With latest O.B. update 2.5.2.17559.377 appeared some strange polygons

I have a ADSL 20 mega, tried again and after many times I finally connected, but sometimes it really takes ages, never had this issue before

I still can't enter any server. The game freezes after selected the server and my only option is to kill dcs.exe. Here is a log dcs.zip

concordo che la WWII di DCS è anni luce indietro rispetto altri (specialmente la simulazione dei danni), a me personalmente non piace la grafica della serie BOx (specialmente i cockpit mi sembrano stile cartoni animati, giudizio personale), so che non è il posto dove parlarne ma anche loro di problemi ne hanno, quindi nessuno ne è esente, preferisco 1000 volte DCS in quanto a realismo (modello di volo perchè come danni ancora non ci siamo anche se ci stanno lavorando) e grafica...

eh si, a differenza di adesso puoi anche installarti su 10 pc e ci giochi dove ti pare invece che portarti appresso il tuo pc come bisogna fare ora con starforce

chromium, non è il discorso che se sta sul culo o no, è una questione di principio. comunque dopo aver scambiato qualche messaggio nel thread che riguardava la protezione mi sono chiarito meglio le idee e concordo che la soluzione che adotteranno loro è migliore di quella di adesso. almeno per quello che mi è stato spiegato e parso di capire posso riassumere così: 1) non avrai problemi di attivazione/disattivazione dei moduli appena saranno migrati da starforce alla nuova soluzione, cioè potrai installare DCS su qualsiasi PC tu voglia, e accedere con il tuo account a patto che sia sempre in modalità online 2) se passi alla modalità offline e cambi qualcosa sul tuo pc allora sono .azzi perchè devi ricontattarli, diversamente invece se dcs è in modalità online allora puoi cambiare hardware/S.O. e tutto ciò che ti pare io avevo capito male l'ultimo passaggio, per questo mi incazzavo, che cioè non potevi cambiare nulla pena dover ricontattare l'assistenza, invece non è così

so how can I use the 2 PC as in your example? I can't go offline on one and then online on the other because as you said now I need to go online again on the same PC, this is confusing me... and again... if I need to change my hardware what should I do? leave it online?

yes... I edited my message when you were answering :) now everything is clear, not perfect because in the rare case something happen when you are not offline you still need to contact ED and ask to have your modules reactivated ah... how can I know what modules are still using starforce and what don't?

ahhhhhhhhh so the starforce is still present? still need to deactivate the modules? we still have the 10 activations/deactivations? edit: wait... you said "the modules using the old starforce", ok.... means that some modules are still using starforce and some not, right?... but will be the old starforce modules be migrated to the new system?

I didn't understand... so what you are telling is : I can install DCS on the PC A I can install DCS on the PC B I login to PC A and all my modules are ready and I can play I logoff on PC A I do everything I want to PC A (change hardware, bios, HD, format, destroy it without loosing my rights to use DCS) I login to PC B and my modules are ready and I can play in the meantime my PC A is ready again because I formatted it or repaired it so I go offline to PC B and can use again the PC A and I can do all this without the ED's help? if this is the scenario then I'm sorry because I thought something different

last thing, so I will not seem I'm against any kind of protection, why we can't have a system like steam? Is ED afraid somebody can install it on more than one computers? and if so? where is the problem in having 1 or more PC with the game, and use it not at the same time? another example, If I live in 2 cities and I have 1 PC in an house and another in the other house, right now I need to buy the modules twice to use it, right? with steam I can install the software in all the PCs that I want and use it not at the same time, it's a different approach... steam is linked to the user, DCS standalone is linked to a machine that I can't touch or I will lose my rights to play... it's frustrating

BIGNEWY, I'm not concerned of losing internet for 3 days... the problem is that somebody don't run the game in 3 days or more then when he/she will decide to play and don't have internet then can't use it or go offline, with this protection you are limiting the legitimated users to play, you know that? I can lose internet just for 1 hour, 1 day or whatelse but if this happen after the 3 days that i haven't run DCS then I'm not allowed to play. And why I should remember to switch offline and online if I decide to don't play for a week or 3 days? You are asking everyboidy to do this to prevent problems... but the main problem is that this solution is not going to work for everybody

not if you lose internet for 3 days, but if you don't run the game for 3 days, and when you decide to play and you don't have internet then you can't use it.

uuuhhh nice... I just did a test... I changed my date 4 days ahead and disconnected internet... and voilà... my modules are disabled! nice... where can I ask for a refund? wasn't like this when I bought all the modules back in time... BEFORE A CONNECTION WAS REQUIRED ONLY TO ACTIVATE THE MODULES!!!!!!!!

e secondo te te lo danno? magari fosse semplice capisco che a parecchi non frega nulla di come vanno le cose, ma mi sento rodere per il fatto che: 1) non riesco a connettermi a un maledetto server per fare una partita in multiplayer 2) ci fosse un cavolo di modulo completo 3) e a cosa pensano? a come fottere colui che ha speso soldi e tempo... perdonate lo sfogo...

ma veramente pensate che i moduli siano la priorità? la loro priorità è come inc..re gli utenti con protezioni e menate varie... mi rode che nella versione standalone hanno messo 1000 protezioni mentre in quella di steam usano solo la protezione di steam... potessi tornare indietro i moduli li prenderei da steam e non dal loro negozio... pensavo che almeno chi gli faceva guadagnare di più veniva trattato meglio ma no...

So, because in the other thread steam is offtopic I will open a new one asking what is the difference between the new 2.5.1 system protection and the steam version of DCS. What i understand is that the offline mode button in the steam version will not be present, and will only use the steam protection, is this true? thanks

forse non mi sono spiegato, a me non frega un tubo di stare offline o online, il problema risiede nel fatto che se ho messo il gioco offline e mi si rompe il pc, devo per forza contattare l'assistenza per riattivare il mio account mentre prima potevo fare da me anche perdendo un attivazione, quindi se per te è più flessibile non lo è per me...

che significa di non accettare la licenza? io l'ho pagata la licenza con delle clausole (inizialmente a me stava bene come era la starforce, se non sbaglio potevi stare offline anche 1 mese senza dover attivare o disattivare nulla), ora tu mi cambi le condizioni ma almeno dammi la possibilità di chiedere il rimborso visto che ti ho pagato e ora mi ritrovo con delle condizioni che non sono quelle iniziali del contratto che ho stipulato, e non mi sembra giusto, se poi a qualcuno va bene qualsiasi cosa gli venga proposto buon per lui comunque ora la chiudo qui per evitare altre inutili beghe
