That's really interesting to hear the A-7 survived that environment better. What specific tactics or sensors lead to fewer A-7 losses ?

I play the majoirty of my time online, and usually have no issues. If the weather is bad, rain etc my frames will drop. The other issue are cities, i try to avoid them. But usually these issues aside, it works great online.

From a purely esthetic stand point, I personally prefer the way the Draken looks better. However, from a DCS perspective, Viggen all the way!

My 2 cents. For shear immersion factor alone I can't stop playing DCS with my vive. The other day I was playing online, and right when I spawned at the airfield it was under attack. Friendly SAMS were launching, AAA was going off, and another player did a strafing run while I sat there trying to power up my A-10A. It was easily one of the coolest experiences i've ever had playing video games, seriously I can't speak enough on how different it felt to actually be sitting in an A-10 cockpit while all hell broke lose around me.:pilotfly:: Now the cons are legit, you have to lean in close to read the gauges correctly, the HUD can be tricky to read, and forget about spotting an airplane in the distance, you get visuals on them till they are much too close. But I don't care, the immersion alone means I simply can't play DCS any other way these days. Note: I have been sticking to FC3 aircraft so far, but I plan to get back into the Black Shark on my next weekend :) Bonus: The head mounted sight mode on the Russian aircraft are AMAZING when using an HMD:thumbup:

Yes a thousand times yes! Easy day one purchase.

Can you imagine the U.S. Navy with 500 Super Tomcat's right now instead of Rhinos... More range, payload, and capability. Granted the costs of the Tomcat were a lot higher, and that's probably a big reason why the U.S. Navy went with the safer option.

I realllllly hope they do include it if possible. Having a LANTIRN pod will really increase the fun of the F-14b. F-14 is already a first day purchase for me, but having a LANTIRN pod also? Leatherneck just include a "tips" section in your checkout

Ya I think people may be getting ahead of themselves with all the hypothetical weapon configations on the F-14. There is a lot of room under that fuselage I know, but i think they should just stick to reality.

It is a little concerning that after announcing the F-14, they then put it on the back burner and focus on other projects. Don't get me wrong, i'm looking forward to a possible Viggen, but not if it means I'll have to wait even longer for the Tomcat. Their website stills says they hope to have the F-14 in beta around the first half of 2016. If they are trying to knock out these other two projects I doubt they'll stick to that calendar.

F-111, SU-24 or A-6, any one of those three please.

F-14B with a LANTIRN pod! Having multirole capability is going to mean limitless hours we can sink into this plane.. Can't wait!

I still maintain SU-24M, A-6, or F-111. I would gladly take any of these aircraft. Someone earlier mentioned a Viggen, in which I would recommence with the squealing and giggling.
