There are a couple of ways but the easiest is SkateZilla's utility: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=160053 Also see here: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3488954#post3488954

There was post on the forum (i can't find it now :P ) saying that sometimes a black block appears on the HUD playback whenever a weapon release button is pressed. It looks like something is being censored but is in fact just to let someone watching the recording know a weapon release was commanded.

Is there any point in having vsync off? Surely having a frame rate higher than your monitor refresh rate is redundant.

A flare takes up two slots, a chaff bundle only takes one. There are 120 countermeasures 'slots', flares take up two slots and chaff bundles take up one. So if you only loaded chaff you could have up to 120 and if you only loaded flares you could have up to 60. Go to 4:05 or thereabouts.

2.5 Open Beta vs 2.5 stable version
The Integrator replied to Valium's topic in Installation Problems
Yes, you need to put .\ before what you would put in CMD. If you're using PowerShell put .\ beforehand, i.e. .\DCS_updater.exe update @release (or@openbeta or whatever you want) I downloaded that just now and it is working as I type this, it seems to be doing the right thing  -
2.5 Open Beta vs 2.5 stable version
The Integrator replied to Valium's topic in Installation Problems
Hey, I am trying to switch from 2.5 beta to 2.5 stable. I have tried using the suggested command in CMD (or rather PowerShell) from the bin folder, however as you can see in the attached image I only get the message that the current version (which I'm fairly sure is the beta) is up to date. My DCS main screen says I am running version 2.5.1.16543. Any ideas? -

Muh nostalgia. You will be missed...sweet prince  -
I have a question about piloting the A-10C (or anything else for that matter) IRL. In DCS, when someone rattles off a radio message at me with some target info I quickly scribble the info down with a pen and paper before copying it into the CDU. This is especially useful if I'm not given prior warning that I'm about to be sent target info so I don't have time to setup the CDU (e.g. create a new waypoint etc) beforehand. Do pilots IRL have a notepad and pen to mark things like this down? If not then I'll stop doing it :P

I did it again recently and in addition to the SA9 and the bunkers I destroyed the two machine gun emplacements inside the main camp (and all of the infantry in the process). I looked on TacView and by the time Uzi arrived there were only 3 enemy jeeps left, and by the time I landed back at Kobuleti Uzi had completely cleared the camp, yet the campaign still does not progress.

For what it's worth, I recently did some gun runs against T-55s. Of the three tanks there, I only got one of them with the gun before getting fed up and putting Mavericks into the other two :P TacView shows the vast majority of my rounds hit on the rear quarter using a dive angle of 30-35 degrees (that could do with being a touch steeper but it should get the job done)

Hey, This sounds similar to a problem I've been having recently. DCS will just freeze up completely, although it doesn't completely crash it just freezes for an undetermined amount of time (as in, I left it for a while and it didn't unfreeze so I closed DCS via task manager ;) ). I first noticed it during a campaign mission, then I tried some instant action missions and it happened there as well (it appears to happen after a shorter amount of time in the instant action missions but I haven't tested it enough times to be sure) Setup: Windows 10 64 bit i7-8700k 16GB DDR4 GTX 970 DCS is installed on its very own SSD (maybe it is lonely?) There is no crash log since the game does not crash, it just freezes. Regular (not crash) DCS log (I can't get the DCS log to upload properly so I'll copy it here): At the bottom it says 2018-03-03 12:58:43.608 INFO TACVIEW.DLL: DCS World simulation is taking 98.5% of CPU 2018-03-03 12:58:43.608 INFO TACVIEW.DLL: DCS GetWorldObjects is taking 1.0% of CPU 2018-03-03 12:58:43.608 INFO TACVIEW.DLL: Tacview recorder is taking 0.5% of Does this imply that 100% of the CPU is being used? Surely this is not the case and if it is, it should not be...right? I noticed a lot of error messages in the log but that appears to be fairly common and nobody seems to be worried about it so I guess that's normal Update: I flew a mission without having Google Chrome open and I made it thought the whole mission, although it had one iffy moment where it froze for a few seconds. I have had Chrome open in the past with no issues. Especially noting that Chrome is a notorious memory hog, could this be related to the memory leak issue? Of course this was only one mission so it might not be related, but I thought it was worth noting.
