Guys I am learning this ILS / TACAN landing thing and need a little help. How do you know what the HSI course bearing should be? Konkussion states it is around 125 the training mission says 130. Does this course have anything to do with the number of the runway of something like that? I know only a few airfields have ILS in the sim but I would like to come back from a kick butt mission and be able to set up the pit to land ILS in bad weather or at night on any of the Fields that do have ILS. The main thing keeping me from doing this is not knowing what course to dial into the HIS Course window. Any help would be great but please give details ( I am slow). Thanks

I agree the training mission is good but I have done it 100 times and still did not know why I am turning the course knob the that course But the information that has been given in this thread (thanks) is helping answer that question.

Hi guys, I need help learning ILS landings. I have done the training mission many times and read the manual many times but I still don't understand a few things. 1. How do you know what the course needs to be set on the ADI? 2. How do TACAN and ILS work together, IE. 2. Batumi UGSB 41o36’58”N,41o35’31”E 131.0Mhz 38Y,110.15Mhz 16X, BTM. What does the red mean? Why 2 ILS frequencies? I have more questions but this would be a great start. Also just wondering if anyone has a good video or mission that explains all this in detail? thanks for any help.

Need help guys. I downloaded this mission and saved it in MP folder but when I try to start a sever it is not listed in the mp folder? Yes I unziped it. I can't even find it in the mission editor.

I think the manual is great. Only problem is trying to stay out of the pit long enough to read the whole thing.

Ya, I did all that. 5.1 works every place else except for in game. Just front left and right and bass. But in the GUI is hear the music in 5.1. Not sure what is causing this problem.

Banshee Thanks for the info. I have sound both in game and out of game (GUI) but in game sound is only 2d. Any idea why I have no sound on the back L/R channels?

Good day, Is anyone having trouble running the touchpal.exe in win7? Every time I try to start the .exe I get a error box that says some thing like " windows can not start this program ". Am I missing .net framwork or some thing like that? Thanks hendo97
