  1. There needs to be a slight glow around the edges, even with brightness down it's still chunky and thick.
  2. I'm aware of that already, but in its current state, i think it can be improved and made a bit more realistic. It just doesn't look real at all to me, while the rest of the cockpit looks amazing.
  3. I'm not sure if this is how it's suppose to be, but when using AIM9's. I hit the A/A button and I get a sound queue playing to signify if my target is in range and then fire the missile. But after this I cannot fire another missile until I hit the A/A button again. It's kind of frustrating. Could this be a potential bug?
  4. I would like to see what others have assigned there buttons to for the best experience with the F18C. Please post your setups. Maybe we can share them in this thread for other users to try as well.
  5. +1000 I thought I was the only one who thought the HUD was a thick, blurry mess. I am running at 4K and also have the exact same problem. How to fix this? The picture on the right with the thin lines and smaller fonts look much more realistic and better. The HUD now doesn't look cohesive with the rest of the cockpit making it stand out like a sore thumb. Cockpit is amazingly beautiful while the HUD looks awful in comparison. I hope there will be a fix for this soon. If we can make the HUD look like the ones modded by CODENAME_DH96 it would be awesome. You guys can check screenshots of his mod here - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/2627862/ Here's an actual HUD of the real F18C. It should look similar to this. It needs to be smaller, thinner, sharper and with a subtle glow effect around the edges.
  6. [ALREADY REPORTED] HUD looks out of place, lines and fonts way too thick I hope there will be an update to the HUD display. Everything else looks beautiful but the HUD elements are a bit too thick and looks out of place. It needs to be thinner and sharper. If this isn't going to be updated, is there a way the user or community can mod this ourselves, if so where are the files located so we can make the changes? There was a user in the mod community that did a real excellent job redoing the HUD's for the planes in DCS. I believe it was CODENAME_DH96. Hoping he can do the same for the F18C.

  8. funkyfrank, now that the Persian Gulf map is out. I would like to use your Vegas script and apply it to Dubai International Airport. I have it working, however I would like to tweak it to make it better. Right now I see planes parking at the gate reversed, how can I fix their position? Also, how can I add inbound AI traffic to Dubai International airport?   9. funkyfrank thanks for sharing your AI traffic script. I have a question though. For the line that says: b737:SetDestination("RAT Zone") How do I define this in the Mission Editor? Is there anything I need to do? Or does your script just automatically work? I know I have to create the 2 plane groups named RAT_B737 and B737 Outbound, but other than that, is there anything else?

  11. Is there some sort of list for all the valid RAT lua codes and functions that we can use somewhere? Would make scripting a bit easier if we had that information up front. and also any news of the Las Vegas AI traffic LUA to be released? I'm referring to the youtube demo video you had. Looks awesome and would be great if we can use it as a template.
  12. This isn't a good idea, because my save folder is on my C:/ drive which is my boot drive and I just have a small SSD on there mainly for the OS. I wish it could go into the game folder instead. ED should really give us an option on where to store the save folder inside the settings menu of DCS.

  14. I'm not a VR user, but I use TrackIR. I came across these 2 plugins and saw a few videos of it on YouTube and thought they were interesting. Would definitely seem to make it a bit more immersive when flying in a group with others. Will this plugin work for multiplayer also and do you guys think its worth it? I'm 50/50 on this and need some insight from others. If I will have to spend a lot of time tinkering with it then its a no go. I'm looking for something that will work with minimal setup or effort, pretty much out of the box.
  15. I fly mostly the planes in FC3 package, particularly the F15C and also have pre-ordered the F18C. I am using a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro flight stick, but I need help assigning the buttons. I'm not sure which buttons would be useful to assign to it. Can someone here post a chart or anything? I did some searching online and found 1 chart but it wasn't really clear to me on what some of the buttons were and how to use them. I want to assign the most used stuff to my HOTAS, so that I don't have to rely on the keyboard as much. Any help is appreciated.

  19. I downloaded the latest version of Civilian Aircraft Mod v0.77, and installed it, and it shows up fine under my Modules in DCS World 2.5.1, but I cannot seem to find any of these planes in the Mission Editor. Where exactly are they?
  20. funkyfranky, I just stumbled across RAT+CAM+MOOSE today, and I've been looking for something like this in DCS for quite awhile! I didn't know it was possible to have AI traffic! I am so glad to have found this thread. I have a few requests, will you add more aircrafts such as the Boeing 777, 787, and Airbus A321, A321, A330, A350 and more liveries as well? For some reason I cannot get it to spawn the AI planes from the Civilian Aircraft Mod. I'm in the mission editor, added a new flight group, and on the drop down list I selected USA and cannot see any B_737, B_747, etc entries at all. I know I installed the CAM mod successfully because it shows up under Modules. Is RAT included in the latest Moose.lua now? At the moment could you or someone here help me populate an airport? I have the Civilian Airplane Mod installed, and also Moose 2.3.0. How would I create a LUA script so that it will spawn random civilian AI planes at Batumi Airport on the Caucasus map? I'm not a scriptor so I'm not sure what I'm suppose to do. I'd appreciate it if somebody can walk me through this. Thanks!
  21. I also hope that ED addresses this issue so that we can have the RAT AI traffic addon working for DCS 2.5 and above. This is a very much needed as it makes things much more immersive, and flying in the skies won't be as lonely anymore. I would love to see civilian planes such as Boeing 737, 777, 747, 787, Airbus's and such take off at airports. Please fix this, so that the community can get this working.
  22. Will this plugin work straight out of the box for all vehicles and planes in DCS 2.5.x or do I have to spend a lot of time setting and configuring all my commands? I am looking for a plug n play type of deal where it'll just work. I use mostly FC3 modules and will be using this with the F18C Hornet when it comes out. Will this work?
  23. I would also like to use your profile for the xbox 360 controller? How can I load it into DCS World 2? I'm more of a casual flyer, and love DCS world, but the default settings are a pain.
  24. I'm not sure what's going on, but every time I attempt to take off with this plane down the runway, it will either steer right or left. I can't get it to go down the runway straight. Any ideas?
  25. I wanted to get this add-on but is this add-on strictly for ground vehicles only? Can I still fly and use the combined arms addon together to create some cool ground and air combat scenarios?
