  1. Both gpu and cpu mulyi-threading, and the ability to use google map to creat maps for FC3 would be most awesome!!
  2. How well does this built in 2D to 3D conversion work compared to nvidia 3DTV play? Anyone?
  3. Yesterday I saw some Samsung LED TVs with 2D to 3D conversion. I've been wondering if this sort of conversion works well with LOFC2 or DCS? If it does, it would be awesome!!! Has anybody tried this? The million-dollar-question is: how well does it work? Thanks.
  4. While we are still at it, I'd like to mention that multi-threading in cpu usage will a most welcomed feature, too. Come on, it's the 2nd decade of the 21st century. We can't stay in the 20th century forever.
  5. I for one would like to hear something official from the Ed team regarding sli/cfx compatibility of lo and Dcs series (maybe we can have a petition or sth?) . I am assembling my desktop right now. Having not decided which gpu to go with, I intend to buy a middle rang card (gtx570 or amd6970) for the best bang of bucks, and go sli/cfx by buying a second copy of the same card when prices go down. A confirmation that this will improve my gaming experience will most certainly reenforce my decision. Otherwise I would rather go with a copy of gtx580 or amd7950, both of which in my opinion are overly priced. By the way, lofc2 is the main game I play for the time-being. Looking forward to lofc3.
  6. I might try A10 in the DCS series in the future. The system you suggested is sufficient for the current version of DCS:A10?
  7. Hi EthereaIN, thanks for your quick reply. I am more concerned with the future releases in the LO series, since I do not plan to update the system very often. But since LOFC3 is not no where to be smelled yet, this might not be a valid question at this stage. I wish that the ED team will release enough information asap.
  8. Hi, I am building up my new gaming machine now, and wondering what kind of setup will be decent enough to run LOFC series at the highest setting, with FPS no lower than 30. I intend to play it on a single 42 inch LED TV (or something like that) at the standard resolution 1,920x1,080. Currently I run LOFC2 on macbook pro with 2.2 GHz core 2 duo cpu, 8600MGT with 128mb VR, and 4G of DDRII memory, at a setting in between low and medium, with fair smoothness most of the time, only occasional jump of frames. So, what do you guys think? I am more concerned with the future releases in the LO series. Thanks guys.
  9. Hi, interested in your card. Where are you located? What is currently the warranty status of the card? International warranty or not? Thanks.
  10. Thanks for all the great ideas. Will try them out.
  11. BTW, check this out: At 1:30, he clearly used some sort of instant zooming in on the HUD. This is repeated a number of times (eg at 2:36). He was flying LOFC2. What he did is exactly what I want... So Num5 does the job, right? I'll try it later...
  12. Thanks BrumTx and EtherealN. So I have the version 1.2. My problem is that, I accidentally unintalled the 1.2.1 patch. Now I want to reintall it, it thinks that the patch has already been installed... What should I do? I don't wish to unintall the whole thing and start all over again.
  13. A second question: How do you tell if you have LOFC2 or LOFC2 with 1.2.1 patch? Thanks again.
  14. Hi people. I remember in original LOMAC and LOFC1, I could assign a key for instant zooming in on the HUD. This is particularly helpful when I want to take a gun shot, which is restricted to the HUD area. But in LOFC2, I cannot find this option in the options manual. Can someone tell me the name of the particular option, please? Thanks a lot guys!
  15. Thanks... I don't actually know how to do it. But I do know this website http://www.notebookreview.com/default.asp?newsID=5846&review=how+to+upgrade+laptop+graphics+notebook I plan to learn it from scratch.
  16. You are of course right... Both of you. Using external graphics card for me is an excellent compromise for the moment. I do not wish to build a full desktop computer right now, but do wish to play LO under better qualities... Thanks for your suggestions anyway.
  17. Search for ViDock, or, even better, for DIY ViDock. You are welcome :D
  18. I use 3rd Generation Macbook Pro 15 inch to run LO series in Windows XP via Bootcamp. The specs of my computer are Model Name: MacBook Pro Processor Name: Intel Core 2 Duo Processor Speed: 2.2 GHz Number Of Processors: 1 Total Number Of Cores: 2 L2 Cache: 4 MB Memory: 4 GB Bus Speed: 800 MHz Chipset Model: GeForce 8600M GT PCIe Lane Width: x16 VRAM (Total): 128 MB Vendor: NVIDIA (0x10de) Currently I can run LOFC2 under Low to Medium quality fairly smoothly (only inspection. I didn't look at FPS). Very occasional jump of frame. Things get worse if there are two many planes. I found a way to connect desktop graphics card via the mPCIe slot built into my computer (vidock, or DIY vidock). But as a newbie, I am not 100% sure if this is gonna work. It could be that, instead of the graphics card, the CPU is limiting the performance. So, what do you guys think? Comment please. Thanks a lot.
  19. Of course ED are working on many improvements of LO and DCS series. Probably too many. The point of having a wish list is to tell the developers which aspects assume higher priorities in OUR minds...
  20. No harm giving guys in ED a push, letting them know what we (at least me and Mr. Demongornot. Who else?) are really looking forward to... Of course, they've already done a splendid job in creating LO and DCS series. But the advance of technologies does not wait...
  21. BTW, happy 2012 everybody!
  22. Please optimize for multiple-core CPUs. I am sure this will advance the gameplay qualities by vast amount. Since I play only the LO series, please at least do this for LOFC3 :D Thanks.
  23. Exactly. Thanks...
  24. It is LOFC, not Lock On Gold.
  25. I bought the CD version. I have checked both the CD and the box, could not find any serial number. I am in Singapore now.
