  1. I've been wanting to slightly modify this mission to spread out the spawns of ground units and move some tasks up near anapa and krymsk. But i can not figure our where the zone screen pulls the co-ordinates from.
  2. ooh, you're right. well what if we assume non-super variants then? if prices drop significantly I might go for a non-super
  3. I'm looking at upgrading my PC in the next month or so, will likely wait to see what the super cards look like, but if price ratios are about the same, my question doesn't really change much. What would be more beneficial in DCS? I play about 50/50 between SP and MP 6GB VRAM with 32GB System RAM or 8GB VRAM with 16GB System RAM? Keeping in mind that i play at 1080p 60fps and not interested in getting into VR.
  4. I've been thinking of picking up the Normandy map for quite some time for a change of scenery. however i keep seeing people saying that it's incomplete and the performance is not great. Is this still the case? i'm well aware that it's incomplete but i'm wanting to know what kind of performance hit to expect (which seems to be because of the trees). currently without v-sync on, im able to achieve around 90-100fps in Caucasus with my settings., sometimes dropping under 60 momentarily when rapidly looking around in forested areas System specs that matter i5 7600k @ 4.5Ghz (OC) 16Gb ram GTX 1060 6Gb installed on SSD Is it worth it to pick up? i don't intend to fly it in MP so servers dont matter, or should i wait for an update?
  5. I have been able to hit things from 12nm away a few days ago.
  6. Reports over on Hoggit about it too. Guess i'm not doing the update yet then.
  7. Just getting back into DCS again and trying to catch up on all the updates since last time i flew, I was going through the updated thread and saw this in the notes "Laser code input updated" does this now mean that we can use our own custom laser codes or are we still restricted to 1111 or 1688 and just the way the laser code is physically put into the UFC was updated?
  8. No. you cant complain about DCS not being realistic for (reason) and then turn around and say that we should keep non-service weapons, because of "freedom"
  9. I mainly flew MP on the TTi maps but recently am discovering the fun of singleplayer again and making my own missions. I remember quite a while ago there was a way to get AI wingmen to join you on flights but i have not been able to figure out how to do this. this it still possible to do this and if so, how?
  10. I've looking at getting 2 small monitors to use as MFD exports which and plan to attach the cougar MFD controllers to. The most popular brand seems to be Lilliput. However they are quite expensive in my country and shipping from the US makes it worse. Does anyone just use generic/unbranded monitors or are there cheaper alternatives to Lilliput? i would love to get 1 large monitor and just attach the MFDs to it, but my desk space is hurting at the moment.
  11. It's likely not modelled yet. All the display brightness knobs just change the display from off to on at the moment. Might be implemented later
  12. even will all your responsibilities IRL, you still somehow find time to make these. you are a gentleman and a scholar
  13. a cheaper alternative, if you have a smart phone or tablet is Roccat Powergrid. basically the same thing and much easier to use
  14. I've recently been flying the Harrier, it's now my favourite module and have been trying to create a night mission since, you know, it's the night attack variant. but have been trying to find if it's even possible to have moonlight at night. everything that I've tested so far has just been pitch black. I run night missions with gamma at 2.2 but doesn't really help much and if i put it higher it just looks terrible. Is it possible in 2.5 currently? i know there are issues with the lights from building and stars being barely visible at the moment, so i'm assuming this would fall into the same category?
