After install 1.2.10.32582 Update 3, i can load the tutorial ramp start mission with acceptable frames rate (inside the cockpit when looking at both migs on the left i have 22-24 FPS).
Happy camper here.
Edit :
At night you see less detail and also there's less objects to render. I think there's an old thread explaining this, IIRC you can even change a lua file in a way that you have the same FPS at night and during the day.
I wonder what's your FPS using the in game ramp start mission inside cockpit and looking at the 2 migs at your left. I have 15.
EDIT : 10 before overclock :(
Bowl of cereal.. means logistic, I would go for a C-17 or probably a better assumption would be the C-130 that's all over the world and it's kinda old tech witch allows a PFM and ASM. :)
Couldn't agree more. Actually never liked overclocking my CPU always had it at stock frequency 3.16Mhz. But now decided give it a try.
Sooo.. made a small investment and bought one of those :
After a few youtube videos and overclock forums here the results :
Having this setup up for 2 days now and looks rock stable
Now I am just waiting for the LN FPS fix, EDGE and hopefully the skylake won't take much longer...
EDIT : got 5-10 FPS increase in the sim.
This is the Ramp Start mission in the tutorials with simplified lods :
Here 10-11 FPS. Same if I make a close up.
And now a little bit far (mouse wheel tik) gives 40 FPS.
I don't mind have orange 21s.
:(
The version with no exterior 3D mesh solved the FPS issue.
But the other version (lower mesh than the original) didn't do much, maybe 3 or 4 FPS increase, also one lose landing/taxi lights and no helmet-visor too.
Some bugs still alive and performance need some optimization.
Aircrafts modelled with such high level of detail are products that will sell forever.
Yes, they did a nice job indeed.
Congrats LN team.

Edit : snipped
