This is how I fly (mostly helicopters) Stick in the middle, mouse on the right side, keyboard in front and trust on my left. In some helicopters (KA 50) I use the Keypad in the top left corner for weapon selection and moving. Btw... what keyboard is that you have there?

First minutes on the new map :) Did not end so well ... but the crew survived and the bad boys are dead. Waiting for a taxi now :helpsmilie:

Hi! I love the nevada map, but I would like to see more compounds like in afghanistan. On Persian Gulf map, there seem to exist some: But how many are there? Just one small area or more outside of the big and modern towns?

Hi! If I connect to a multiplayer server, after the initial loading, it is lagging like hell in the Slot overview. If I scroll .. it is lagging behind ... if I click something ... it recognizes my click after seconds. I cant even choose a slot on the 104th Server (I really want to play on it..)

Dont want to spoiler ... but ... maaaaybe in one of the events (not included yet) you could get shoot down :P Maybe there are some terrorists heading to Las Vegas and a "non fly zone" will be generated :P

North Las Vegas :) But I placed some vehicles and stuff so it looks "better" "Nevada Freelancer" is NOT a campaign or "mission selector". You spawn at your headquarter and ask Paul (radio menu) for a mission (rescue, transport, ...). He then gives you a random chosen mission out of the mission pool (currently only 5 rescue missions). Dynamic weather and seasons are not possible in the mission editor in one mission file as far as I know. Dynamic traffic is one of the things I am implementing. Levels and progress - if possible - is not on the priority list right now :) I will post the mission link to 0.2 as soon as the file gets activated by ED (Status: non active)

Hi DCS Community! Since I own DCS, I sometimes fly around in the helicopters without a real mission. Just using my imagination where I have to fly and why. In the last days I learnd some things about the DCS World Editor. And I tried something. I thought "what would it be, if I REALLY have my headquarter, and from there could accept simple "fly from A to B" missions? So I began "Nevada Freelancer". This mission puts you in the situation of a freelancer helicopter pilot. Even if its not that realistic, you work together with the public authorities to rescue people, transport stuff and bring people from A to B. Right now there is not much to do, and it is pretty much a work in progress. Hi! Nearly every flight I take I get a "Fire" warning and the engine shuts down (in 3rd Person you even can see the fire). What do I do wrong?

So ... I decided to go with the Harrier. From there I maybe learn the A10C (seems simlear.. just more ... complicated (the A10C)), will, in some months, buy and learn the Mirage AND aso will maybe buy the Hornet. If the Hornet gets out early enough I get the Hornet instead of the Mirage. Reason for the Harrier was that I have a friend which is in real pilot training for the german Bundeswehr (army) and loves to fly the helicopter in DCS. I think with the Harrier I can support him more than with the Mirage when he flys around in the huey for some transport and rescue missions. Thank you all for these fast and (some) bug replys! Did not expect that! Great community :-O

So .. isnt the harrier just like the A10C with some more ways to start and land but fewer weapons for the ground targets..?

Thanks for the fast responses! I would love to have a aircraft which I will maybe sometime master and with which I can do multiple things. Air to Ground and Air to Air. I understand that the Harrier CAN Air to Air too - but what makes the Mirage so much better in Air to Air combat? Faster?
