Crav and me couldn't kill the glorious winner of that helicopter showdown, remember rule one :pilotfly:

Actually I'm using the datalink quite a bit lately, all those fighters can be overwhelming sometime.. Can't deny the fun seeing ETs blowing up unsuspecting fighters, or that HMS in combination with the 73s. :music_whistling:

Seeing how Su27 and Su33 players are choosing sides usually on OC, I'd say its perfectly fine with the AWACS and DL capabilities as they are. Numbers equal it out pretty good most of the time.

Try setting a curve to your pitch axis, otherwise let the mirage fly itself, that what it's best at. Minimal stick input usually is required to keep it level. The weather also is a big factor here, the jump to -25°C really had a huge positive influence on every plane in terms of maneuverability.

Well, it kind of would work if a FARP would be placed right next to a road, so you can stay on the road while rolling close to the FARP, as you will also be able to repair and rearm very close to that step onto the FARP.

100% exactly what grinds my gears, 1 minute ago... Poor guy was shot down in a medic 15 minutes before that too. Hiding, or how bluefor fighters would interpret it: Teamkilling guys spooling up, practicing refueling or formation flying.

More than once i have heard the reasoning that the SU33 is the best DCS module because missiles and flying so "nicely". It even spawns closer on OC, so thank you for that! Leave a carrier without slots near Gelendzhik for "experiments" please though

This is AWESOME news Mirk, really like your ideas! :) All those nifty scripts pave the way for a ton of interesting missions, which makes groundpounding so much fun on Open Conflict. Though one thing a few of us noticed is the increasing amount of fighters since the 104th is not online at the moment. Even if we go up in good numbers, it seems like you can't get a good window for safe groundpounding. Fighters always pour in the conflict zone, and it doesn't take really long to load up an SU33 and fly to the conflict zone. An idea that has been circulating in the teamspeak is to reduce the internal fuel of fighter slots, at least the ones of the SU33s, which are the same distance away from Tuapse as most groundpounders are. A10s for example will never need 100% internal fuel on Open Conflict, I am always defuling to 40-70%. Meanwhile, it takes about one minute to launch the SU33. I feel like the SU33s should spawn dry to balance out things a bit more, reduce the ongoing airquake and make a player think twice before dumping their plane instead of flying back to base. Wouldn't mind Su27 and F15s spawning without full fuel either, it would surely make groundpounding inside the conflict zone more fun, since it's becoming increasingly more difficult to stay alive for airplanes without a dozen missiles.

Was one of the best laughs I've had on OC though

Kids, don't play with IEDs if you can't tell the difference between the F-Keys :megalol: Check the chatlog

Seems like you're making the datalinkers upset cosmic, found this on reddit!:megalol: https://de.reddit.com/r/hoggit/comments/5dlmj5/su_27_struggle Bad censoring job there

Don't really know how to put today on OC into words, you might have gotten a glimpse there Mirk when you came online shortly. Got a lot of screenshots though, enjoy :) http://imgur.com/a/Ikn1b

Teamspeak server wasn't down, we were on it for a couple of hours. Also, besides one crash I think it was great fun on OC tonight :) We used quite a variety of weapons to blow each other up... :megalol:

I don't come for free :)

Hey Mirk, other servers are running pretty smooth again after yesterdays cluster****. Would it be worth a try for OC today too? :)
-
YOURE THE BEST MIRK! THANKS!

Hey Mirk, it appears that the server lost master connection, and it's still about three hours to restart. :helpsmilie: For the rather short time i was able to experience the weather for now, I can only say that it's absolutely amazing, and it's also nice to be able to start the Dora in one try now  Would be much appreciated if you could restart it so I can try out more stuff!

Figured to post some of the screenshots that i collected over the time we got this windy winter wonderland :) So much fun in so many different missions  Enjoy :) http://imgur.com/a/Hdsiz

Sadly no IP connect when it's not in the lobby. The serverbrowser automatically saves the last IP connected to in the IP connet button.

Yeah I also think it's a great idea if there are good triggers for freezing/unfreezing respawn. Not having this switch on and off in a few minutes will be the challenge as you said. One trigger could be the "Your team has an advantage/disadvantage" message in the conflict zone status menu, but I also could imagine having a vote about ít with a chat command.

Awesome! Gonna test it thoroughly :pilotfly:

Open Conflict - Winter Wonderland It was a quiet and peaceful morning on OC, perfect for some fast deliveries! Unexpectedly, I managed to takeoff and land at the first try and first flight of the day, some time gotta be the first time I guess. The green smoke was odd though, never had it before in an express delivery aircraft. F10 and a look above me revealed why someone popped smoke. He was flying a very wide and slow approach though, so I shut down my engine and waited. Don't know if he just picked up the pilots or just flew around, but he sadly didn't bring the ammunition this place still needed. After standing around for five minutes he then took off, so I did the same. Gears and flaps up, no problems, so I looked at the Mi-8 traveling away in the other direction. At this point I thought that my sound bugged out, because I could not hear any engine sounds as soon as I turned my head. Nope, looking to the front again I noticed that my propeller stopped turning, and stood still in mid air. :helpsmilie: The inevitable crash followed too fast to take screenshots, and ended up killing the pilot. It would be nice to know what caused this, maybe shutting off the engine, maybe the cold air, maybe Barthek. :music_whistling: The beautiful mission, objectives, and weather make this server a ton of fun to play, and I hope that my bushpilot wingman NASA will be back soon, so he also can enjoy it. :) Have you thought about bringing back dynamic weather to OC Mirk? Now that it has been gone for a while I really start to miss having tricky landings in multiplayer. :pilotfly: Sure, unexpected crosswind can really mess with your plane, but only because you're not anticipating it. :smartass: See you guys on the weekend hopefully

Oh boy that sounds like a great update! I'll be curious how the Floggers will turn out, and also SMO Safehouse is now forbidden for helicopters!

More screenshots of some more or less successful missions this evening :pilotfly:

Prop party ongoing! Heading for the next transport objective now, we might have a couple requests soon :)
