  1. The command sure works and I enable everything on the map to be seen... there's noone on the "hidden" list. Hmmmm... No F-15s. I KNOW someone was shooting at me!!! Won the mission. I found out what my mistake was... The 4 ship split up and the Eagles were going after the A-50 AND my bombers. I'm learning how to better orient the AWACs picture in my head so that I can keep better track of the evolving battle.
  2. Hey Groove, where do I go in the mission editor in Flaming cliffs to unlock the mission you responded to me about?
  3. Thanks man. I just want to see how they managed to get me. I'm still learning.
  4. I'm playing the Bomber escort mission for the Su-27. The F-15s don't show up on the map view. Is there a way to toggle them on?
  5. It's custom built (but affordable) from a small place called Airbrush City. They're on the web. Great Mom and Pop operation. Double action.
  6. 1:32 scale. Massive. The bottom line is that a color chart really doesn't help too much unless you mix your own paint seeing how it all depends if you want to make it look recently painted off the factory floor or been out in the sun and wind for a while.
  7. This is the large trumpeter kit. Testors dark flanker blue turned out to be a bust. WAAAAY too dark. More of a German toned Mig-29S color. I had to replace it with good ol bright blue. Here is a nice Georgia thunderstorm forming over my house. A good way to choose a color scheme. Day one: Off to a slow start but a good one. I etched the details using an exacto knife and NO DOGS AROUND ME! Day 2. Testors... you let me down. The dark blue is just too dark. " border="0" /> Day 3: AH! Refreshing! Fixed the dark. I had to choose a bright blue vs. faded. I like brand new coats so I'm going to make this bird look like it just pulled out of the plant. :) " border="0" /> Day 4: some touch ups. Added some more medium blue close to the cockpit and fixed some issues. Everything's better when wet! I decided to add a trial gloss coat to it just to see if she looked more realistic. Looks nice! Russian aircraft paint can be quite shiny when clean I've seen in journals. Trying to emulate that. " border="0" /> I still have a LONG way to go but I'm making progress! " border="0" /> " border="0" /> Tomorrow... more touchups and fixes. I plan to do a wash when completed. Let me know what y'all think!
  8. I see it in the inventory but can't find any loadouts with it? Can I use the R-77 a a playable missile?
  9. Ah ha!!! Okay. Was this a change from 1.1 to 1.12A? The manual with my CD uses the cross.
  10. No more ILS cross on the HUD in Flaming Cliffs?
  11. Okay... here is what the manual says: "In the RETURN sub-mode, the sighting mark shows the glide slope intercept point. The shortest line to the glide slope point will be indicated on HDD. Manual switching between airfields is performed by pressing the [~] key. After reaching the glide slope intercept point, the RETURN sub-mode will automatically switch to the LANDING sub-mode and the Tower will provide landing instructions." So when the submode switches to landing submode automatically the HUD should show the ILS cross right?
  12. I've got visual landing in the Flanker down to a science so I thought it would be time to tackle some bad weather landing using the ILS. I set the weather conditions perfect and select a crimean airbase to land at. I line up the IP on the MFD and the tower comes over the radio that I'm clear for a VISUAL approach. LOL! Yeah right! I picked a large airbase that I KNOW has an ILS. I can see the ILS cross on the HSI but nothing comes up on the HUD. Is there a toggle switch? I tried hitting the 1 key but it simply clears the MFD and resets the navigation submode to Pilot. What am I doing wrong? I am flying Flaming Cliffs 1.12A.
