  1. somehow I was able to get it to work after giving it my last shot. Time to relearn this thing because its been a LOOOOOOOOOOOOOONG time
  2. "Unable to deactivate the product license due to integrity fault of the Activation Key. Only valid licenses can be deactivated." Honestly no matter what I do in regards to deactivating the MiG through pcnsl.exe I always end up at a dead end, the same message. Honestly I'm done trying to figure this out, the MiG-21 was fun while it lasted, there goes 50-60 bucks. and yes I saw Zaelu's post
  3. hmmm... Ok so nobody cares. Cool
  4. I'm curious, has anyone made a recommendation to the devs regarding creating an In-game radio communications environment? Instead of having to use TS or a TS based system like SimpleRadio, It would be cool to have a closed server-based system embedded in DCS itself with no 3rd party software required, to allow smooth and realistic aircraft communications between players on the same frequency and perhaps set the foundation for something bigger. In the future once the foundation is set it would be cool to begin integrating the player to AI voice communications system, like perhaps communicating with AI wingmen, AI JTAC's/Ground Elements or Airports/Fields by just saying whats in the drop down menu. Of course the priority at first would be placed on player based comms as you wouldn't need to develop any speech recognition software for that. I think having a legitimate and fully functional communication's system in the game is what will finally create that shroud of immersion around the player. It would be cool to one day talk to your player wingman, then order your AI wingman to rejoin before requesting tasking by the AI JTAC, all by using in game radio without ever having to hit the F1-F12 keys and instead using your radios and HOTAS. Having a more in depth ATC system would complement the system. With ground and air frequencies and legitimate taxii instructions and whatnot. Of course this feature could be enabled/disabled by different servers depending on the host and it would encourage more players to learn radios and the radio communications procedures, not to mention the positive impact on maintaining a positive, professional community in-game. and yes I would agree with keeping text based game chat in game, at the server host's discretion. I understand I'm asking for alot but I really do think it would drastically improve the simulation environment! Thank you! :pilotfly:
  5. Hi everyone! :v: I've been away from the world of DCS for quite a while, I haven't had much of a chance to play recently and I tried to take the MiG-21 for a spin and it required reactivation. So naturally, I typed the code in and attempted the reactivation to no avail. I've been seeing all the starforce patch threads on the Magnitude 3, MiG-21 section but the latest patch they have was April or march 2017. It's late July now, is there any way to reclaim my access to the MiG-21? Is their a starforce patch underway for August? Any help is appreciated. PS: In addition, I won't be able to try any methods of repair until later this week as I gutted and cleaned my PC in preparation for some new goodies. It is currently unusable at the moment. I'm just trying to gather a general consensus on how I should approach this problem.
  6. i5 4670K or i7 4770K are good overclocking choices for the socket (LGA1150) you're running
  7. Good luck man! Looking forward to it
  8. It's a pretty good build tbh. Personally i'd suggest keeping it elsewhere for online use like you suggested instead of selling it quite yet. You can try selling on Amazon or Ebay, But selling gaming PC's aint as easy as it used to be.
  9. I think your build is starting to look really good. but yeah my GTX 760 OC (2gb) is really struggling with the NTTR and Normandy maps on 2.0, I'm upgrading soon. I'd suggest future proofing and getting a card with 6Gb of dedicated VRAM if you can somehow squeeze it into the budget. 2.0 can be quite taxing on your system compared to 1.5 great job improving your setup, Its starting to look like a really good balance between performance and affordability
  10. Don't go for the Pentium man, also the SSD isnt really necessary, go for a WD Blue 1tb HD instead, unless you NEED shorter loading times. you can also place less priority on the RAM, get 16gb of 1600mhz RAM, the money you save could go towards a better CPU
  11. Hmmm, thinking about putting ol faithful (the GTX760) in a glass case. It'll be a discussion piece 30+ years from now lol, a piece of technological history, just like those old 80s desktops. Or the computer on the Apollo 11-17 LM
  12. got it, Thanks!
  13. No worries, I'm gonna go with that, If for whatever reason I have a bad chip that doesn't like to OC I'll eventually swap to the i7 if need be. Good call on OC'ing the i5, should save me some money. Thanks!
  14. Hmmm, noted. Thanks! what temps are you getting with the OC'd 4670K? What heatsink/cooler?
  15. So I've been thinking about upgrading my current PC, I built it around 5 years ago as my first setup and it seems to be in need of some, work. The current Specs are: MOBO: Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H RAM: Corsair Vengeance RAM (1600MHz) (2x4gb) CPU: i5 4670K (3.4GHz)(Boost to 3.8GHz)(4 cores 4 threads) GPU: Gigabyte GTX 760 OC windforce(2gb VRAM) Storage: WD Blue 1TB (7200 RPM) I would prefer not to get a new motherboard. I would like to stick with Haswell LGA 1150 CPU's Currently I'm looking at swapping the CPU with an i7 4790K (4.0GHz)(Boost to 4.4)(4 cores 8 threads) swapping the GPU with a Gigabyte GTX 1070 G1 (8gb VRAM) adding 8 more gigs of Corsair Vengeance RAM making the total 16gb (4x4gb) adding another WD Blue 1TB Running NTTR and Normandy has been a nightmare for me, I'd like to have a good setup for all the new aircraft and maps coming up! :pilotfly::thumbup: Do you guys think this will be a good setup? Do you have any suggestions? Really debating spending a grand on this overhaul for the sake of fully enjoying the F-18C, F-14A/B, AV-8B NA, Mi-24P, F-4E and more. Note: I am only running a single 16:9 1080p monitor, I simply want a smooth, high graphical fidelity DCS to play with! Thanks everyone
  16. honestly i always start up using the electrical pump. WAY WAY faster.
