Afraid I can't help but I can commiserate. Nothing more frustrating than seeing the target on the TID and giving the right commands, only to hear Jester's strangled cry of "unable man!". Hope you find an answer.

May 21 2020 The SuperCarrier is now in Early Access so I'll wrap up my updates in this thread too. Thanks to all who have been reading and good luck to ED with the module.

Oh ok, thanks for explaining. Given my experiences with technology I'd better leave the code-mining to the experts :joystick:. Thanks again

Judging by your answer, I think you meant to ask "who are the most used fighter pilots in the world"

I'd like to learn more about some of the air-to-air missiles we have in-game. For aircraft this search would start with a search for information on the real-life counterpart of the DCS depiction, but I don't know if missile function in DCS aren't modeled closely enough for that approach to be effective. I know we have the in-game encyclopedia but it doesn't give information beyond physical attributes and a max range, but there is no further performance data. Can anyone suggest where I might find more relevant information?

Jester: most frustrating flight sim experience ever !
Horns replied to jojo's topic in DCS: F-14A & B
I know it wouldn't be accurate to real life, but when things happen like the stories you've shared, like Jester dropping lock on one contact 5 times in less than 20 seconds for me just now, it would be really satisfying to be able to eject Jester -

Now that I know what's involved in doing it right I see why I must have skipped trying to figure it out on my previous aircraft. Thanks so much for that Spiceman, a very clear explanation of a principle that could be extremely confusing. Here's hoping you get a lot of positive DCS karma for this good deed.

Can someone please remind me how to use the HSD's TACAN mode to intercept the boat's BRC? I remember setting the landing and TACAN modes and then setting the course knob to the BRC. The HSD next shows me an arrow that points directly at the ship's BRC (rather than a radial to intercept it) and a midsection out of line with the rest. This is where I'm out of ideas. :joystick: If someone could remind me of how to make this work or point me towards something that will I'd really appreciate it.

Hi all, this thread will just be links to any word from official people on SuperCarrier from Reddit, Facebook and other subs on this site. I'll do my best to update this every 24 hours so there is no need to look further to see if you missed something. Thanks to M1Combat for the idea. I'm really sorry to see there is so much doubt about the dev completing the project, or even existing at this point. Still, I don't think BIGNEWY would deliberately make comments to lie and mislead, so I choose to believe this will be completed and available to us at some point. I really hope this map will show the bases each country is using in Syria. I have several objections I would like to register in the key of Mk 84... :joystick:

If we were pre-launch here I'd agree that info would simply be desired and the quantity of same up to ED. At the point they set a release date two months after the first for indeterminate reasons I think informing the owners of progress on the official site became a responsibility. I found that BIGNEWY and Nineline's Reddit profiles didn't display their posts. Now my reddit foo isn't that tight so if I'm missing something let me know, but that means someone running the thread you suggest would need to go through and find their posts in situ, which seems like a daunting task for a volunteer.

Maybe this "repository of comments made" could be placed in the module subforum and called a "Module News" thread, and employees who provide new information could do so there instead of in random places on and beyond this forum.

Thanks Greyman, it's good to know that. I regularly weigh the pros and cons of upgrading my 1080 Ti, so this will probably tip the balance at some stage. Thanks for the assist hornblower, looking at mics for streaming would be the logical place to start. I haven't seen any Logitech mics yet and only a couple of Shures, so it's probably time to look more widely. Cheers :drink:

I have a bad neck which precludes me using a headset, so I have to use speakers on my PC desk. That means I need to use a separate mic on the same desk as my speakers for Vaicom Pro and AIRIO, so what I need is a unidirectional mic that will pick up my voice about 15 inches from its front, and not pick up the sound from my speakers behind it. Can anyone suggest a mic that would be capable of this? The only thing that makes this easier is that, as long as Vaicom understands me, there is no quality requirement. The last thing the world needs is me singing. Thanks for reading, I look forward to your suggestions.

In case anyone here is unaware, Gierasimov spotted Nineline say here that there should be some news in the newsletter about SC. Apologies if Gierasimov or anyone else has already posted this here, just wanted to make sure all are aware

My point was that people are coming here and complaining because it is the only remedy dissatisfied people have available right now, so if ED really want to take the temperature down here offering refunds is an option. Again, they're within their rights to not do so.
