  1. I am having this same issue, glad to know it is not just me.
  2. No, they will be different. The turning force (torque) due to some force acting about an axis is equal to the force (or at least, the component of the force acting perpendicular) multiplied by the distance of the force from the axis. In this case the axis of rotation is the centreline of the aircraft, and the force is the weight of the bomb. Since both bombs have the same weight, but are at different distances, they will have a different torque.
  3. I played through the first mission, very good! I learned a few new things especially regarding the startup order rather than just doing things as I think of them :P. I also enjoyed the style of radio chatter both with the wingman and ATC. I spotted a couple of bugs which have probably already been mentioned, namely the speedbrakes not stopping during the emergency retract test (which I understand is an ED issue), I've never noticed that before since I've never gone near that switch before, the black and yellow warning stripes scare me too much :P. There was also some confusion over the radio frequencies which I think has been mentioned already. An excellent mission and I look forward to the rest of it! P.S. this is also the first time I've gone near the transponder/IFF, since I know it is non-functional in DCS. Does anyone happen to know if there are plans to make it functional? I know ED are planning a big update to ATC...
  4. Hey, How will this fit in with the basic/advanced flight training qualifications? Does it cover much the same stuff? More advanced/less advanced?
  5. Hi everyone, I'm more or less a complete newb this; I only recently completed the first (easy) instant action mission. Doing so raised the following question regarding tracking a moving target. During the attacking a moving convoy part, the JTAC gave target location info and I set this point as my SPI and got a good look at the convoy through the TGP. All fine. But, and this always happens to me after completing an attack run and climbing/banking away, the aircraft got in the way of the TGP so I could no longer see/track the convoy, and I had to slew the camera up and down the road until eventually finding them again. After several itterations of this, I was eventually able to hit all the target but I feel there should be an easier way to keep track of targets like this which I am unaware of. Thanks!
