Hey guys, Again hopefully the release of DCS 1.5/2 will bring us some new guys to the community so i thought i would knock together a quick series of flying in formations. The guide is more aimed towards people who want to practice offline and with AI pilots and is broken up into 3 parts as seen below. Disclaimer: Im not a pro at formation flying but flying in relatively close formation is all the majority of us need to know how to do. The videos will be released throughout this week. Part 1 (Live now), Part 2 on Wednesday and Part 3 on Friday. I will update thread each video. It's 8 core running at about 4.4 if I remember correctly. Cockpit display res is set at the lowest possible too. A-10 gives me a lower fps than most of the others

Hi guys, I'm looking for a bit of help in the running of DCS. At present whether using vanilla or with mods I'm averaging around 20 fps. I have textures on high, water, scenes, low, heat blur off, visible range medium and tree visibility etc on pretty low. Everything else is turned off including cockpit shadows. I have a amd piledriver fx processor, 8gb corsair dominator ram, Asus hd7870 gpu Any help appreciated

anyone know why anytime i load a mission from this campaign and try to fly it my mapped buttons dont work on my hotas or joystick even though they are still showing as mapped?

Ive recently bought the A-10 module and have noticed pretty quickly that my usual basic profile i make for planes such as the hawk wont cut it. Im looking for a good X52 profile that works. I have searched the internet to find absolutely nothing that works and i need some help.

No i generally stick around 80% the majority of the time. Even the last few days the failures are happening between 5-10 minutes after taking off, surely any failures wouldn't happen in that time period?

It's kinda taking the fun out of the mig for me now which is a shame.

So as almost everyone else probably has, I have experienced numerous engine failures in the Mig. Generally down to throwing the old bird around a bit too roughly but lately every time I use the Mig on multiplayer my engines are failing without any reason and I can't understand why. Earlier tonight and the last 2 days or so I'm flying a steady altitude, not banking at all and the engines keep failing. If I'm high enough generally I can recover the engines but they fail again a few minutes later. It seems very inconsistent and I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong. I've ruled out anything that I may have done or not done when starting her up by joining the virtual aerobatics server where a few of the migs are airborn at the start. They still do the same. Any ideas?

The mouth is lined up the same as on the photographs. I dunno if scale is slightly different on the jet or what because the top of the mouth stops just under the handle as it is on the picture too

That's an awesome setup. Jealous to say the least!

Update 1.1..... - Redone the mouth. - Redone the eyes. - Added smaller detail stickers that are shown on the actual photographs. - Added the text that is on the front landing gear doors. - Rotated the gills to face correct way. Still to do :- - Mouth wraps on an angle for some reason so one side is aligned perfect with the continuation underneath whereas the other side does not match up. - Camel logo on one side has a slight notch missing out of the C. - Tail logos to add.
