  1. Thank you Cobra, I appreciate your response & I appreciate you stating why you use those settings. I respect that.

I certainly would like to try out your server.

Can I ask, what are you finding in 100% that 50% isn't providing based on these experiences?

Before this thread got out of hand, I actually intervened and tried to put some water on the flames

(From Page 5)I've had the "Slider" at halfway for a week now, doesnt seem to be all that different I must say

I honestly havent noticed any real difference at least not with the way I fire and try to evade missiles. One thing that definitely seems to be the same and that is the 27ET is way too lethal head on. Being a IR or "Heat Seeker" it should not be nearly as dangerous as it is in head on shots.

  2. As I promised I've dug out some values from AnPetrovich. These are time limits to blackout (not to unconciousness) for the certain g-values for the fresh pilot.

    6 - 70 s

    7 - 40 s

    8 - 22 s

    9 - 12 s

So if you get blackout faster you pull the stick too fast.

And now the pilots can estimate our "medium pilot" ability to withstand the G-load.

Unfortunately I could not pull the refreshing time from the author because this function is very complicated and depends on several factors... :)

Han just have recorded three trcks to show that our "pilot" is not so weak somebody want to prove. There are three tracks - 6+ g turn, 8 g turn and guns only dogfight.

    Using Han's tracks as data..

6 - 70 s: Not achieved. 56 Seconds at best and the needle dropped under 6 a couple of times

    7 - 40 s: Not achieved. 32 seconds by my test !BlackOut-test-7

8 - 22 s: Spot on. From 19 seconds to 41 seconds in the track

    9 - 12 s: Close. 10 Seconds !BlackOut-test-9

As for the guns only dogfight. Im not a fighter pilot but I find it hard to believe that a real pilot could sustain such extreme Grey-Outs repeatedly in such a short space of time. To me they would be classed as blackouts. It seems that if the pilot greyed out that much he would need a long period of time to recover before doing the same thing again. In that dogfight most of it was tunnel vision.

  3. I found some interesting reading Centrifuge Training

    Some notes..

"The minimum standard for the course is 7 G for 15 seconds, which is an accepted norm throughout the world."

"One of the important results of high-G research is the demonstration that subjects could be trained to tolerate high-G loads for prolonged periods (9-G up to 45 sec)"

Currently in Lomac (test track supplied) at 10 seconds over 6 Gz, greying out starts to occur. By 25 seconds complete blackout.

Personally I dont worry about the accuracy of Combat flight sims as much as some. I also dont limit myself to one aircraft so if i think the Su27 for instance has an advantage I will fly it. My comeback when someone has a complaint is allways "Its the same for both players. However in this instance it might be worth considering upping the tolerances just a little :icon_jook

  4. I'd also like to add that if the match started on time on the right server we would not have had to drag in someone who was not prepared for the mission. Sending in enemy aircraft on the same team was allways going to create a disaster.

Fortunately for JaBog they were never forced into a predicament like that.

Hopefully GreyGhost. The mission editors will take DedCat's advice and whilst there is a truce between US and Russian forces place them on the same team. Put ULM forces which for Russia are legitimate targets as enemy. This would make a lot more sense. Wouldnt you agree ?

  5. Going by the comments of some in the HL forums, this Section needs to be updated pretty quicky. Seems more people would then buy FC

    Distribution

"The product can be obtained in the following ways:

    Full version on CD: Russian version is distributed by 1C in the CIS territories;

Web site download: Download the add-on to Lock On: Modern Air Combat (Lock On: Modern Air Combat required). -- The English version can be downloaded from http://www.LockOn.ru. Payment will be via PayPal and the download will be approximately 250 MB. The add will works with English, German and French versions of Lock On;"

  6. Last time I played Packman it was 2-1 to me.

We are 1 a piece in ladder matches also.

As for Lomac league. Not our style. Dont like the rules.

You are allways welcome to play us in HL. However Warning! Your flights might be recorded for training purposes.

I remember having a pretty good session against you once in 1.02 Nomad. And you were not the victor. (I think you were having one of those bad days)

I will not respond to any more posts about this topic for fear of warnings from moderators. So if you want to argue please do so in private messages.

  7. For those of you who don't know Sven is one of our most talented members. He doesnt get to fly too much online any more but he has a good excuse.

He's joined the RAAF to hopefully end up as a F18 Pilot. I have never met anyone else so determined to make this dream a reality and if he does get his wings I'm sure he will become one of the best fighter pilots the planet has ever seen.

  8. No one cares?

Someone asked, I responded with what I believe to be the truth.

Those who "don't care" aren't here in the true "competitive" spirit of LO-MAC and online simming. Or have lost the ability to care because they've had their ass whooped one too many times ;)
