  1. Thanks Crow. I have 3 Campaigns.. Basic Flight Training, Stone Shield and The Enemy Within (which I'm doing atm) not sure if any have Refueling but I'm guessing the Advanced AC Training Qual is the one that does but I don't have enough experience to take that on at this stage and the same with Piercing Fury and Red Flag, outta my league. Doesn't matter, maybe it'll turn up sometime.
  2. When I do find my Target area I mark it with a letter on my TAD TMS RHT Short after scaling my TAD out to 20 Miles then if I get a little lost I can still find it and I also make a mental note Way Pnt wise if I more than likely have to redo the mission. Man I feel your pain, sometimes even with labels it's hard to find.
  3. Easy, where is that setting?
  4. Hmm I found it and both Part A and Part B look great but going by the comments I'm not sure it's still available. I'll have to wait a little later when I get home to see if I can.
  5. Hey thanks brother, I'll hunt that down.
  6. Thanks guys, much appreciated.
  7. Hey all. I'm curious to know if there is any Air Refuelling training missions available, there's none in DCS I can see. I would really love to learn how it's done. :pilotfly:
  8. Hey look what I just picked up at my local newsagent today! Just go's to show the Hawgs are not forgotten and this worthy cover shot and article proves it. Soon as I saw it I just had to buy it hehe, HAWGS F... ROCK BABY!!
  9. Thanks Q
  10. Hey all, anyone know how to get rid of "note" that sometimes ends up on my Heading Tape , I tried hitting "clear on my UFC but the word still flashes and I'm still without my Tape. I'm kinda guessing its waiting for me to make some entry in there, tried the manual but no answers
  11. That's what I'm talkin about!! Thanks Kang man :-)
  12. Interesting, thank you kindly good people and I would be interested in checking out your reference chart cthulhu68 if that's ok :-)
  13. Hey wingmen, sorry dumb question... Is there any way or little trick in knowing which end of the Runway to take-off from after taxiing from the parking area. A couple of times I've seen my wingmen up the other end waiting as doofus me is at the wrong end of the path that takes you to the runway. I'll take a guess and say where you start is in front of the ATC Tower? Is this correct or is there some easier way of determining this? :helpsmilie::pilotfly:
  14. Thanks kindly fellas :-)
  15. Yest I was taxiing out to the runway in low light conditions and my wingmen had their cool lights projecting out in front of them. I thought *I want that*, searched around for the switch on my lighting panel and the AHP but couldn't find it. Could someone please tell me? I thought maybe it comes on automatically
  16. Cheers fellas, thanks a bunch :-)
  17. WOW! Just saw that trailer, Dragon and Doughboy, you guys f... rock! This is going to be so good and the best news since I recently bought HOTAS Hog Throttle n Stick on SALE! And yep great choice with Maiden there. Lousy Aussie exchange rate or not.. I'm buyin man! This is exactly what newby A-10C dudes like me need, something with a less clinical and a more finger on the pulse approach from experienced guys like yourselves, who know what the peeps feel and need. Like I said, I'm a newby but really enjoying my Hog, I can nearly Ramp Start now without peeking at my notes and yea I'm gettin blown outta tha sky heaps but hey that's part of the learning curve and man there's so much to learn, was spoon fed in the SU-27 a while ago but this mouse clickable cockpit thing is different beast entirely and makes you think and learn too. I'm just a couple of missions into your Enemy Within Campaign and already it seems very cool, hats off to you guys, I don't how how you do it!? And nothing but gratitude and pats on the back to fellas like you who make a difference man, the unsung heros and also BIG UPS to all the other helpful peeps in this forum who don't mind answering questions no matter how dumb they seem. Cause knowing there's a great support base here makes flying all the more fun. Looking forward to those Training Missions. Cheers, peace, out. G ;~}
  18. Hey that's great news! Thanks kindly! Will this be available in the DCS site or is it a D'load via a link here?
  19. Cheers, thanks Yurgs :o)
  20. Re: CSAR Mission Well it happened again!! That same fricken CSAR mission!! I'm goin crazy with this thing man. Firstly, I'm one of these peeps who likes to complete stuff, you know.. no loose ends, all that. So when I come across a mission I cant complete I keep on pluggin away, sorry, that's just the way I am, especially when I've been soooo dam close. Anyway, back to my dilemma. The same sh^%$#@ happened. I fly with the default load out, set my alt/head on auto and what happens?! My Hog literally starts to eventually fall out of the sky. This time I saved this mission ( actually two them ) so I can pass it onto who ever is interested but I what I really would like is for someone to try it as I did and see what happens. I really think there is a problem here. Just try it, no fuel or weapons changes and sit at the altitude it starts and see what happens. I was max power at that altitude and I literally starting floating into a loss of power and speed and had to dive to regain. Maybe I should forget about it and focus on the Campaign, hmm or maybe add more Coke to my Black Russians. Whatever, still happy, peace out. G
  21. Yea man your right, these discussions are awesome, especially for me being a newby to the A-10C and thank you kindly again for your input. And I will try to upload it cause it's a great little mission and in relation to that speed issue it always starts the same way (around 190 kts) unless I reduce the fuel and munitions. I'll try it again when I get home and start it as the default load out and see what happens. If anyone is interested, it's called CSAR I think.
  22. HOTAS Throttle ok? About the OP s performance issue, i think its happening cos of the afterburner limiter on hotas warthogs throttle as EasyEB mentioned on his first post. Hey all, this quote above I read has me a little perplexed. Doesn't the afterburner limiter only apply to supersonic aircraft SU27 etc , so how is it relevant to my Warthog? And also you have to physically change the mechanics of the throttle with your Allen key for this to happen which I haven't done as I thought it wasn't necessary? I'm doing this right yea? I've only had the throttle and stick setup for two weeks so it's still kinda exciting and new but I'm sure I don't use the afterburner, right? Anyway I don't want to get too bogged down with this, I just want to know if there's anything to be concerned about with this equipment, so far it seems to be working beautifully. :pilotfly:
  23. Thanks for the heads up FlyingPhotog, so far I've managed to take out 5 of them... was sooooo close. Man this is one tough mission!
  24. Wow what a nice vibe there is here, that is awesomely helpful, thank you all. Finally just completed first mission of a campaign and landed without dying!! YES!! Dam gotta be up for work in 5 hrs boo hoo.
  25. Hmm I'm beginning to understand this Forum stuff and I like it, it's pretty cool. About my flaps dilemma, I forgot they retract at 180kts so it couldn't be that so I'm starting to believe the slow performance was due to lots of munitions and full load of fuel on board as some have mentioned. And how do you jettison those used racks, couldn't find it in the near 700 page manual I've got here
