  1. Just a guess, did you forget to turn off nosewheel steering before 70kts?
  2. DCS:BS used lots of scripted, pre-recorded audio chatter in one of its campaigns. In DCS:WH, there is now dynamic audio chatter from all air assets, you just have to be tuned to their frequency to hear them. The capability for scripted audio is there as well, but I don't think any of the WH campaigns use it to the extent that that one campaign from BS did.
  3. When your HUD is providing the SPI, the SPI is determined by the TDC (a slewable square drawn on the HUD), not the gun reticle.
  4. In that case, the first reply to this thread by Viper contains your solution.
  5. Use the F10 radio menu when available.
  6. As Kankkis said, the steam release is already at the latest version. Also it's doubtful that the patches on this site would work against the Steam version even if that weren't the case.
  7. Not if you map your X-52 to match the configuration of the HOTAS in the real A-10C. Aforementioned configuration is diagrammed in the manual somewhere, I'd give you a page number but I don't have access to it at the moment. Anyway if you do it this way it's fairly quick (took me 20 minutes), and you can be sure that you have access to the same controls that the real life pilots do.
  8. Wait, so you've had this game since the beta, meaning you preordered it months ago, yet you're only now asking if you can play with a keyboard? Really? :)
  9. Just be aware, this mod causes the sim to crash when contacting JTAC in 1.1.0.7.
  10. Sounds like you're deploying speed brakes on your gun runs. With PAC this is a no-no. You should not have any noticeable pitch-up when firing with PAC enabled. EDIT: Woops, clearly should have read your post more carefully :). Not sure what it could be then, but something is certainly wrong. I get absolutely no pitch-up when using PAC.
  11. Blackshark is currently compatible with FC2, but I'm guessing it won't be after the A-10C compatibility patch. An A-10C compatibility patch for FC2 is a possibility in the future: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=67747
  12. You have to hold down the weapon release button for something like a full two seconds for JDAM's (GBU-31 and GBU-38 ).

    64bit?

You're wrong :). If you're installing on a 32bit OS, there is no option and only the 32bit executables are installed. If you're installing on a 64bit OS, the 64bit execuitables are installed no matter what, and you have the option of additionally installing the 32bit executables.
  14. He never said he was an A-10 pilot...
  15. Those were some of the best 45 seconds of my entire life.
  16. Right, because the F-18C doesn't have a radar. Wait, what?
  17. I don't think it's got anything to do with the smoke trails, especially since many modern missiles are smokeless. I think "missile plume" refers to the fire of the rocket motor:
  18. I disagree. Better to have an authentic cockpit model. But I agree with everyone else regarding the ME; it should all be based on the measurement system selected in options.
  19. You need to download the release version. The patches will not work on any beta version. The game stopped being beta as soon as it was released.
  20. I had the exact same system as you, except Windows 7 64bit, and I ran the game just ok during the beta days. The quick missions were usually 25-35 fps, but some of the bigger campaign missions were in the unplayable low 20's. However, I believe the game has been significantly optimize since the beta days. I can't say exactly how the game would run on your system because when it was released I upgraded to an Nvidia GTS 470 1.2gb. In case you're wondering, the game is now very smooth with settings mostly on high :D.
  21. I'll save Wags the trouble :D http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=67747
  22. I'd like to see higher level tactical stuff, more than procedural stuff. IE, fundamental combat tactics, wingman management and command, etc. That may be outside the scope of an instructional video, however. Another thing I'd like to see, which should be more practical, is emergency procedures (for probably a couple of the most common emergency scenarios).
  23. This was not the work of a sober mind.
  24. Nope, they definitely said it was going to be a fighter. It was in a separate statement that followed the "popular US fixed wing" announcement.
  25. What role does the F-18C play in the modern US Navy/Marines? Are they essentially just reserves for the first-tier Superhornets, or are they still a frontline platform?
