  1. I'm not much of a helicopter guy, but a Little Bird option in the sim would be a TON of fun. It looks like a fun chopper to fly - nimble, lightweight, fast - and is a mainstay of the Special Operations forces in the US Military. From a tactical standpoint, this would be a great fleet addition next to the UH-1 and allow us to recreate the "I love the smell of napalm in the morning" scene from 'Apocalypse Now' with UH-1s, OH-6s, and F-5s! Just seems natural

It would be really great to see some of the older AI Aircraft models brought up to the current standard, examples being some of the larger jets like the B-52, Tu-95, C-17, and B-1, as well as some of the older cold-war fighters such as the MiG-23/27 and F-4E. Further, could we see aircraft that have been historically flown by certain countries be officially assigned to their correct coalition (e.g. the F-4E to the USA)? I have it modded in my game file, but I'm not sure how this would affect multi-player, and I'm sure I'll have to fix that in subsequent updates.
  5. Would be awesome to have paratroopers fall out of the back of a C-130 or C-17. Would be an interesting dynamic (and visually!) for mission development as well as on servers like BlueFlag, where players could call in a para-drop to take an airfield rather than just a helicopter insertion...
  6. Is this something you can do with aircraft/helicopters as well? I can't seem to find a "Visible Before Start" option for non-ground units. I'd like the world populated, but want to delay engine start for certain units until a trigger condition as been met.
  7. I'm trying to figure out how to use MOOSE to delay the engine start of an aircraft on the ground. For example, I have a row of fighters sitting on a ramp, and want two of them, either on an interval, or at random, start up, taxi out, and take off, but want them to be visible on the ramp before they start engines. Would I spawn them in without fuel, then at a certain time refuel them to be able to start up and taxi out? Would I spawn them in without a route, then on a timer, deactivate the unit then spawn a new unit in their place WITH an active route? I'm thinking something along the lines of how BlueFlag has alert fighters on the ramp at ready alert. Thanks in advance... This is a steep learning curve for me, but I'm getting some of the basics down.

  10. Awesome, thanks. I'm going through the MOOSE training videos now and trying not to cry from brain-hurt :huh: I know absolutely nothing about scripting, .lua, et al. so its a bit of a steep learning curve for me. I know what I want to accomplish, but its the path to get there that's a bit windy.
  11. I've been trying to use F-5s as Aggressor AI in some of my missions, but it seems they don't have the option to "Search and Engage" air-to-air targets. If its just one on one, with no other map objects, I can usually get them to engage, but many times they'll just fly around straight and level or try and land. Any ideas?

  15. I'd like to use the skins currently available for the USA AI F-5E across other countries (for aggressor purposes). How do I change the livery association from USA only to other countries (like RUS)? Thanks in advance
  16. Does anyone have a script or trigger set that allows AI aircraft to respawn on a timer or every time a player passes through a certain zone? I'm building a training map that has some aggressor aircraft players can fight against, and once defeated (AI or player) it would be great if the AI would respawn if the player flies through a specific trigger zone. I just don't know how to get AI to "respawn" Thanks in advance
  17. Can't wait to see the finished product. For what it's worth, I personally love the cracked and worn runways and ramos by T. Jacob. Will each airfield have their own bespoke texture (For example I would expect an international airport like Tiblisi to have a better maintained runway than a small military airfield like Gudauta)? Good luck!
  18. Yep, and its free, so I'm not complaining one bit. As I said, its an interesting problem to have to solve, so I'm curious how they will address it in the end...

    Well by the looks of the tail code that F-15 might have 99 problems, but an AMRAAM sure ain't one...
  20. I guess the thing to avoid would be for carrier-style takeoffs off surface runways. Its an interesting problem to have to try and solve.

  22. Can anyone help me figure out how to change the FOV of the F11 free-look camera for wide-angle and zoom shots? I can't seem to find the key-binding int he settings. Thanks in advance, Sport
  23. Another solution would be to see what the exact altitude of the aircraft carrier deck is, and say in a range +/- 10 feet, increase the power for that narrow band only. The chances of a land-based runway being at the same altitude are slim, I'd think.
