is aries free? can you use the built in mic on your webcam for those of us who dont have headsets?

I downloaded and installed some liveries from here but can't figure out how to select it before my flight.

Being so use to EZDOK camera from FSX/P3D and then using the camera system in DCS feels awkward, especially in the cockpit. is there any way to make the mouse view pan only if I hold down the middle mouse button? I hate how if I accidently touch or move my mouse, it will pan. I would like to have an option to enable the middle mouse button to hold down and then pan. Also would be nice if we can implement something like EZDOK into DCS. where we can set up different views and assigning them to different keyboard shortcuts.

Thanks for the explanation. Yes I'm getting quite bored with the civil flight sim like FSX/P3D/XPX. I think this is definitely will be the future of flight simming. I'm very excited about the future of DCS!

I plan on playing online with some friends, how many players does it support? Are there public servers or do we directly connect to whoever the host is? Are there any co-op modes for online play? And will we be able to create our own scenarios for online play?

I have been flight simming for awhile using FSX, P3D, and X-Plane, and just recently discovered DCS. I just started getting into it and it looks amazing. I'm happy to find out that it's 64-bit. I downloaded the free version from Steam which is 1.2.x, and tried it out and loved it and wanted more. So I went to DCS's official website and saw that they also offer 2 other versions. 1.5 beta and 2.0 open alpha. That's 3 versions of the same simulator. So which one should I get? I'm assuming the newest one because that's the only one that works with NTTR? Why so many different versions, that will confuse people. Just wanted to understand about DCS a little bit more.
