Hi! Last couple of days Enigma server was full, so after few months I´ve tried to finally beat this mission. Unfortunately it is still impossible to make it. 4 stingerguys coupled with AAA with sniper capabilities easily neutralize you (whatever alt and speed you are flying), your wingman which is really useless here and at the and also your Mig-23s escort. For me the biggest problem are the stinger mandpads. It looks that If you can eliminate them somehow from a distance, you can deal with couple of AAA after that. But till now, I haven´t found any solution. I really don´t want to skip the mission so yesterday I tried to solve everything with one RN-28 nuke. And here is the funny thing in this most frustrating mission... I´ve managed to hit quite close the enemy with RN-28 and keep myself alive. Every village nearby was on fire and I´ve killed AND NOW HOLD ON...4 Stinger manpads!!! All of the other enemy armor was untouched:D So I´ve told myself - OK at least the damned stingerguys - so I´ve returned to the base, rearm for S-24 rockets to deal with the AAAs (which is the mission goal...). But after I´ve returned to the area of course I was shot down (not sure if by the F-5s which are patroling in the area, or by some armor from the ground). And about these F-5s...I was expecting some problem with them, but of course, you are not able the arm the AA missiles... My suggestion for editing the mission in some future will be (if the AAA remain so precise): - reduce the stingerguys from 4 to max. 2. And if it´s possible to reduce their ammo. Let´s say 2 stinger rocket for each guy. - reduce the AAA from 4 (I think there are 4 AAAs) to 2 This way one will have at least some chance to survive the mission and little chance to succes the mission. Hi, I´ve got stuck at M13 AA over Pshada. You +1 have to fly quite low for some time covered by Mig-23s (in most cases I can survive the F-4s) and after that you should attack and destroy some AAs (part of group of vehicles with some tanks, M113 and stinger soldiers...) Does somebody have some tips how to solve this? I´ve found this much more frustrating than Mission 7. There is almost no chance to be not shot down. I tried it million times staying low and fast, also staying really high. I was shot in 100% cases. Also firing S-5s from a long distance seems to be not the right way. Sometimes I saw some improvement in rearming to S-24s. But you can have only 4 of them and hit something from a distance which is safe for you is really hard. Also I´ve found it quite hard to distinguish which vehicles in the group are the AAs. Thanks for any advices.

I flew this mission yesterday and I can confirm that during RTB close to the NDB Nalchik I´v got a message to fly low and drop flares (just voice message without titles). However I haven´t got any problems to finish the mission (on 2nd try with average rating - hit something from 3000m is quite challenging:)) Anyway, I´m realy enjoying the campaing! I´v found again that Mi-8 is my favourite module and it is really fun to fly it. Thanks for it!

Hi, I´m stucked in this mission. You (+ 1 wingman) are asked to provide a cover for your choppers over Krasnodar AF. There are 2xF-4s + 2xF-5s as a primary threat. I tried it a lot of times with different approaches (low/mid/high alt, fast/slow, F-4s as primary targets/F-5s as primary targets)...but everytime I was shot down. Does anybody have some advices for right strategy in this mission? Thanks a lot!

Hi, I´d really appreciate to have an option to choose Czechoslovakia as a side in mission editor. We already have Yugoslavia, 3rd Reich, etc. , so country where I was born will be great:) There are also many planes in DCS which served in CS airforce and one pure made in CS plane (L-39). Thanks.

Hi, I flew Mission 18 of Spring Tension campaing today and I found that I´m not able to give an order to my wingman to attack ground (in this mission soldiers and ZSU). I tried every order combinations in the list but without any success. To finish the mission I have to kill everything on my own... I´m not sure If this is not the same in the other missions where I´m the leader with a wingman...Any advices? Thanks.

I flew the mission today. A while after the first flyover and illumination I was asked for the second round, which I did. After that nothing. Su-25s on the way home. So I decided to fly home to Shpora, landed and mission success...So not a big deal, but also no very nice to have this radio silence (flying stable version).

Just to report, because I´think that I have the same problem like many people here: - DCS Mi-8 Spring Tension campaign, Mission 12 "Repairs" - Flying to the crash site with fuel onboard, land near the Mi-28 and waiting for the scripted progress (waiting while the engineers refuel the repaired Mi-28 on the crash site) - Some soldiers and one BVP around, suddenly the BVP exlodes and I´m asked to eliminate the enemy. - When I open the radio menu and hit F10 to reply, the game freezes for a second and then crashed to the desktop, usually with crashlog (but I think sometimes without it). - no mods - pagefile set manually to the 1024*16*1,5=24576 MB with no effect - not happening before the latest update (but before the update I was not flying exactly this mission...) Dutch supergroup Hail OF Bullets with members from other death metla legends Pestilence, Asphyx, Thanatos and marginally Bolt Thrower and Benediction. True oldschool production. Unfortunately the singer Martin van Drunen (with his very characteristic vocals) left the band in 2016. But the most interesting for you should be the lyrical themes of their albums: 1st album "...of frost and war": Operation Barbarossa - from German attack on the USSR to the Berlin capitulation 2nd album "On divine winds": Pacific - Mukden incident, Kamikaze etc. ending with capitulation of Japanese emperor 3nd album "III The Rommel chronicles" - I think the name says it all and on EP "Warsaw rising" - Warsaw rising Hope somebody will appreciate it... Thanks. Unfortunately there is some texture bug (near exhaust). But I saw it also on some other downloaded liveries after last updates. Some incompatibiity with last DCS:Mi-8 version? But now, as I see the real photo, it looks like it can be like that. But I´m nearly 100% sure, that other liveries are bugged. Also it looks like there is no texture at all instead texture with black surface. Image is little bit dark, sorry for that.

Hi, I haven´t found any thread where it´s been clearly explained. Question is: is it possible to assign the radio language (RUS/ENG) to each country? At first I thought that it depends just on the red/blue side, but that´s not true. I think that there should be some config file where it´s written which voices should be used by each country. Thank you.

Yeah, I think I saw F-86 start-up video on youtube where it was mentioned. So for Soviet and Czechoslovak DCS planes it is not vitally important. Thanks for answers!

I was also very pleased to see flying MiG-21 after 14 years. Last time I saw it was on SIAD 2002, where our (slovak) MiG-21 was the regular machine. I forgot the real sound of this beauty and was very excited this year that it is equally loud if not louder than twin-engined planes like MiG-29 or Su-27. *SIAD (Slovak International Air Display) - predecessor of SIAF (which is absolutely incomparable to SIAD). The biggest airshow in Slovakia (maybe bigger than Czech airshows) with great representation of West and East planes (50:50). 1992 - 2004...RIP

Hi, I´think the title says it all. My question is: Are there any possible situations in DCS where the ground power is necessary, since I´m able to start the engine without it? Same for L-39, MiG-21 and Mi-8 (haven´t played the other planes yet). Thanks!

Same here! After last update ailerons are not working. Stick in cockpit is moving but ailerons are dead. Elevator and rudder are fine.
