This is really interesting and now I am glad I brought it up , ok but what are TERs? and also on my HOTAS Throttle the Flaps have three settings.. UP , MANOEUVRE and DOWN , I use DWN setting to land yes? I use UP for take off and MVR for cruising , is this right fellas? Sorry to be a pain but it might be the reason why sometimes I drag in flight.

Hey all, I wish I knew what all that Radio chatter meant. I understand about %50 but it would be nice to know the rest so I'm just wondering if there a Radio chat legend available for all those terms like.. bogey dope, vector to home plate and stuff like that. I checked my manual but couldn't find anything. And also EasyEB mentioned a mapping of full throttle control, how is this done? As I wish to check if my HOTAS throttle controller is functioning to its maximum power. Regards G :)

Hey Yurgon , thanks man. I just tried that mission again today but this time I loaded only %70 fuel and man oh man whatta difference! More power and speed. I didn't have time to carry on with it as I had to rush out here but I will try again now and see what happens. Will let you know if it's better or what, seems much better tho. Cheers G

Hi good people. I'm just wondering if anyone has had any issues with speed and power in some missions. I'm trying to complete a mission titled CSAR and my aircraft performs really poorly. It's actually a great little mission where you have to co-ordinate with SANDY ( UH-60 ) a rescue of an F-16C Pilot that's gone down behind enemy lines in a very mountainous region. I did complete the task but unfortunately tried to make it back but couldn't get over the mountains, stalled and didn't eject in time so phhhft. It starts off at a speed around 190kts and that's with my throttle at max the only way to increase your speed is by diving and slowly climbing but this also has its limits. I tried several test starts on a variety of different missions, all with identical settings, max power at same altitude and I also checked my flaps and speed brakes. Most missions were ok but there were variances but this CSAR mission is the most severe and most annoying because your aircraft slowly loses speed and power whether alt/hdg auto pilot is engaged or not, it doesn't hold position and will eventually go into a stall. A couple of weeks ago I purchased the Thrustmaster HOTAS A-10C Warthog Throttle and Stick set up and man oh man I'm still blown away, I have everything slaved to my liking on it and it's working beautifully, this thing is crazy good but in regards to this power and speed issue, I'm kinda hoping it's just a bug in the mission and not something I'm doing wrong. Hey that's great, thank you very much for those tips fellas and I've finally sorted the MAV issue, was just a matter of trial and error and more practice and yes you def have to get within good range. For any A-10C newbies like me out there, there's a good little mission called River Run where you have to take out 6 bunkers along a river as you come in from the sea and the SAMS get harder as you progress further along the river. I've only got to No. 2 so far haha, anyway I reckon it's a good one cause you get to use a number of different missiles and bombs.

Hey good pilots! I keep getting a "NO TRACK LAUNCH IHBT" message when I go to use my MAV missile. I'm following everything to the letter as in the way of setting up both my MFCDs and DSMS but I can't seem to get a lock or actually no hang on.. I DO get a lock but when I go to fire away that pesky mesg pops up and stops me from doing so and yet in the Training tutorial with the instructor it all worked fine. It only works if I tick the Game Flight Mode and Game Avionics Mode in the Difficulties Options Menu, then it works fine but it's kinda too easy and also shows in each top corner of my 55" UHD Samsung tele these huge TAD and TGP displays when I use F2 or F3 etc for external views which is annoying, so wondering if anyone knows how to get rid of those and also is there any way of changing the color or brightness on HUD Display? Hi there Burgo 38 I have been a DCS faithful tragic for a few years now and never really gone all out into the total avionics and systems learning curve of the different aircrafts. I just had fun plodding along in my SU 27 and a few others flying the simpler missions and campaigns available. I've had a blast though, especially when I actually finished the Ultimate Argument campaign last year. Well I thought to myself I would like to try something a little more advanced with more depth so I looked at the A-10C Warthog and after a few training missions and tutorials ( which I'm still doing now actually ) I'm absolutely hooked! This aircraft is just awesome man! I'm so blown away by its sheer grunt and handling and just the feel of the thing, and most of the cockpit layout is pretty much self explanatory, it's truly a beauty! Well I was so impressed I went all out and just a few days ago bought myself a Thrustmaster HOTAS Warthog Throttle and Stick replica set up, now I'm totally gone!! I reckon this was the best $600AU I've ever spent. Like a few folks here have said, yes there is a lot to learn but it's already rewarding me and the DCS Training missions are very good. I've just finished slaving and reconfiguring commands on some of the buttons and switches for both the throttle and stick but most were there already in the DCS controls menu and I must say this piece of equipment is state of the art and for once wasn't made in China or Malaysia ( no offence intended ). It's actually made in France and the sheer weight of it and quality makes it a pleasure to use. So I would say, stick with the A-10C Warthog, it's a beautiful beast and for me it's starting to prove itself to be an enjoyable and amazing aircraft and is only going to get better the more I learn and fly with my new controls. Hey all, I just purchased The Nevada Test Range DCS 2 and also F15 Red Flag Campaign. Flying around it certainly looks awesome and with great detail but I've just only started self teaching the cockpit of the F15 and wish there were some training missions available. I can't see any, so anyone know if there is any teaching mods or any way I can speed up my learning curve?

Hey good people. Could anyone explain why my TDC won't lock on to BVR targets? I'm in mission 17 and noticed the Civ aircraft on my Radar and did lock onto it and then turned my Radar off and on again as I'm unsure how to cancel the lock on, then with my Radar ON I starting scanning and found the two enemy aircraft and also saw the Civ one again as well, I guess I was about 40km away and closing but then when I slewed my TDC box over any of them and hit Enter nothing happened. I also tried cycling through different weapons but still hitting Enter nothing happened. I could only lock and engage when within 10km. I went back to the training mission for BVR targets and that worked fine, so I can't understand what's happening. Am I doing something wrong or is this a glitch? :huh:

Well I'm a little over half way and up to Predator mission 11 and this Ultimate Argument is proving to be an awesome Campaign with lessons learnt through trial and error and of course dying heaps lol. Here's a few things I discovered, for any newbies like me.. Missions are numbered in the left hand cnr of your mission planner. Flying around aimlessly waiting for task complete acknowledgment and RTB watching your fuel go near bingo, try this.. Request inbound, once granted, land, taxi and park. Switch off engines and request rearm and refuel, when that's done request startup, taxi and takeoff. By the time your airborne ATC usually grants RTB. Anyway it worked for me. Peace out, G :)

Hey all, has anyone had any problems completing Escort A-50 mission? I finish the Escort and land and get told to Taxi and sometimes not but nothing happens after, I just sit there after I park like a stunned mullet with my wingman next to me. I also tried shutting my plane down but still didn't give me mission complete. Anyone else stuck here? :(

Yea now I know how to install, I'm goin to check out heaps of them and I've seen actual missions in these mod lists, do they actually work cause I noticed the files are not that big so how can they run?

IT WORKED!!! It's beautiful!!!! all is legible and easy to read, fuel, test, chaff, flare, all dials, buttons, switches EVERYTHING!! the works! Followed your user instructions, just dropped your whole Mod file into DCS World folder, it was that easy. Can't thankyou enough Devrim. This is going to make this Campaign a whole lot better and thank god I'm single at the moment lol
