  1. Okay... TDS is set. Weird thing... I can assign the E rotator as the radar vertical slew but I can't assign my second rotator for horizontal. Weird! Either way, I'm oh so happy to be flying again thanks to the replacement stick from Hitman. I love it. Working out great. Still don't have the profile ready yet but I have the basics down. AHHH!! HAPPY HAPPY HAPPY!
  2. EXCELLENT!!!! I KNEW THERE WAS A WAY!!!
  3. I'll fiddle around with it and see what I can come up with.
  4. Thanks again man. You're money is on the way August 31st. (explanation in your PMs) The webpage crapped out so I wasn't sure if I would get your email to send it to you! I haven't found a single PR0 profile where people use the throttle ministick. Do you? I'd LOVE to use it to designate targets on the HUD and search for ground targets using the Mercury pod. I figure if YOU don't use the ministick then I should assign the function to one of the other hats.
  5. Well, I'm soon to be up and running thanks to Hitman giving his old X52 to me. I am having issues with mapping the control system, mainly the sliders. Buttons I can do but the .PDF manuals are vague about more advanced settings. Ideally I'd like to use the precision slider for radar range control but I have no idea how to do it. SOOOO.... my usual solution to a problem like this is to see someone else's programming in another profile and simply cut and paste it into mine. The problem is that I can't find a single NON *.DAT Lomac FC profile out there!! All of them are *dat version which, Hitman so eloquently explained was "taken out behind a shed and had its brains blown out." I'm detail-oriented and thus a real pain in the ass. I don't leave the ground unless my avionics are JUST LIKE I WANT THEM. The good news is that you all know that I learn fast. So.... we can either: 1. teach me how to code for the sliders and rolling knobs or 2. point me where I can get new profiles that are compatible with the new editing system. I'm grounded until my quest is complete. Don't let Hitman's generosity go in vain!
  6. Actually, I had a negative experience with ordering FC online. I went through the official website and paid using a secure service. No game ever arrived. This was over 6 months ago. I got tired of waiting and no one at customer service responded to me. I THEN realized the game could be bought right off of friggin' amazon and I had it in a week. Still... I want my $15 back.
  7. This forum is about a love of warplanes not of war. It sounds stupid but its true.
  8. I always wanted to replace it with something like "DON'T CRASH YOU DOUCHE!"
  9. LOL! No, I tend to stay away from ANY autopilot mode when Im engaged! Especially when I'm encountering ATA contacts! Can you imagine someone complaining that the autopilot doesn't evade missiles for you!! Some people just played too much "Top Gun" on the Nintendo. I'm talking about the following situation: I find myself avoiding vibration by throttling back enroute, then the enroute mode autopilot WITH altitude stabilizaion mode makes a course change that is too abrupt and without human intervention youll auger into the ground. There is the "quick disengage" key but I usually like to take full control and 100% disengage the auto mode to be safe.
  10. So... I'm banking to the left with the autopilot on and cancel it because I feel that my speed won't keep the turn without sinking... what would YOU do?
  11. As I am waiting for my new flight stick and throttle (Thanks again Hitman!) I realized while watching Ironhands tutorials to cancel trim when leaving an autopilot mode. No kidding! It gets really nasty to fly it if you leave an autopilot mode when you are not level. IS THERE A CANCEL (NEUTRAL) TRIM KEY FOR THE T-TOAD? I'm imagining that I programmed the wrong key because it never seemed to work right.
  12. To keep this short... Yes... its still down. No.... it will not be down forever... Yes... they know its down. No... we don't know when it will be back up. Yes... I brought this up a few days ago. :music_whistling: Just be patient.
  13. Everyone probably knows what an alarmist I am... 1. I CAN'T WIN THIS OR THAT MISSION (yes, you can rookie) 2. I CAN'T FLY THE SU-25T! (yes you can rookie... it's your joystick that is dying) Could you guys check it out in your area? Thanks!:smartass::thumbup:
  14. You're going to need a fair amount of putty.
  15. Modelling thread The Flanker is a Trumpeter build. I built an insanely large B-1B while I was living in my cramp apartment before meeting my wife. It's been with me everywhere! Built the MiG-29 3 years ago. Built the Hind 4 years ago. I guess I have to build something every Summer.
  16. Once again, thank you so much friend. I really can't tell you how much I appreciate you doing this. Here you take the time to reach out to a fellow simmer who's a complete stranger. I've been away from simming for not even a week and I've got withdrawl symptoms. I've taken to building a 1:32 scale Flanker in the meantime to help me get through it. THANK YOU HITMAN! THANK YOU ED SIM COMMUNITY FOR HELPING NOOBIES AND MAKING US FEEL WELCOME!
  17. Yeah IH, the only way I found out about it was because you mentioned it in your tutorials.
  18. I'll watch over it I promise. Tuck it in at night.
  19. I need to name my first born after Hit-man. My wife is like "Okay... what's the catch?! You went out and bought it didn't you!" I'm like "No Honey! Flight simmers are a tight group of brothers! He's just giving me his old hardware since he's getting new!" I told her to check to banking statements and only then did she believe me. Thank you again for helping me out. You'll be getting Christmas cards for the rest of your life Hit-man.
  20. Most generous! Talk to you in a week or whenever you're ready. I've had 3 Thrustmasters (2 FLCS and one Cougar) and I think it's time to switch companies. I read the poll here at the ED forums that the X52 is what most people use anyway! Thanks again Hitman!
  21. THANK YOU! Le t me know what you want for it ok? Is it compatible with old thrustmaster elite pedals? I'll give her a good home I swear it!
  22. Well... took it apart. No wiring problems I think the circuit boards themselves are shot. One button sends a signal down and the circuit board thinks its another button. No more flying for me for at least a year until I can get a replacement. See you all next July. (wishing I was dead) Cobrabase Out.
  23. [quote name='=RvE=--AS--']... just lock ground coords (blank terrain or area) or targets with your optical system and your bearing pointer on your HSI will fix and remain on this point with bearing and range unless you dont switch to Nav mode or something else. So If the target leaves the optical system's gimbals and I go around it will pop back into view? The system will remember?
