GazAce replied to baltic_dragon's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Hey BD, will there be any Tanker Air Refuelling training missions in this one your putting together? -
Thanks Zilch, appreciate that.

Markpoint as Steerpoint on moving target possible?
GazAce replied to GazAce's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Thank you kindly, I appreciate those tips . -
Hey wingmen, with my A-10C came two Campaigns, Georgian Hammer and GH with CA. I'm just wondering what Georgian Hammer with CA is and is there much difference between these two Campaigns?

Markpoint as Steerpoint on moving target possible?
GazAce replied to GazAce's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Thanks very much but I'm good with all that. I follow the procedure and system, tried force correlating and everything but MAVs are so stupidly stubborn and at the moment I'm stuck in a night mission and they're not doing what they're supposed to. My question directly is about Markpoints set as Steerpoints and whether or not they could apply to a moving target but I'm pretty sure they can't. Thanks again anyway. -
Hey there good people, I was recently given some helpful tips on targeting as my MAVs have been constantly behaving badly of late ie: locking on to DIRT!!#!@ So I tried this setting a Markpoint as my Steerpoint procedure and after a few attempts seemed to work out pretty well but now I have to lock on to a moving ground target and was wondering can I still use this same system to do that? And once I noticed when I engaged my target with the Laser I got a flashing P on my TGP not a L or B but that only happened once.

Very very nice.. Wow that's awesome and will go beautifully with my A-10C Flight Manual and Quick Start Guide in my work iPad. Thank you kindly

TEW Operation Hammerfall sooo difficult arghhh

Ahh your welcome, I'm very much enjoying it, I just need more experience that's all but learning a little every day is rewarding and having a great support base here is fantastically cool. I just wish I could retire now! haha. And that's exactly right! My beautiful Mum was born in Warsaw, sadly 31 years gone now, way too young but still strong in my heart and ever watching. Thanks again for your help, cheers G :o) -
Re:MFCDs Umm excuse my ignorance but those pics of MFCDs ( and btw thank you for posting them ) so are they real working ones and if so how are they powered? USB? I'm a little confused about this housing thing.

Thanks BD! You da man! hey us Pols gotta stick together huh hehe (well I'm half anyway, the good half of course! ha) and there's a heap of helpful tips in there but yes JDAM after mark, beauty! Thanks again and also thanks for bothering, cause I know your flat out with other stuff so that's very cool. And I can't wait to see what the next mission is, that's one of the things that keeps me comin back and staying up till near dawn sometimes haha. Kinda like a really good series.. Breaking Bad or Soppranos etc can't wait for the next episode. Congrats again man on a very well thought out and at times difficult but still very enjoyable campaign. Regards Gary :o) -
Interesting, thankyou

Anyone have any tips on how to get through this mission? This is so frustrating, targets are hard to keep locked cause of the terrain and now after a bagillion attempts the enemy is wiping out Echo 1 before I can do anything about it and my wingmen just flys around and won't engage any ground targets when I ask. Now I'm thinking this Campaign is probably for the more experienced pilots. This is killin me, although I would be ok if the TGP would stop constantly locking on the terrain when I make a turn, would def make life easier

Hey all, does anyone knows if there are real MFCDs are available on the market for an A-10C? I'm sure I've seen a picture of someone using them but not sure for which aircraft.
-
Hey wingmen, if your kinda green to the A-10C like me and find all the weaponry a bit daunting, you may already know but in case you don't there's a very cool armaments list on DCS- Home-Products-Planes-A-10C page or I should say pages cause it's pretty chock full of details and great info but I found the Armaments section really helpful, it lists all the munitions you carry and is in easy point form. I printed out a few pages to keep as a handy reference. Just saying :)

Small but worthy gains, gotta keep goin! Thanks Razor, appreciate it

Firstly thank you kindly for your input FeeFiFoFum. I just need to ask a couple of questions as my poor little half Polish half Greek Cypriot brain has been over worked by this but last night I did manage to use a IAM successfully and finally after a near week being stuck thank heavens progress to the fourth mission in this very cool TEW campaign. The A-10C is new for me so I'm picking up things and learning each day and I do feel a bit embarrassed asking stuff and pestering you guys here all the time but I always check my manual. I did try what you said but I think I messed up. So, do I make my target SPI?, I'm assuming yes and also how exactly do I select my Mark Point with HUD SOI and then make it SPI when I press China Aft Long, doesn't China Aft Long reset the diamond on my HUD therefore losing the target? Sorry bit muddled here.

Thank you all but I did already know where the weapons were and how to change the config of them and the fuel and map and all that, it was just specifically what the load out of weapons were at the start of each mission I couldn't work out, I could only see the weight change when I chose diff loadouts but anyway I worked it out, what you start with is by default at the bottom of the weapon list. Thanks for your help anyway, I appreciate it.
-
Yea I meant before get to my plane but I'll check briefing, thank you :o)
-
Hey groovy wingmen. I can't seem to find what weapons has been allocated to my loadout. I always go in there prior to any mission to check fuel, map etc but I've noticed the weight for the weapons is different for each mission start, even if it's the same mission but I can't seem to find what weapons have been loaded. What am I missing?

Hey BuzzU , I just discovered that very fact the other day too, I saw it in the DCS World A-10C Controls menu, thought I would try and it works great!. I was using keyboard , . ; / and that was finicky but with my hat top switch it doubles as a Trimming and FOV , yep very cool. :o)
-
Ahh but now I know what you mean, that's cool and yea I know latch on latch off. I'll try both those suggestions. MAVs are great, especially when you watch em goin in for the kill fast! Thanks again! :o)
-
Yea I'm just into the PGMs now and they seem a much better option than the MAVs for this mission. Thanks a bunch fellas, gives me hope ;o)

Well I just flew over two hrs in one mission and dammit again zip nada. Has anyone any tips in completing the third one in Enemy Within? Startin to feel like Bill Murray in GHD here. I'm having this problem as in I find my target (AAA) in this compound on the back of a truck and when I make it SPI and slave everything to it, as I'm turning and lining up my AC to get my GBU ready the camera then sticks to the side of a hill or mountain as the target gets obscured by it!? I end up losing my target and then it's back to flying around in twilight zone again. I've tried so many different ways to get through this but keep getting the same results. it's a good little mission, I just wish my pod would stay on the target. I'll take a nice flat desert with a few rocks and stuff any day
