HawgTouch - Free Panels & Gauges for A-10C
ClearDark replied to ClearDark's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I have been trying for a long time now to get someone with the Steam version to help me make it compatible. I had a conversation with one of the members here and but at the end my messages were never replied and I couldn't figure it out since I don't have the Steam release. Again, if anyone with Steam is willing to help me tackle this issue, I can even release a quick hotfix to solve this for 1.5... -

HawgTouch - Free Panels & Gauges for A-10C

It does. It sends mouse clicks on the panels which are translated into your binded macro keys. In this video you can see HawgTouch running on 3 computers. The master where A-10 runs, running in Server mode. 2nd PC, on remote desktop, running HawgTouch in REMOTE mode. 3rd PC, my work laptop, running HawgTouch in REMOTE mode. Hitting keys from both "REMOTE" computers will not only send the data back to the sim and process it, but the result will also be posted to ALL clients which will update accordingly. Vid: Instructions on setup can be found on the main thread here :) -

Still here, still alive, n still working on 1.6 :) I have no clue how to deal with those spammers :( I'll probably install a better CAPTCHA when I get a chance and clean it up. -

HawgTouch can run without export as well with the same limitations as Helios. However, you can run HawgTouch in client/server mode with indefinite amount of clients support :) -

Hey guys, I'm still alive, had issues with the download server which will be updated today and resume operations. Project is not dead, 1.6 is still under development but I'm taking the time due to all the RL things that popped out of nowhere :) After 1.6 release I will be also releasing the source code for both HT and the gaugepack. So stay tuned and I promise you more updates as I get them :) -

Hey Tommy, Could you send me the profile? I'll investigate this issue to the bottom. shu77 - As Flim said, it is not currently possible but ED team might allow it in the future :) -

Vector drawn gauges means the graphic itself was hand drawn and saved as vector. This allows scaling of the gauges to any size while retaining its full detail. The gauges were drawn using Microsoft Expression Design 4. Things are quiet good, development on HawgTouch is slowed down significantly due some recent real life events which have prevented me from continuing the project at full steam as I did before. But be assured that HT 1.6 is on the works, and will contain all the promised features mentioned in these forums, a new input system, switches synchronization with the sim, the remaining missing gauges (oxygen gauges) and a modified gauge pack with all gauges updated and refined. -

Thanks Druid_ The Vne data is not exported by DCS-A10C at all (or I was just unable to find it), hence why that particular needle stays static. I could derive the value from altitude and current speed if I had the exact formula. I'll try to guesstimate it as best as I can for future releases (or just look harder for that little piece of info) -
I was referring to the next stage of development, not the current system. And don't ask me how it's going to do it. If you were told 10 years ago that you could have 360deg protection around a tank from ATGs you'd prolly call it bluff
-
Yeah, we never know where technology will take us :) Fortunately, Merkava's will not have to face A-10s..at least I hope :)

I'm an israeli, we call it Wind Coats in hebrew so that was a loose translation :P

Trophy doesnt fire missiles. It fires pellets at extreme high velocity. There is no reload mechanism

Look at HawgTouch main window. At the Data Export section (left) it would say either: DISABLED (red) ENABLED (green) HELIOS (green) OUTDATED (orange) If you have anything but ENABLED it wouldn't work. Click the [Enable] button and restart the sim! You should be good to go -
In 2006 Lebenese campaign there were no "Wind Coats" installed on any of the Merkava's. These were field tested 4 months ago with a live crew and fire and only one battalion as of now (Mk4's) have these installed. The next development of the Trophy will intercept kinetic weapons (including GAU8 rounds) Check this video out:
