  1. Because nobody except you wants it. What also sets this server apart is not having every aircraft mixed. The only reason we have so many assets mixed in now is because people cry balance which is dumb. I like the idea.
  2. If it wasn't influenced on two sides (NATO v Russia) then why aren't the main fighters already mixed? You also have to consider gameplay. As it is now not being able to tell whether a Mirage spike is friendly or not is an annoyance, now imagine that with every fighter. F-5/Hog pilots would have to rely on a GCI to be on or unrealistically zoom their cameras to determine what ever side an aircraft is.

  6. Here's an interesting excerpt from the Harrier Boys book. (A really good read BTW) My understanding is that during the Gulf War, when the first targeting pods were ever being used, having the ARBS/DMT system equipped was a huge advantage for Harrier pilots since radar attacks were apparently less accurate and targeting pods were scarce and still undergoing testing.
  7. Hey Razbam, I really love the texture work that guys have done. I also love the weathering details that you guys have added onto the aircraft. It makes it look much more realistic. Keep up the good work! I hope you guys have planned to make the helmet covers in MARPAT and desert camo. That would be amazing!

  9. Any chance of adding more slots in other bases? Kutaisi is the only base with A10's and it's quite the flight to either fronts. Plus being out of fuel with no one flying UH-1's to refuel it sucks.

  12. I feel you man. It's really frustrating having to glue your eyes onto the monitor just to try to spot anything. As much as I love the A--10, this issue really ruins it for me.

  16. Maybe two rounds? One round with missiles & guns, and the second with just guns right after? Would be interesting.
  17. So Blue has Mi-8's because they can do 160 knots whilst the Huey is slower. Should we give REDFOR F-15's because it's 100+ knots faster than the Flanker? When do you stop mixing in modules before both teams have every asset shared. Can we go back to trying to stay realistic to a setting instead of compromising realism for "balance". Give the 27 it's datalink for a start.

  19. Sorry for assuming all Huey's were BLUE. (As they have always been). IFF was out of question since he was grounded and couldn't get a lock but that's just another excuse. :) Because your RvE buddy literally said he would and funnily enough I got shot right after by someone in friendly territory? I'm not, my original post was more making the point why having kill-messages re-enabled is important. Seems because I mentioned RvE, you and your boys have mounted the defensive. Wouldn't be the first time.
  20. Wow it's almost as if Huey's were suddenly added to RED and the SOP hasn't been updated. I would consider not getting so lana (say it backwards) about an accident especially during a testing round. To be fair, all DCS BVR vanilla missiles need a rework. I think 530's perform as they should, also keep in mind they can only carry two.
  21. I had my chat closed. I wasn't expecting REDFOR to have Huey's and with dark green camo at that. They're awfully similar to BLUEFOR's olive camo so it's hard to make the distinction. I don't know who thought it was a good idea to give both teams the same transport helicopters. Blue has Huey's, Red has a Mi-8's, why would you have to mix them? It just creates more trouble like this. You said you were going to vector friendlies to come and teamkill in me chat and right after I immediately get splashed near friendly territory. It doesn't seem far-fetched. My point is kill messages should be enabled so there's no suspicion. Unless the server enables data export or w/e Tacview is too much of a hassle.
  22. Since when does REDFOR get Huey's? Also please bring back kill messages as there's no way to tell what killed you. There's a chance I just deliberately got teamkilled by someone in RvE and there's no way of verifying that.
  23. Lag has been unbearable. Yesterday was lag spikes here and there. Today it's full blown. :(
