  1. Mr. PeterP, i need your help with my config. I have 1 X 24" running 1920*1080 main monitor 2 X 7" running 1024*768 ea (MFCD`s exported on these My previous setup was having the main monitor on the left, then the 2 smaller just right of it, like so: I had this set up working, withouth SoftTh, bu with below average FPS. I figured that if I change my setup like so: By doing so, I reduce the rendering area, and by using SoftTh I can go full screen: I could probably gain some frames back. I tried this for my lua: _ = function(p) return p; end; name = _('MFCD Softh'); Description = 'Left MFCD on the left monitor,Right MFCD on the right and camera on the center' Viewports = { Center = { x = 0; y = 0; width = 1920; height = 1080; viewDx = 0; viewDy = 0; aspect = 1.10822511; } } LEFT_MFCD = { x = 0; y = 1080; width = 680; height = 675; } RIGHT_MFCD = { x = 1024; 1368 y = 1080; width = 680; height = 675; } UIMainView = Viewports.Center SoftTH config: [main] renderResolution=2048x1848 nonlocalFormat=RGB16D keepComposition=0 smoothing=1 debugD3D=0 zClear=1 vsync=0 tripleBuffer=0 screenshotFormat=jpg dllPathD3D9=auto dllPathDXGI=auto dllPathD3D11=auto [overrides] forceResolution=0 antialiasing=0 processAffinity=0 FOVForceHorizontal=0 FOVForceVertical=0 [debug] compatibleIB=0 compatibleTex=0 compatibleVB=0 enableVBQuirk=0 [head_primary] sourceRect=0,0,1920,1080 screenMode=1920x1080 [head_1] ; Autodetected as \\.\DISPLAY2 at AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series devID=1 sourceRect=0,1080,1024,768 transportResolution=1024x768 transportMethod=auto noSync=0 fpsLimit=0 [head_2] ; Autodetected as \\.\DISPLAY3 at AMD Radeon HD 6900 Series devID=2 sourceRect=1024,1080,1024,768 transportResolution=1024x768 transportMethod=auto noSync=0 fpsLimit=0 My in game settings: Resolution set to 2048 X 1848 aspect of 1.108225... I end with about 128 pixels missing on the right hand side of the main. My RMCFD is not where it should be. It is supposed to be more right. (IAW my plan anyways...) here is a screenshot, kind of hard to see, it`s a little dark Thoughts??? EDIT: Ok figured out part of the issue here. The X coord of my RMCD was wrong. Corrected in red. my main still looks a little "chubby". I'm missing the lower portion of the main, which is displayed on the top of both smaller screens. ??!!!

  3. I had a G940 and was very disappointed. I could not get some bindings to work, especially the hats. The center slop was a major point for me. I tried for 3-4 to set it up to the way i wanted to be, I never managed. At the end, I didn't have any fun playing on line, as my setup was never right, and was spending most of my time leaving the mission to fiddle with the controllers. I was about just to let go and was extremely frustrated. I didn't like the rudder either, I found the pedals too close together, and there was something on that pot that wasn't just right, some spiking and a lack of smoothness. At the end, I put my G940 on eBay, and bought a TM Warthog and a set of Saitek rudder pedals. What a difference!!! The setup is mostly plug and play. tweak the axis a little bit, assign the trim on the POV hat (if you have a TIR) and your done! *This is purely my opinion based on my past experience. Logitech have some really good products out there, I have a G15 keyboard 1st gen, a gaming headset, and a 30$ racing wheel that I have been using for 10+ years. I will certainly buy other Logitech products in the future. But the G940 did not cut it for me.
  4. Have a look at this: http://www.autohotkey.com/forum/topic60393.html Not sure if this would work for you....
  5. Sorry to hear that!! HIDMacro worked for me in BS1, and also in A10C. I used it with 2 x numpad to act as a UFC. It worked but had to remove some assignments in-game, mainly the view one. No biggy when using TIR though. Was a bit painful, but I managed to see which in-game assignments was interfering with HIDMacros. But I made it work at the end. Pitbull
  6. Have a look at http://www.hidmacros.eu/. You can plug as many keyboards you want, and assign keystrokes / macros in HID Macros. DCS will see those macros and react accordingly. Pit
  7. Thanks for the explanation!!! I guess it does make sense, sadly. No I know that I didn't do it wrong ;o) cheers!! pitbull
  8. I don't mean to hijack this post, but i'm trying to figure out how to use TARS and Radio Menus on the MIC switch. What I did is create a modifier using the paddle switch of the Warthog. I then assign Paddle + Mic switch FWD for AM, DOWN for UHF and AFT for FM. The commands are picked up by the sim no problem. In TARS I assigned keystrokes that are not used by the sim for the MIC FWD, Down and AFT. I configured Joy To Key with same keystrokes. SO if I do Paddle + Mic FWD, I have the AM menu in game. If do Mic FWD, I transmit on the AM radio no problem. The only issue I have is when I use the modifier, TARS transmit on whatever radio i'm trying to select. The same as if I was doing a TARS Tx. It`s only for a split second mind you, it doesn't bother me, but it could potentially annoy the squad mates though. Any ideas?
  9. Hi Niclas. I received the board last week. It looks very professional, flawless! Can't wait to try it! regards, Pitbull
  10. +1 to the above 2 posts. best HOTAS on the market right IMHO.
  11. DCS A-10C indeed it is. Sorry should have been more specific.. ;o) I'm still at the pre-planning stage at this point, and I have a pretty good idea what to use, controller card is in the panel, I have a few panels don by Pitbuilder, still have to order a phidget for the leds, the switches and rotaries, knobs (deadman). I will be using Dimebugs plan. Helios with an LCD for the gauges.. I pretty much know where i'm going, excpet for the radio stacks....
  12. that is lots of info!!! this should improve my knowledge level if I can pull something like that!
  13. Guys quick q here. I'm still soaking up ideas on how to make my pit... and was wondering how you are integrating radios in your pit. I would like to know how you are displaying the Freqs? small monitor on the left console? knobs and switch were they should be but info displayed somewhere else? Anyone using VFD or something similar? I guess same goes for the ILS and TCN display. your thoughts ideas? Pitbull
  14. Great news! I'll patch tonight.
  15. What exactly do you mean by script? are talking about the .lua in config/monitorconfig?
  16. Beauty... I'm no guitar player.. too many strings. I totally love my Fender JazzBass Mex. with US pick-ups. 4 strings is more than enough for me ;o)
  17. Agreed. X-52 is good bang for the bucks. I owned an X-36, an X-45 et a 52. all of the 3 were great hotas for the price. I stil have my 52 around somewhere, but the throttle is modded with a collective lever for rotary AC. I keep it just in case something come up helo wise. Also had a G940 but sold it within a month. I'll leave at that.... Botton line: X-52 would serve you well.
  18. Sorry for your loss. I'm a father of 2 and I can't imagine what you must be going through. Already have a Warthog; just wanted to drop a line. pitbull
  19. Great news!!!!!
  20. I used the hat functions too when I wired up my UFC, works fine. My work is not as clean has yours... I soldered out my 6x6 matrix using only the switches and wires.... it`s works great but looks like hell! :) Is your master caution led driven by a phidget card? and Helios?
  21. Tulsa, i'm following your thread and progress closely! I' will be going down that road in the new year. Right now, i'm gathering ideas and some equipment to start my build sometime in january. keep us informed!! pitbull
