Is the A-10C gun shells impact sound exists in the final version like in this movie -1:55 minute http://www.youtube.com/user/wagmatt#p/a/u/2/RFZ_A9WPrYw ? { I just can't hear them on this movie -2:56 minute : maybe because it's actually a Beta movie }

Manual Beta 4 Page 151: 10. Rotary Selector Dial. This four-position dial allows you to select which transmitter you wish to broadcast on and monitor. Selections are INT, VHF, FM and HF. As such, to send a radio message using one of the radios or intercom to ground crew or tanker, you must first set this dial to the transmitter you wish to use. Just wondering if ED is planning to release a Texture template for A-10C model, like the one for the Ka-50 product? ( http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/downloads/misc/ka-50_template_textures/) I'm sure we going to put that for a good use, which also can keep us a little busy until the full release ! :smilewink:

I think you are wrong buddy ... Flip the SIGNAL LTS switch back and forward and at the same time look at the Caution Light Panel and you will see the difference !

Manual page 478: Set exterior lights from Lighting Panel: o Taxi: Strobe is OFF and Nav Lights set to Dim Flash Manual page 158: 3.Formation Lights and Dial. Located on the vertical tails, on the fuselage, and on the wingtips are yellow-green luminescent formation lights. These lights are useful when attempting to hold close formation at night and are not visible from long range. To control the brightness of these formation strips, you can use the FORMATION dial. The dial can be rotated between the OFF and BRT (bright) stops. The Dilemma: Can you really set the Nav Lights to Dim, or is it a typo and the intension was to the Formation Lights ?

Hey Beta 4 Manual Page 160: Signal Lights Switch. This two-position switch located on the left side of the panel is labeled SIGNAL LTS and is used to set warning and caution advisory lights to one of two settings: the BRT setting provides full brightness and the DIM setting is used to provide reduced illumination. In which situations I should use the BRT or DIM functions of the signal lights ?

That is what I usually do, but I was looking for more accurate method because It takes time to set it up.

Manual Page 645: Once the airfield ATC is selected, you can either send them an "Inbound" message to indicate that you intend to land there, or an "I'm lost" message that will result in the ATC providing you guidance to reach the airfield. When you select "Inbound", the ATC will respond with the following information: -Heading to fly to reach landing initial point. -Range to landing initial point. -The QFE, or atmospheric pressure at the airfield elevation. -Which runway to land on. How do you know you have reached that initial point provided by the ATC? Any Avionics manipulation technique will be highly appreciated. I 'm trying to find and practice different techniques and eventually adopt the best one.

159th_Viper, Thanks for the clarification, I do hope that the 'surfing' effect will be modelled in the future though. JaseGill, I guess we know better now..?

I'm surprised that the second that your plane touch the water (In the sim) you simply explode !!! I hope that I'm wrong about that but this is what I understood from what been said here, didn't got to try this myself yet.

So in a short story the manual should be updated from: If you must land the aircraft on water, follow these steps before doing so: 1. Ensure landing gear is up. 2. Jettison all external stores. 3. Set flaps to down (DN) setting. 4. Fully close the speed brakes. 5. Jettison the canopy. 6. Set oxygen to 100%. 7. Land on the water with a minimum decent rate. to: If you must land the aircraft on water, you are going to become a big water pole anyway, so don't bother to follow these steps before doing so : 1. Ensure landing gear is up. 2. Jettison all external stores. 3. Set flaps to down (DN) setting. 4. Fully close the speed brakes. 5. Jettison the canopy. 6. Set oxygen to 100%. 7. Land on the water with a minimum decent rate :smilewink: I hope that will change some day ...

considering page 591: Ditching If you must land the aircraft on water, follow these steps before doing so: 1. Ensure landing gear is up. 2. Jettison all external stores. 3. Set flaps to down (DN) setting. 4. Fully close the speed brakes. 5. Jettison the canopy. 6. Set oxygen to 100%. 7. Land on the water with a minimum decent rate. Is it possible in the sim to land on water?

Hey Going over the RWR part in the manual (Page 404), I couldn't find any air threat presentation, It seems that the RWR specialize only in ground base threats. Is this assumption true in the real aircraft ?
