  1. Damn, sorry, meant to post in the Su-25T thread. I think the mission is actually called "Unguided Bombs". Once I've landed after completing the objectives, should the mission end itself, or do I just hit 'escape' once I'm satisfied I'm done?
  2. This mission starts at the runway, I've landed but the mission isn't completing, so I guess it wants me to taxi somewhere. How do I find out where I need to taxi to, and how could I find that information for myself in future missions? Thanks
  3. The misc tab in the options menu has a "Force Feedback" option. I gather from other threads that this works by "stick centering". My question is: Is this purely a software solution (ie requiring more stick movement to simulate greater resistance) or is there hardware involvement where available? I have a TM Warthog and I know installing the drivers installs a force feedback driver as well, so I am wondering if that actually does anything in DCS.
  4. Shonist, here is what I was talking about - the date under the six photos at the top. Knock-Knock, thanks, I didn't realize it was there for the Eagle too. Wonder what's going on...
  5. Anyone know why the Su-27 flanker in the ED Store shows a release date of 31-08-2017? Has there been a major update to this airframe recently?
  6. Hi Sabre-TLA. Any idea when this might be available for purchase again? I'd love to get some interactive Eagle training just like your campaign.
  7. They do look impressive. I have bookmarked (and possibly salivated at) that page, for now I'd say the vacancy is already filled, but I'm sure I'll find an excuse to upgrade to the MFGs.
  8. If I'd read this before making my purchase I would have seriously considered it, would have been very happy to deal with an enthusiast instead. When my TFRPs need to be replaced I will go that route. I guess MFG is on these forums?
  9. Thanks baltic_dragon, always greasy to have input from content designers and you make a really good point. When I don't get my line right in the gun pods training, there often isn't much I can do, but if I use the rudder pedals, ut should allow me to hit the target regardless. I'll go try that now!
  10. Thanks, I've found my way to it now. I hadn't realized I could simply edit the missions received with the module, much appreciated :-)
  11. Thanks everyone! After reading all of your comments I now have a set of Thrustmaster pedals. It was a much less nerve-racking experience having input from you all :-)
  12. Are there officially any training campaigns in development for the F-15? Given the lack of interactive training and the limited learning to be had from the missions currently available, it would be great to get access to a campaign that had a similar scope to the Su-25T training i.e. from first cold start to being borderline combat capable. I would definitely pay for that. In the meantime, I'd like to create training missions for the F-15C that use the courses from the Su-27. Is there a way to access and copy the courses from the existing missions, aside from manually recording the coordinates of each waypoint? If anyone knows a way I can change the aircraft from a Su-27 to an F-15C please let me know? I know the voice overs will not match and the required speeds might not work for the Eagle.
  13. Yes, the China hat does and that's very easy to use, thank you! I believe that solves the problem. Thank you all very much, the help and insight wad invaluable
  14. That's a great idea Sryan, thank you, I will try that! I hadn't considered using the paddle as a modifier. How much pressure does it take to actuate rudder pedals, compared to, say, a car brake pedal? As much/more, half as much etc? If someone has a more fitting analogy I'm all ears (eyes?)?
  15. Ah yeah thanks. I'm not great with landing and it often seems to be that I'm not lined up right, I guess that would be why lol.
  16. Thanks for the reply, it's good to know that it may be necessary in that situation. I have a TM Warthog HOTAS that I hoped to leave at defaults, I do have one unassigned slider that looks like the best option right now, but I need to take my eyes off the screen for a second or two while relocating, and it means taking my hand off the throttle. Using the keyboard means taking my eyes off the screen for a few seconds and taking my hand off the throttle, which might be ok while lining up a landing or something similar, but I figured I couldn't do that while under fire. It's questionable whether I'm physically able to use pedals, so I'm iffy on spending the money in case it's a waste. Reading that paragraph back, it seems like I've put a lot of emphasis on keeping my eyes on the screen and being able to adjust throttle and yaw at the same time. Is that important, or could I get away with looking away from the screen for a little while and adjusting throttle and rudder as an either/or during fights?
  17. Thanks for the response, much obliged, and glad to know it seems like a manageable issue. Do you think it would make it tougher to fight?
  18. How much tougher would it be to pilot the effectively without rudder controls, on a scale of 1 - 10? How much tougher would it make other airframes? I don't have any good rudder control options available, so I'm trying to work out how much tougher that will make DCS World. I'll be grateful for any input you can offer.
  19. Doing the ramp start and navigation mission for the Su-25T, I have followed the director circle closely, yet at some point the distance to the waypoint starts increasing instead of decreasing. I repeatedly tried turning around and picking up the director circle again when the distance is once again counting down, suggesting I am once again approaching the waypoint, but inevitably the problem recurs. This is a problem I had in some of the Su-27 training, but this is the first time I've had it in the Su-25T. Can anyone shed any light on what's happening and why? Is there a way to avoid the problem?
  20. What sort of 1st pass accuracy do you expect from yourselves with unguided rockets, internal cannon and gunpods? Is the standard closest to 'first time every time', 75% or 50%? Any ideas what the real-life expectation is/was?
  21. That's exactly it, thank you so much!
  22. Trim is neutral, autopilot isn't engaged
  23. In the 11th Su-25T training mission 'Shkval sensor with Kh-29T and KAB-500Kr', when the lesson is unpaused the jet starts rolling hard right and continues until the lesson ends. I'm able to compensate (by pushing the stick hard left as often as possible) well enough to launch the Kh-29T and take out the first target, but the movement is too great to lock the second target. Is this a known bug? Is there a known workaround? The roll mentioned above does not happen anywhere other than in this particular training mission.
  24. Thanks to both of you. Awesome that this community has people such as yourselves who are both knowledgeable and willing to help.
  25. Do graphics in the training and campaign improve as the assets in the broader game improve, or do they have to be improved specifically? Just trying to figure out if they screenshots in the store are representative of the way terrain and other vehicles look now...
