  1. Great event. Thanks to TAW for making it a good challenge. Looking at Tacview, 2h 44min saw TAW Physgun firing 2 x 120Cs at me. In the event his first 120C got me but Tacview shows it hit the ground far behind me. (Far being 100-200m.) Great work Physgun and good use of terrain when defensive, completely lost you on radar and I stayed hot too long. Nice job.
  2. Ok Raptorsim, I installed this mod to see what was going on. Then I tried to join 104th server. Basically you are failing the 104th Integrity Check because of the file that you may have put into the Shapes folder. This file: Forsag.edm. Install the "tech" folder into your Mods folder only. If you manually put Forsag.edm in to the Bazar/World/Shapes folder, it will fail out integrity check. Hopefully you have saved your originals before copy and replacing. If all else fails repair and start again. I kept getting Connection Interrupted myself until Forsag.edm was replaced with the original in Bazar/World/Shapes.
  3. Raptorsim, what username do you use to fly with? Is it just the 104th you can't get into or all servers?
  4. Username Jmosh is on our banned list. I take it that this is you. Please come on 104th Teamspeak to discuss or leave a post on our forums http://104thphoenix.com/ as these forums aren't the place to discuss it. Teamspeak address - 50.197.62.13 pw: phoenix
  5. Last screenshot looks great with all or most aircraft on ground. I'm wondering what sort of frames the guys at the rear were getting, looking out on all those aircraft. Glad it wasn't my computer, that's all i can say.
  6. Sounds exciting Pyromaniac, hope it goes well and they take it seriously.
  7. May I ask what are you going to be using for communication between all those flights? Just Teamspeak? Or Teamspeak with some added plugins like Aries? I have never used Aries. Used TARS, didn't much like it.
  8. Available for CAP. F15. 104th Highway
  9. "Keep quiet, nobody will notice" - Sometimes mistakes are made and we just have to go along with the rules.
  10. I think he means the OPFOR event. Which it errrr clearly was announced in multiple places.
  11. Thanks Flankerator. I like the new idea. I'm all for fairness.
  12. This is presuming tankers will actually work by then, then again maybe not.
  13. I don't design the missions in 104th, but i'm sure if that info is correct Case, then moving units might appear in future made 104th missions. Can't say for sure as i don't design them, so don't want to get peoples' hopes up. I know we have a solid stable server at the moment, with good player numbers, so I consider that more important than a moving column or two.
  14. Yes, having moving columns will cause DCS to crash im afraid. That's why they are left out.
  15. I recommend using Mustang's Enviromental Shader Mod. It not only reduces sun glare but also reduces the glare on mountains. Great mod, find it here: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=113374 As for FPS issues, this latest patch has an issue with Smart bombs causing fps issues. Try turning down the eye candy a bit too.
  16. Yeah, i can never connect to your server too. Also from UK.
  17. I can't talk much about the Huey, but I can talk about the KA-50. To answer your question, how do I avoid AAA in a KA-50? Like you do in any aircraft, with speed, maneuverability and terrain. However: KA-50 is a sniper's tool. It is not a "go in guns blazing" close to the target kind of machine. It's not built to take punishment like an A10 or SU25 either. It's used best when at a distance. Once you have found your targets, use the hover mode to get a good idea of what's out there and where everything is. Take your time and use your eyes to spot targets and identify what is what. If you do get a "Warning - Under Attack" audio warning, don't hang about, get out of there fast, go back a couple of kms and start again and try to figure out what you missed. You should be able to lock on to targets with Vikhr missiles around 7.2-7.5km away. That's far enough away from Strelas, Shilkas, BTRs to be out of their engagement zone. If you have to move forward, do it slowly. Again, take your time and use your eyes. Obviously use the Shkval, but don't solely use it. Always use HMS sight and turn on the Auto Turn button and Ground Target button. If you are engaging tanks, T55s and T90s, they will be able to shoot missiles at you from around 5km, so keep that in mind when moving closer. Personally I would stay at 7km until everything in range that is a threat is dead.
  18. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=34062 Take your pick from the Europe based squadrons here. How often can you fly? What times are you looking to fly? Which airframe do you intend to fly the most? That's quite a varied list of modules, that's why I ask. Do you have a HOTAS, TrackIR? Install Teamspeak 3 client software from here if you don't have it already. http://www.teamspeak.com/?page=downloads Start talking to different squadrons and see how you feel.
  19. I want a Hawk
  20. Any idea when the SA points conversion and SA rankings will be updated Flankerator?
  21. Official Callsign - 104th_Highway Nationality - British Chosen Aircraft - F15C
  22. Most of us "Senior" pilots are here to help new pilots, however it is advised that you know the very basics before going on a multiplayer server. How to start engines, brake, take off and land should be practiced in Single Player before joining Multiplayer. If you do mess up and lets face it, everyone does now and again, be respectful, apologize and learn from the mistake. Most common mistake is taking off from a taxiway and not a runway. Most servers disapprove of this.
  23. Great update, been looking forward to this one. :pilotfly:
  24. Yeah, since i posted just after you, and you had it correct, i edited it out. Just to clear up any confusion.
