  1. Actually aside changing it in DCS settings (in main menu) you can also change it in game. I think shortcut for it is left alt+ Y. Unfortunately u cant change the metric/imperial during game...
  2. Heh, I used friendly JTAC and BAD toss bombing in M2000C and yes. Its great fun :P
  3. I think NCTR works in M2k by counting blades in Engine intake, so it need to see it (Head on only) to be able to do it
  4. Bug is still present...
  5. I guess you just use "empty.dds" in all tail # spaces
  6. Well I think they pomp fuel to engines. Engine with fuel is happy engine ;)
  7. Tomi read the my previous post
  8. Ehm, did you try just "\" backslash? Did you turn radios on? Or are there dashed lines in the current frequencies screen?
  9. well button cover closed (but it doesnt really do anything just for safety not to press it by mistake) and starter switch to off (first one to right from start engine button)

    Missiles range

Well airspeed is recorded by measuring the air pressure in pitot tube. At 30k feet there is less air than at 0 feet. So obviously Indicated Air Speed would be lower. Thats why when flying at high alts you should pay attention to Mach speed on HUD or even better set your INS parameter to TR/VS which shows you in INS: Left field ETA to next waypoint in minutes and in right field Ground Speed. So speed in relation to ground another thing, Well M2000C is pure 80s fighter and it should fight flankers and eagles in 80s setting (Aim7s/R27Rs/R27Ts) or even better MiG29As. It clearly little outdated in 90s settings with amraams

    Missiles range

hmm Boom and Zoom a in missile edge? I am not sure about its efficiency, especially against AIM 120s... Besides I think you need to be higher or lower than 30k Feet as you will most probably contrail and everything in 20 miles should easily spot you even using Mk I eyeballs. Well it may work in 104th where its easy to be distracted, but personally I would fly higher or lower contrail

    Missiles range

yeah, but kill messages appears in chat itself as well. If server is like 104th then whole chat scrolls very fast and player actual message may be lost in clutter.

LoL what, using mig21 against F15? Yeah sure you are at disadvantage. Its whole generation of difference. I was talking about Cold War servers MiG21 vs F5s :P

    Missiles

I like R3R as its seem as only reliable missile with head on capability. And it scares the shit out of target making it much harder for them to shoot at you

IN openconflict it should work fine, You can switch between TEAM or ALL channels. Remember not everyone is reading the chat as it can clutter quite easily with all those kill messages. I guess you need to spam chat, or even better join public TeamSpeak server or hop on Simple Radio
  17. Something wrong with Gazelle flight model?
  18. In HOTAS category, there is Main VUHF radio select and Aux. UHF radio select options. Use those to switch between radio menus ("") for VUHF and UHF. I use LCtrl + Hat on stick up/down.
  19. +1 hear hear
  20. I think only thing implemented is "N" on the VTB switches. Which set one of INS waypoints as Radar Bullseye, giving you range and bearing of the radar cursor from that waypoint
  21. Triangle? Is that even implemented? I heard when radar and magic are locking same target then Triangle instead of square should appear on target. But i never saw it in game, only on early M2k playtests (like 2 years ago)
  22. Tone means that missile seeker got a lock and its ready to fly at target. However it cannot judge range so it doesnt know if its able to reach target or not. Thats why laser finders and radar come to play. Its very important with planes who got IR missile only with no radar, like A10. There u need to judge distance yourself For magic, Radar provides range to target (TIR when in range) and it can also slew magic seeker to radar lock (HOTAS key). you need to slew manually (pressing button), its not automatic. Also Magic slew button got other uses as well, like CCRP bombing or INS calibrations, so its quite important. Hotas key also have unlock Magic lock. Remeber that for current version of Mirage Magic seeker is looking at gun cross and not through TIR circle. So you may have radar lock on Bandit but if your wingman goes through your Guncross then Magic will lock on friendly. Sometimes even though radar tells you TIR, be aware that magic may run out of juice when chasing high speed bandit who is running away from you. I would wait until I am half range. And to your last question, well principle of missile combat is same to every missile (Physics is same to everyone). When firing head on missile has less to travel so it got more energy to use to turn. However when firing at hostile 6 then missile have lock on hot engine so its harder to break its lock. Magic II is very maneuverable missile, I would say on par with R73 (more maneuverable then aim9), but its burn time is really short, therefore its range is short, and thats its biggest drawback.
  23. Mirage Pilots' Wet Dream...
  24. As said before, Auto pilot standby. You can map that and double tap for trim reset
  25. If You press PREP twice then current DEST waypoint would be selected on PREP as well. Same works other way around. If you press DEST twice then Current PREP waypoint would be selected in DEST.
