Isnґt crisis the one with aliens freezing our butts ? ET from home.. again ? Blah. Frag out! I always was curious at ARMA but since i very happy with AAO, i donґt feel the need to go for another FPS. Unless it goes beyond bang bang... So whats so interesting in Arma ? Curious...since i do not believe he boxes and hype since mid 90s i would like to hear from real players.

To pick details that make you detect movement / ennemies. Tipical sniper training in France involve hitting a 20cm radius target (human chest vital part) at 600m+(Up to weapon capacity). Donґt think in such case having the other eye open is relevant. In a more comon aproach 2 eyes opens, IMHO, are for CQC, where periferal vision is paramount for reaction speed, since extreme acuracy isnґt vital (unless hostage involved). But again i may be wrong about the last part.

Your right, few armies grunt have NVG, much less IR. Armies that provide such for the NonSF are very few. And since its a game lets put everybody in the same lvl... To be truth most armies doesnґt even provide bullet proof jackets (And some who does, does with the jacket being outdated, out of validity etc)so NVG is out of question. As NVG/IR being a war winner agaisnt Iraqui troops that laughtable, since when Iraqui ever had an OMG army, just a junk of ragtag that learned to march, and barely learned to shoot some Generic AK, where low on amo, food and water, and after some days, morale. The boasting came from fear of Saddam and Ignorance of opfor capacity. Now iґm curious about the military version...what does it have that is so interesting ? IR/laser hit recognition software ? better grafics ? Real voices and commands ? Intergrated com/voip ? Awesome AI that coordinate moves beetween suadrons elements and squadrons, mobs, in a more probable pattern ? Real armament attitude, piercing and damage factors, (hit boxes), times of reload, Jams probability etc ? Curious Curious Curious....

Well i already tryed and wasn´t able (maybe my limtation) with scope and camera. With camera its ok (short range). But with scope or even iron sight, i loose too much concentration, speed and details with both eyes opens. Maybe some people are able, or i lack intense training that i have not. But it is well know when you focus, you periferal vision decrease since your brain concentrate in capturing details. Thats why i´m a little dubious at this both eyes opened theory. At least my brain try to manage both focuses at the same time and i loose details in the scope, at long range (2x /x4 ). Just to make sure i´m clear. here my aproximate set of distance Iron sight. Thats my settings for a head sized object, sticking clearly upon background. PB : 10m - 15m close range 10 to 40 - 50 m Medium Range - 50 to 100 m Long range - 100m Above.

Ok the expert there, any idea why Mig 35 and not Su35. I suppose because Su30 can be retrofitted is that right ? And why Eurofighter and not Rafale ? And yes as in any emergent state politics will probably win over military decision this mean tech. transference will win over military capability. Another probable factor thats win will be range capability since india is a extense country.

So for safety purpose we should only turn to the left with full throttle forward ? :huh: Any other limitation we should know beforehand ?:)

You use both eyes.. Right... But it haven´t to be looking like you are trying to look with both eyes trought the scope and bumping your nose on it in the process !!! :lol: Or are you crosseyed ?;) Well i´m not sure you would be able to aim with a darn X4/X8 scope with both eyes open by the way, Since aiming with both eyes in only for short range you loose too much precision in the process. Unless your a Camaleon and can switch your eyes into diferent directions and your brain is still capable of process such information.

Lot of practice lot of crashes.... The also doesnt do any great stunt.. Now if such small engines can be put on a RC...i wonder what strenght they deliver. Can we put some (10 times bigger) in a bike and create a mini vtol ? OKOk too much Cyberpunk...

How hard, relevant and PC ressource consuming would it be to have a pool of skin and the computer would install them randomly on diferent squadrons, vehicles etc ?

Um, the greatest diference i see it the colour range and streading. That really could get a not up in BS. (IE: more brownish and colored trees, i don´t suppose colour variety affect the performance that much.) They also seem to have an edge on colour saturation which seem to give a more realistic look on terrain and sky. You have to remember that those 2 game are basicly FPS and as in 90% of the case they are more about looking good than anything else. As for realism, unfortunatly, i seems infantry still have this crappy aim positioning in center screen, as if you where trying to aim with both eyes... Whats so hard to do it at least a bit more right like in AAO ? But i wouldn´t hold my breath for any realism more complex than doom2. Also wonder in what PC it will look so beautifull.

This ekranoplane is one of the ugliest military invention ever made even if the concept is cool... They would have done nice ducks on a pond as targets...

The real answer is : Why waste bombs on junk, and thats for both sides. Same as both side couldn´t bomb each other without coming to a overall loose on more than both side. People like Rogue, Bush and Putin and many others make me wonder if humanity is worth existing.

Correct me if iґm wrong, but iґve read that the f18 is mediocre in all aspects. (but then people says the same of f16 as a fighter). Apart from the f18e(inexistent by the time), its seems many pilots stated it is unruly at low speed with a lot of nose woobling, even to land on a carrier, and its performance high speed was nothing special. They also added the fact that f18 couldnґt stand as weapon platform due to short range, radar inadequacy (refering to phoenix of course). At least it seemed all in all the pilot where saying was : We prefer f14 at least it has many good points, while the f18 doesnґt perform good at no task. but then those infos are old. Whats the rummors bout f18 now.

Sadly in generic armies there´s a lot of politics involved. We´ll probably never know why USA always "hated" the f14. As said above it wasn´t even the dificult handling that prooved to be bullshit statements by many pilots and airfights, but the allegation that the maintainance of the plane is slow, uneasy and costly. But why triturate f14 instead of phantom or f5, e4 etc is beyond any comprehention, why waste money to reduce them to dust that can´t even be used to anything is strange too. I don´t know about you guys but i still find the f14 a sexy aircraft... can´t remember how many hour i played 14 fleet defender from ATARI.:joystick:

Its not about money.. its about being unique.... Buying a B52: 500.000.000,00; Reforming it for X millions; Seeing the face of your billionaire "friends" turn to ashes of envy have no price. If your rich as this guy there´s nothing that can be bought that you can´t buy, so you seek what the others couldn´t do. I know of a guy that used 2 millions USD just to make a wine degustation, he sought the wines during 5 years....

Su-35 ain´t confortable enought to fit your whole family for a nice trip ! :D and comercial airlines are too common to be cool.
