OK then:It's Where it shine during the 15%of the time they spend to train AG
-
True. But I spoke about Pre-Gulf War/Cold War A/G low level doctrine. This is what 2000C SNA was designed for and shine:joystick:.
-
N stand for Nuc, -5 for the 5 displays in the cockpit and I'm not sure for the D but I think it's "Diversifié" (diversified). AG on 2000C is a matter of doctrine more than aircraft capabilities. A well modelled/Bug free Mirage should be a very good AG platform. For instance the french Jaguar which is Mirage2000C contemporary AG platform was considered as a good ground pounder, but its weapon system was worse than a mirage.

Same problem here. I've got this lines in the dcs.log concerning the 339. maybe it can help. 2019-07-24 16:58:18.340 ERROR EDCORE: LoadLibrary failed for C:\Users\\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods/aircraft/MB-339PAN/bin/MB339.dll: (126) Le module spécifié est introuvable. 2019-07-24 16:58:18.340 ERROR SECURITYCONTROL: Failed to load C:\Users\\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods/aircraft/MB-339PAN/bin/MB339.dll: (126) Le module spécifié est introuvable. 2019-07-24 16:58:18.340 ERROR WorldPlugIns: Can't load plugin module MB339.dll

here is lot of problems concerning the INS, for exemple: In SEC mode the INU is supposed to work like an AHRS, so no waypoints, no Flight Path Marker and "energy chevrons". In the game you keep the FPM an d chevrons More serious, in VEI, OFF or damaged the, INU should'nt provide anything. So no ADI, no HSI, no firing solutions, no heading or attitude in VTB and VTH unless you rely on the standby attitude (switch on right side). Currently in the game everything works perfectly with INU switched off. A last one: Waypoints displayed on the VTB does'nt drift like the INS. I don't want to be harsh but I have sometimes the feeling the coders don't understand very well what they are supposed to replicate.

Congratualation with this plane, this is in my own opinion the best non 3rd party mod. I have noticed some bugs: -There is a big problem with the altimeter. It's not possible to set the altimeter correctly. An increase in the setting lead to a decrease of the altitude. This should be in the other way. In reality if you increase the setting the altitude increase as well. Furthermore the step between 2 hectopascal should be 27 feet, but it's closer to 15 feet in your plane. -I managed to use the GPS and when you select a waypoint, the needle on the HSI doesn't point toward the waypoint but the distance seems correct. I hope this will help ;) -
Set Ukraine on Blue Team. It works with both EWR. Unfortunatly GCI speak in Russian with metric units.

Hi everyone. After a long break with with DCS, I started again to fly the Mig, and I noticed something. Maybe it's my imagination but in my remembers BLC (or SPS) and nose gear brakes used to be fonctional. It was more or less impossible to turn with nose break on and if you switched of the off the SPS you had a noticable increased final speed. Now both switches do nothing noticable. If I didn't just dreamded it, Why this features have been disabled?

You rock Jojo! This is exatly this kind of doc I looked for to give a proof that a lock at 15 Nm is unrealistic. IRL it's even possible to deny the lock until the mix with proper engine management.
-
I found something strange during this test. In f-15 if you slave the seeker to the radar you can obtain a lock from further than if you rely only from the missile seeker. Normaly the radar just steer the misile seeker to the target. It dont make it more accurate. This make me think the IR seeker model is realy simplistic. Maybe deabate about realistic values is useless so far.
-
I checked on the m-2000 aircraft lua file: IR emission coef is 0.8 (1 is Su-27 without afterburner. It is reference.) IR emission coef_ab is 1.62 to compare with: F-5E is 0.4/2 F-18 is 0.58/2.5 I didn't find those for Su-27 and F-15 I think it hepls to understand the discrepancy. The question now is how this values are chosen? My guess: It's more or less arbitrary.
-
There is definitely discrepancy, some are at 7Nm (Mig-21,F-5, 6.5 for the mirage) and some others at more than 15Nm. So even if the mirage is little bit low some others look to much.

2.5.2.20143 stable version
-
According to my test: Mirage no AB: 3.5 Mirage with AB: 6.4 Mig-21 and F-5 are around 7Nm with Ab as well And the winner is Mig-25 with a tone at 23Nm:music_whistling: M-2000.trk
-
You don't think the problem comes from the other side instead? 15 Nm for a head on tone looks weird.

Climbing performance much worse than it should be
Tumbleweed1606688689 replied to Corrigan's topic in Bugs and Problems
Hi Any news about this issue? Unless I missed something the manual fuel regulator doesn't work anymore, so it's even worst now. It's very difficult to climb this plane above 7000m even without any payload. Not very convinient to carry out Hi-L-Hi profile. -
In fact you can go supersonic with wings tanks, it's just not allowed by the manual. But mach 2 with wings tanks looks wrong. There is maybe a problem with tanks drag itself. It looks like only the fuel weight produce induced drag and disapear as more as you burn it. Sorry for my english ;)

[OLD BUG REPORTS] Cleaning and Organization of old posts
Tumbleweed1606688689 replied to RAZBAM_ELMO's topic in Resolved Bugs
This part of the module really needs some love. Even if it's a WIP, the failure model is a little bit light. (just to compare with A-10C or F-5E). It could be interesting to have some more, like: -engine failures like DSV, Engine CALC failure or compressor stall (it happens sometimes). -Lost of the AOA or pitot probes, it should lead to a catastrophic FBW failure and it should happen when you take some shells. -Jammed slats.... All this small stuffs that render the cabin switches little bit useful. In my opinion, it's a really good module for the moment but it could be almost perfect with this. Dont give up RAZBAM. -
Hi, IIRC the French B version has a refueling probe but it's not able to take fuel. The probe is just a "contact" training device. Is it the same for BE version?
-
Oops, too slow :smilewink:
-
Hi. That's normal, all headings are magnetic in the plane but the F2 view give the true heading. You can set the true heading if you want. Just put your HSI on Cv (Cap Vrai).
-
I think, there are old 1700l RPL of the Mirage III E/R, so yes FAF had it in his inventory, but never saw it mounted on FAF 2000. By the way you can mount the old Mirage III 1300l RPL on a 2000 centerline pylone, and it was done, you can find old picture of 2000N with it. But honestly, without for esthetic reason, i dont think they ad something new for the gamplay.
