Okay. The issue is NOT connected to launching from a non-airbase. This has been tested. Still seeing the issue in Germany and Kola.

The track was long because I was trying to isolate whether it was a missed setting at start-up and I figured it might help. Terrain is over... well... grass. Do you mean maps? Seeing it in Kola, Germany and, as of last weekend, in Normandy.

Picture this. I'm hovering all sneaky at 20-30 feet. I switch from the the backseat over to the CPG seat in the Kola map (seen this in Germany as well) and we instantly bob up to 100 feet. Attaching a track file and a video file. Video at altitude bug.trk

I originally saw this in the Germany map and now I am seeing it in the Kola map as well. I can pilot the bird to a sneaky 20 feet and then switch to the cpg to start throwing missiles. As soon as I enter the front seat we bob up to 110 feet. I check the Hover menu to George the pilot in the back seat and can set altitude to 0 but he still stays at 110 feet. This gets you spotted and killed fast. Anyone else seeing this?

Oh I'm in Co-op mode... George has the dotted cross on the target lasing it.

I got the latest update on July 23rd and now when George is given permission to engage targets in range with gun he refuses to fire. Rockets are wonky now- even if George locks and lasers a target in rockets co-op mode, the range is based off the shooting pilot's crosshairs controlling the pylons. It's like a hybrid with TADS marking the aim point and the pilot controlling the range distance to the target with his head. Was this intended?

I also get a momentary crash when the AT-6 strikes. I'll post that later.

Anyone else not seeing AT-6 launches when replaying recorded action? I shot two AT-6 missiles in the original hop but nothing is seen in the replays.

I tried it today and would like to officially beg to bring the old system back; its options were so much better. The load times made me think DCS had locked up.

This issue appears to happen only in the Germany map.

Yeah maybe! He did not appear to be doing a 300 feet AGL but barometric. It's weird.

I had an interesting thing happen to me yesterday and I thought I'd ask about it. I was flying in Cold War Germany in rain from the back seat - I switch to the front to perform a task and notice we are ascending from around 150 feet to 300 feet. I pull up the george pilot AI menu and ask to sink down to around 110 feet. No response. I jump to the pilots seat and take her down to 110 feet myself. I switch back to the gunners seat and we start to ascend back to 300 feet where we stop. This is something new that I have never seen before. I am not sure if it is: a. new update that has changed George pilot behavior b. some AI protocol that kicks in when it is raining c. an issue only seen in the Germany map Give it a try and see if you get the same issue. Like I said, I've never seen it before the 5/21/25 update.

Greetings all, I downloaded the 2.9.14.8222 Update and I get "missing files" and "Disk read error" on my new SSD. The drive is fine. Is anyone else having trouble with this update through steam?

Hi all, I'm trying to download 2.9.14.8222 Update and I get the "Missing files" error. This is the first time I have ever gotten this. SOP is to delete content in your steamapps download folder. Did it. Same results. I did a game integrity test and it says I am missing a hundred or so files. Steam automatically fetches those and immediately starts downloading the update again. Same error. Are others getting this problem?

I'm going to be moving DCS to an M.2 drive. I plan to copy my install folder to my c'/: drive, install my new M.2 drive and then copy my DCS folder from c; to J: (new M.2) Question.... How do I point the DCS launcher to my new SIM location?

I must have jolted the cards loose when I moved. I have noticed a loading time from roughly 13 minutes now to 9 mins 40 seconds. Not much better but an improvement. The Kola map is still a dumpster fire of performance for me. Thank you for noticing this. It says 2 slots are empty when it is not the case. I have 64 RAM installed and yet 2 slots show empty. Not good.
