  1. CH Pro throttle works great with the MSFF2. I have a MSFF2 too and use it with the throttle sometimes. It is a really good stick, only problem is that MS no longer support it so no software to adjust the force settings and program the buttons. The X-52, especially the Pro version, looks really nice, but it is not as precise as the CH sticks, and after a few months pots may start to spike, happened to me and that's why I replaced them. CH Products are the opposite, may look ugly compared to Saitek, but function flawlessly.
  2. I had a X-52 non-pro before, but it stopped working so I replaced it with a complete set of CH fighterstick, pro throttle/pedals, and love it. You can mix and match with Saitek stuff, but you will not be able to use the control manager software to combine non-CH input devices, which could be a problem if the game you play only sees one controller device.
  3. Please explain why not then. And check out this, looks like Crysis aren't gonna benefit from having more than 2 cores either: http://blogs.pcworld.com/gameon/archives/005860.html
  4. I don't wanna see another one. I want fixed wing.
  5. Of course, for multi-tasking the more cores you have the better, but I'm talking about the game itself. If the game is not multi-threaded it won't run better on multi-cores, period. In fact, it may run slightly slower on a Intel non-native quad-core than on an equally clocked dual-core dual due to the additonal bus overhead and/or bad thread management in the OS.
  6. Wow, that's a nice mod.

  8. Q: Will DCS: Black Shark be Vista-compatible and take advantage of multi-core processors? A: The initial release of DCS will use a heavily modified version of our TFCSE simulation engine that will run Windows XP SP2 and Vista equally well using either DirectX 9 or DirectX 10. However, DCS versions based on the TFCSE engine will not take advantage of DirectX 10 unique features or multi-core processors. We plan however to provide such features in our new simulation engine that is currently in development for later versions of DCS.
  9. I doubt it. AMD is running out of cash in the bank right now. Has to borrow just to keep doors open let alone catch up with Intel.
  10. I use complete set CH Fighterstick + Pro throttle/pedals. The controller management software lets you combine all CH USB devices into one virtual input device, so they can be used with games that only support one controller.
  11. I built my current rig, a C2D X6800, 8800 GTX SLI, 4GB RAM, last December. Now, I'm ready for the 45nm quads. Too bad DCS will not benefit from multi-core, but Crysis will.
  12. I believe there will be a printed manual available for purchase. It's really hard to put a big manual into a small carton box or DVD keep case.
  13. Are they gonna stick to the "every 9 month" release schedule? If so, we might have to wait for 20 years to see some of the stuff added.
  14. Voted for F-14 and F-18, love to see the E and F Superhornets. In addition, I would like to see the F-22 Raptor, F-35 Lightning II, and Eurofighter Typhoon.
