout animations are just amazing. I had to create this thread to say good job on that! As an avid IL-2 player, I know that the community over there have been longing for such a minor thing for so long and never got it...and ED delivers on first try. Hats off gents. And keep rockin' on!
  24. Thanks for the kind words. I might release a patch that addresses those little issues, along with some more fixes and small additions that will give you guys more options to customize HawgTouch layout. If there's ANYTHING special you want included, post it here and I'll see how difficult it will be to incorporate. I will release a 1.5 patch with those features within the next 2 weeks!
  25. I'm still here :) HawgTouch isn't dead. It's at a very stable place now. I was contemplating lately about the possibilities of extending HawgTouch to FC2/3 and also BS2 along with an updated gauge pack. The amount of worked involved would be IMMENSE, having to move out by the end of the month and so many more obligations at work it looks like this project will be going slowly and slowly with updates coming in every week or so. I have version 1.6 ready but I cannot release it as I feel it will complicate alot of things for current users. Also it seems a bit buggy so I'll just hold up on that version until something more stable comes out. By the way, if ANYONE here is capable of continuing to devote to the HawgTouch project, I will release the FULL source code including the Gauge Pack source/materials for ANYONE who wishes to put more work into it. HawgTouch is written in C# (.NET 4.0) and uses WPF Presentation Core for gauges.
